Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc 750ml

(1,336 reviews)

The first Oyster Bay. Which happened to win the best Sauvignon Blanc in the world. Its brilliant clarity, extraordinary aromatic flavors and refreshing zest are both thrilling and enthralling. It all starts in Oyster Bay’s Marlborough vineyards, in the region famous for introducing elegant, cool climate New Zealand wines to the world. Marlborough’s warm days and cool nights create an extended growing season allowing the grapes to develop strong, intense varietal characteristics while maintaining a balanced, crisp natural acidity. The result is a distinct wine that is always crisp, elegant, and refreshing. Stunningly aromatic tropical fruits and bright citrus notes, with a refreshingly zesty finish. This wine pairs perfectly with lighter meals, a variety of fresh Asian flavors, and seafood. Made to be enjoyed within a year or two of the vintage.

As an avid wine enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of savoring Oyster Bay's Sauvignon Blanc, and I must say it was an absolute delight. This New Zealand white wine captivated my senses with its vibrant flavors and refreshing character. The first thing that caught my attention was the wine's inviting aroma. As I gently swirled the glass, I was greeted by the enticing fragrance of tropical fruits, particularly passion fruit and zesty citrus notes. I received this product free from Influenster for reviewing purposes. I picked up this wine from my local Target and it was very reasonably priced at $12.00. Overall, this is not a wine that I would repurchase. While the wine wasn’t particularly unpleasant, I feel that there are other wines within the $10-15 range that are of higher quality. I typically enjoy Sauvignon Blancs, but I found this particular bottle to be very sweet and a bit cloying. It was reminiscent of a Riesling. I ended up mixing in fruit and orange juice, and it made the perfect base for a sangria!

I received this complimentary as part of an incentivized campaign in exchange for my honest review. Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc was a big hit for my backyard seafood cookout. This wine is crisp, clean, refreshing and herbaceous. Very acidic in a good way, great for hot weather days. In this wine I pick up a gooseberry, guava, lemon, lime, grapefruit, green apple and melon flavor with a nice grassy undercurrent. Several of my friends took a picture of the bottle because they liked it so much. For the price this is a total home run. Highly recommend!

I got this free bottle from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I love wine! This is now one of my favorite on the list. I paired the Oyster bay Sauvignon Blanc with the bow tie chicken mushroom Alfredo pasta and it was the most delicious meal. The wine is crisp and refreshing and washed away the buttery tastes of the Alfredo. Its a citrus, fruity wine great taste for a hot summer day. Great wine amazing price and I highly recommend!

I just want to start by saying I received this product for free from a complimentary Influenster promotion, but my thoughts and opinions are my own. I will start by saying that I don’t consider myself a wine connoisseur nor do I drink wine on a regular basis, but wanted to give this one a try. The bottle is pretty and I’m a fan of the name. I drank about an 6 oz pour and after initial sip, I knew it wouldn’t be for me. It’s very bitter…too bitter. I’m used to a sweeter wine or something a bit more playful as this one hits you with this face scrunching reaction after fully tasting and swallowing. It’s hard to tell what exactly I find so off-putting, but it has this woodsy, natural taste that is purposefully not covered my sweetener or something to make it a bit more ... MoreI just want to start by saying I received this product for free from a complimentary Influenster promotion, but my thoughts and opinions are my own. I’d personally spend $8 more and get a better tasting bottle. Sadly I would pass on this in the future.

[I received a cashback offer thanks to #Influenster and #OysterBay for my honest review of this product.] This wine was the perfect choice for a warm summer evening. It had a great taste and was (too) easy to drink. The taste was very nice and enjoyable. Usually I prefer an old fashioned cork but the twist off was extremely convenient and made me rethink my preferences. Nothing like the tantalizing taste of a chilled glass of Oyster Bay Pinot Gris dancing on your tongue to remind you that life is worth living. Highly recommend.

Has more subtle flavors that allow it to be a good accompaniment to lighter foods. In my case, I paired it with some sushi, which worked perfectly. The citrus and undertones of spice fit perfectly with the sushi. Pick up some floral notes on the nose to go with the citrus. Like the flavor, the fragrance is understated. Overall a solid and refreshing white wine to enjoy on hot summer days.

Note: I was incentivized to purchase this product and review it as part of an Influenster campaign but the review is my own. I’ll start out by saying I’m decidedly not a wine snob. I can’t pick out notes and nuances like some. I enjoy wine and drink a good bit of it, but I am an average consumer. I particularly enjoy a good Sauvignon Blanc. And I’ll be honest, I’d probably drink any of the mass market boxed offerings before I’d buy this one again. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but something about this one was just offputting. The aroma was reminiscent of Sav Blanc I’ve had before with a very harsh undertone of something I didn’t like. It just didn’t smell right. The taste was a bit better. It was just very average in every way. It didn’t have the sweetness I’d expect to balance out the alcohol. It just felt unrefined and like it needed more time or work. For $10, it’s not the worst thing you can pick, but for a couple bucks more you can get better wine from a box. For that reason, this isn’t a repeat buy, and I can’t say I recommend it.

I was offered a cash back campaign from Influenster and this is my review of the Oyster Bay Pino Gris. This Pinot Gris is from Oyster Bay from New Zealand. It’s a white wine and I choose it because I wanted to judge it’s taste and cooking potential. The wine itself is pretty bitter to me. I didn’t much care for it even after having let it breathe for a while. It seemed immature to my tongue and wasn’t ready to be bottled from the casks. I do feel it fares much better when using it to cook with. I made a white wine sauce with some shrimp and linguini and it fared fairly nicely. I wouldn’t recommend this wine to drink I think there’s better white wines out here than this one for that but it did fairly well for cooking so maybe give that a try.
