I read the negative reviews about this product which said the switch was unusable, but I bought one anyway because it was so cheap, and when I got it out of the box I thought "they're right", the switch seemed broken. But then I read the instructions and the switch works perfectly well when used as intended. Very cheap and very small grinder, but very well suited to small jobs at home.

I bought this angle grinder as a cheap alternate to a circular saw, so that I could cut and grind metal at home without much money. From my experience with the grinder so far, I a pleased with my decision. When I bought the grinder, it was around the size I expected, and had all the features advertised. I used it straight away to cut through some sheet metal, and it was great! If I was to give some criticism, it would probably be aimed at the on/off switch. It is good that it has a safety locking mechanism, but it does feel a little cheap, and I am worried to put too much pressure on it. Apart from this though, this is a great grinder, and would definitely recommend you buy it!

This grinder is surprisingly powerful and does exactly what it's intended to do. I've used grinding, cutting and flap discs and also used a wire brush wheel and have worked the grinder fairly hard at times and its performed flawlessly so far. Time will tell about its longevity but I did purchase it because it was cheap and easily replaceable should it fail. The grinder does feels cheap with the flimsy button slide and lock, which although works fine now, may be the first thing to fail in the future. The grinder feels good in the hand and feelsrobust due to the solid weight of the unit and roundness of the handgrip. Overall, a good little grinder that represents great value for money with the included 3 year warranty. Highly recommended for the serious home ... After a few weeks of use they button became so stiff I couldn’t turn it on. I suspect it has become blocked with dust but an angle grinder button that isn’t dust proof is a poor design indeed.Shame because apart from the button it’s working great.
Whilst the grinder worked fine and did the job I purchased it for, I feel the safety lock mechanism isn’t the smartest idea on an angle grinder and wished I had of purchased the one in the kit for $10 more with the trigger operation! They should have auto shut OFF if anything, not lock-on “safety switch”. If something goes pear shaped, the thought of trying to turn the still running grinder off whilst injured with its flimsy plastic on/off button gives me anxiety.
I bought this angle grinder a few months ago to replace my worn out Makita, which was about 10 years old. This device is dangerous! It's so hard to turn on with that ridiculous safety switch. Who designed that? Today I've been using it extensively in short bursts. The skin on my thumb is almost gone.
Bought it 2010 had it for 10yrs built 2 box trailers and numerous steel projects. Have used it with various H/Duty wire wheels, sanding discs, cutting and grinding dics. Its not a large and cumbersome unit, easy to use and powerful to do the jobs required. I have worn out my grinder will be buying new Ozito 100mm grinder replacement asap.
Had a several jobs lined up - and a dead angle grinder which dies after several years (another brand). Bought this on my experiences with a couple other Ozito products (all good). I am happy I went with this model. I had expected to go larger - but the reviews convinced me that this might do the job. And that it does - very well. Saved me hours with a hacksaw. Very impressed with the ability and the compact size. I doubt I will ever need anything else for cutting or grinding metal..
I always use this product have for years one product I had a problem with was a sander after approximately 12 month, based on cost it paid for itself any, the grinder is a reserve extra I can now have one for steel cutting and one for timberI recently per chastised a $199 mitre saw unbelievable doing all my work in half the time with the laserI recommend this brand to anyone going doing job around the house, 0354493962Geoff
good power, but dam difficult power switch 2 step, and it will snap off at a moment notice, often, also the button to lock the drive to tighten or undo the locking disk for holding attached dis on is very hard to push in. I found I could not in anyway use my left hand to use it.. and wile I am please with it and the makita cutting disk i bought, i found it a little to difficult to use compated to my old ozito grinder (that i lof in the feb 2022 floods, dam). I would not have bought this isf I had known how difficult it was to use.
