Another great product from Ozito......needed a hand-held drill that had a high rpm (had two speed settings) to get a clean finish on a kwila deck for the counter-sunk decking screws. Always bought Ozito products and loved the above market standard warranty period for peace of mind and always lasted well and great value for money.

This little drill kit cost $45.What would you expect for $45 where you get a drill, battery & charger right?Well, I did quite a bit of testing with this drill today, and I was blown away. This 10mm chuck size drill punches well above its weight, and well above who this kit is aimed at.Basic drill/driving jobs, is probably the type of DIY'er this kit will be purchased by..No it does not have a 2 speed box, but that does not matter as it has a variable speed trigger. The chuck requires 2 hands to tighten it, where the next skin up in the range (the $49 13mm chuck size hammer drill) has a 2 speed box and a one handed chuck operation.Using the supplied 1.5ah battery, I used a multitude of screws (please see images) during this test from 14g (6mm) x 100mm gal ... Did this operation 10 times no issues. We found our limit on the 14g 100mm gal screw, and half way, she just stopped.I could keep getting another couple of mm each time I pressed the trigger, but the cut out works great, and she does not wind down to a stall speed, once its over loaded she just cuts out. Something my Bosch did not do.So this is very safe for the drill, its cuts out when it has had enough. All of this operation, which lasted over 35 minutes, depleted the battery to 1 bar out of 3, so the baby battery also punches well above its weight.I tried the 4ah battery that came with my PXC 2 x 18v telescopic handle mower, and it was no different at doing the job, it would simply last longer. All in all a really great result, from one of the best value, but very well built drills on the market.

The chuck loses grip during jobs. Though I tighten it up like the guide book says. I suspect it's the way it does a super fast deceleration after a high-ish speed drilling action. But I'm always picking up drill bits or screwdriver bits that drop on the floor or the mud. Annoying, and ridiculous.

A really good budget addition, perfect for those moving into their first homes or starting their first tool kits! Highly recommended. The battery life is brilliant, and the torch feature really helps make sure you get it exactly where you want it
It's not the most powerful drill but good enough to do the job. The battery life is between ok and good. The reason I gave it 5 stars was because of the 5 year warranty if it breaks I can replace it without hassle! And the batteries are cheaper compared to other brands.
Great size for driving screws in as it’s reasonably small and light weight. The torque mechanism can be adjusted quite low so that you can minimise the possibility of stripping screws. Better adjustment I feel than my Ryobi. Sure it doesn’t have 2 speeds but I don’t feel you need it.
Bought this for basic work around the house, wasn't intended for heavy duty jobs, just the odd drill here or assembling furniture.Unfortunately it couldn't even hold up that long, only used it twice once to disassemble a bed (had to use a screwdriver to loosen the screws first or it wouldn't work) and to drill a few small holes in a chipboard shelf to feed some wires through which it struggled with.Going to take this back to the store for a refund/upgrade.
Machine is best for most of jobs but after doing heavy work like drilling through concrete wall or operating for longer run the drill chuck does not seem to be stay straight.
Unbeatable value for complete 18v drill kit (drill + battery + charger), great tool, easy to use, good torque, compact, auto shut off so it can’t overheat if try to drill something that’s beyond its capabilities/capacity, fantastic warranty (3 year battery, 5 year on drill itself). Only negatives are it’s a little heavier than other drills I’ve owned, and I had to order and get delivered as limited stock available. But I would still give 10/10 and would absolutely buy again.
I rated five stars because I don't usually do work around the house and I was hesitant to buy, because I didn't know which tool I actually needed. For those who need a quick purchase to do quick work around the house including putting up mounts for tvs, this would be your pick. I just wish I knew earlier that I also had to get certain drill bits as well.
