Scratch/use/hard water marks are hidden by brushed stainless, which also improves stain/corrosion resistance. The silicone inserts are durable, heat-resistant, and can be removed for cleaning or replacement. They also firmly lock into place, preventing them from popping out at random. The locking mechanism is big and easy to use (even with gloves/mitts on), sturdy, and easily accessible (the hanging hole is convenient.) I really like these tongs, especially because they're small. I was really happy when I found them because I hate how big regular tongs are.
I bought it to replace a similar one, same size. I keep it next to my oven toaster, to grab the toasted bread and bagels, works perfectly 👍
