This container seems to have a good seal to keep food fresh. It is easy to open and close with the push of the button on top. It’s also easy to clean. This size is quite small though, and I’m not sure of how versatile it is because of its size. It is definitely for dry goods only. I’m using it for snacks for my family. It works well for that purpose, but the lids do not seem that durable due to the design. I’m not sure how long it will hold up to constant opening and closing. It is probably better suited for pantry goods that aren’t used frequently.

The lid of the container is simple and easy to use. Just push and pop the center button up to unseal and push down to seal. When the center button is in the up position it gives you a handle to make removing the lid a breeze. The container will hold 1.1 quarts which is great for a pound of brown sugar, tea bags or coffee. The container maintains an air tight seal so you don't have to worry about bugs or your contents going stale. I have used this container and loves it. I like the fact that I can clearly see my food and its very easy to open with its easy to grip push button. Its idea for anyone that has a hard time opening container. Its dishwasher safe and helps keep my food from becoming stale. It keeps my brown sugar from clumping which is very impressive to me. I also love that it doesn't take up alot of space, its has an ideal size for a 1lb of brown or confectioner sugar. I recommend this product.

I bought a full set of Oxo Good Grips POP Containers years ago and needed a particular size. I ordered the 0.9 qt. small square short container. Although this item appears to be available when shopping online, there is a newer model of this item 1.1 qt. and to my disappointment, that is what I received. I should have returned it and continued my search for the original model to match my set (if it is still available). I grind my coffee beans and the small square short size is perfect for my needs. The people at Maycrest Hardware are most helpful and appreciated!
See photo. Can see the gaps in where the grey seal should be coming into contact with the clear plastic. The lids slide off when "locked" with minimal force, and how poorly they seal ranges on each unit- some give more resistant than others. There's no way these are actually airtight or consistent in manufacturing. Received units all scratched up in my order, as well. Get something else, these really are no good.
I love these OXO POP containers because they do exactly as advertised. They REALLY do seal air-tight! And I have several good reasons for having securely sealed containers in my kitchen.First, bugs! (sorry) We live wayyy out in the woods and our climate attracts ants and food moths. These are the best containers I’ve ever used for keeping those “friends” out of my cupboards. And, bonus, the shape makes my shelves look so tidy and organized.Another reason I love these?Refrigerator storage for stinky things!I use a lot of strong smelling foods (garlic, kimchi, etc) in my cooking. Even in a jar or plastic baggie, you can STILL smell the items in my ‘fridge! Not great when you ALSO have half a chocolate cake in there. These POP containers are PERFECT for sealing up ... As some may or may not know, OXO recently changed the design of these containers, and they are no longer as good as they once were. The new design slims everything down, including a complete redesign of the lids. Slimming the containers is great, but these lids are no longer air tight and food goes stale quickly. You’re better off using a ziplock bag. OXO needs to swap the kids back to the older design that wouldn’t slide out when you hold the lid. These wouldn’t be effective even if they were $3 each.

I have a toddler and we usually have a few bags of open snacks that usually go stale because the bags don’t close like they are supposed to. This is the best walnut holder I have ever had!! I feed the squirrels and the usual containers I use do not keep them as fresh as I’d like. This one keeps them fresh and as tasty as can be for my little friends. It is easy to open and easy to close. The pop-up top makes it perfectly sealed when closed and makes it easy to open. It is the perfect size to hold a 16 oz. bag of walnuts. We put this to perfect use the very day we got it. I love that you can see how much is in there with the clear container.
