Great for my evening Scotch on the rocks. Big enough to have two glasses without having to revisit the freezer. Keeps the integrity of the scotch (not diluted so much) due to its larger size, ie larger volume to surface area means less water more chill and more flavour.Down size - the silicon doesn’t have large gaps/space, so it freezes into a large block that is impossible to shake out like the old-school harder plastic style. Needs to be sat in the sink with water (warm not hot less it melts ! ) for a minute or two to help remove a cube.Takes a lot longer to freeze too. More than 12 hours.Good overall if you like a dram

A little about product details, its an outer hard tray, and 2 inner silicon trays, each one for 24 cubes. The silicon trays are slightly different, the lower one has "MAX" marks for filling, when the whole thing is closed the lower one doesn't gets sealed (by the upper one), but the upper does (by the tray's hard lid). That means you put this tray horizontally on the fridge, or use only the upper part if you want different. Its well made, well designed, precise finish, and good materials. I still don't have used it enough to know how much room for the ice to expand is needed, and how that works. I also haven't found, or thought, of a fast way to fill it. Its about 10 ml per cube, and I went one by one (yep, I studied Chemistry, so I'm probably over thinking it). Excellent small cube Ice Tray

I really like this two tier ice cube tray. The ability to stack them is ideal for our small freezer and the lid is easy to put on and take off. I have had no difficulty removing the frozen cubes from the trays, as the silicone easily bends to allow you to press out the cube - if any do stick, then simply leaving it for 15-20 seconds makes it easier to press out. The stand and lid are sturdy enough to allow the carrying of the two filled trays to the freezer without any spillage. The trays wash well and so far have been in continuous use without any issues.

Very large ice cubes - exactly what I was after. Only thing is I wish I had more glasses that could actually fit them so I could fill one up. They work well in my cider glass though and I bought 2 trays so will always have a supply!

This is a neat ice cube tray, the double layer system saves space and the rigid holder helps to fill it more easily. You do have to take care not to over-fill (as noted on the lower tray) as the layers will stick together. The lid is a good feature to help reduce spills on the way to the freezer and in manoeuvring it into a drawer. The trays sometimes need a bit of extra flexing to release the cubes but it is just a small niggle.

Interesting Find
3 September 2021

I got rid of my ice cube trays years ago - the standard ones were such a pain. In the meantime, we've purchased bags of ice and kept them in our chest freezer; they weren't very convenient and the cubes had to be broken-up each time we needed some (again, not convenient). I spotted this little ice cube system and decided to give it a try. It's interesting, smaller than I thought it would be but that's ok. The little cubes can be tricky to get out of the molds, but I find that if I wiggle the mold a bit (it's silicone) and then push from the underside, I can get them out. I was concerned that the cubes wouldn't last very long in a glass full of liquid but, surprisingly, they do! So, if you don't need loads of ice constantly and you want something that doesn't take up ... MoreI got rid of my ice cube trays years ago - the standard ones were such a pain. Not bad at all
29 August 2021

I had been hunting for a while to find one that didn't leak and also had a cover but where the plastic didn't break due to the cold and twisting to get the ice cubes out. I like the fact that I can stack the two parts and that they're silicone so they don't fracture or crack with the cold Down side, not regular sized ice cubes, also does leak and needs to be kept level when freezing. Wasnt a problem with the previous type I used. Would I buy again, no, is it bad, no, I just find it isn't as excellent as many of the other oxo items.

We purchased these smaller cube tray along with 2 larger cube trays. Love how nice it is to have them covered and the ridged frame on the tray makes filling a breeze. I sometimes need to run water to get that first large cube out but my husband loves these.

Wanted smaller ice cubes and this is perfect. Takes up little space in the freezer and ice cubes come out easily.

There are so many design issues with this I'll have to start from top to keep everything straight.1.Lid is almost impossible to remove without letting it sit at room temp for a minute.2. Lid sticks to the upper ice tray if it is even a tiny been over filled3. First ice tray sticks to second ice tray if second ice tray is filled to the top so you have to under-fill both trays so they don't stick to each other.4. Cubes even if they are over the edge of the tray are difficult to get out (especially if you are trying to keep the ice unmelted by over handling it.I thought this would be perfect for my small freezer. A way to maximize space by having a full tray of cubes in the space of half a tray. Silicone trays like this only really work if they have some harder pieces to help them. Without, you are just dealing with a wiggly mess and that is exactly what this product is.
