I bought this in March 2022. This review is 6 months after purchase. Barely used it over the winter months but thought it was good during that time. I liked the ability to adjust the head, the simple way to attach the blades and the compact size when folded. Unfortunately it has not lasted - a lug on the spindle plate that you attach the blades to broke. I took it back to Bunnings as I was comforted at the time of purchase by the 5 year replacement warranty only to be told the spindle was only warranted for 3 months and I would have to order and pay for a replacement part. I confirmed this with Ozito who said the spindle plate is classed as a consumable as it wears down during use. Well this didn't wear down - it snapped off. If you are considering buying this ... When deciding which cordless whipper to buy I was put off by the negative reviews...my concern being the rate of use of the blades per the comments. However, I have other Ozito products and can't fault them so I decided to instead talk to a staff member in Bunnings about my concerns and she said honesty most bad reviews are user error. So I brought one. I haven't looked back. This is one example of bad reviews doing more harm than good. It's 119 bucks and while it's not heavy duty it works fine for a normal house lawn...there is excellent value in getting a charger..a battery and a tilting head with adjustable shaft plus a compartment to carry the spare blades. I think there are some seriously incapable users out there and I'm annoyed I waited so long.

I brought it just after Christmas last year so its just over 12 months old. Super light to use, tackles the thickest greass or weeds. Blades are so easy to pop on.No more winding cord or having to fix it because cord wont come out or its twisted.Battery charges in 30 minutes. Charger comes with it and it very user friendly. You can tell instantly if its finished charging. Batter also works with the other OZito products. I also brought the small lawn mower and the Blower. I already oen of the drills. Batteries all re charge with same charger and are mostly interchanble with it handy if the lawnmower runs out of power.

I love this! I've had no problem with the "blades" snapping or anything. It goes through thick grass and "thickish" weeds too! I call it a "girls whipper snipper" because it's lightweight, doesn't need a 20 foot extension cord and there's no trying to figure out the petrol/oil ratio. It starts easy and first time, every time. My only gripe is the battery doesn't last as long as it says. But it's a great trimmer for everyone (especially older ladies like myself! lol)
I am on my second trimmer by this brand!The first one part of the metal and the attachment point broke away and l couldn’t get a refund so l had to buy a second one.I bought a second one because of the weight. I am mobility restricted and can’t carry heavy tools. Nothing else on the market like this! So there maybe a third Ozito in the future!!!Would appreciate it if l could getMoney back for one of them. At the very least it would be good for the warranty to be true which it’s not at present.Perhaps that’s how they make money!
Bought it today with much hesitation but I'm pleasantly surprised by how well this thing cuts, even compared to my previous Stihl petrol trimmer!Pros: Really, really easy to reolace blade. No more messing around with spools of line! Very clean cut - can double up as an edger. Actually quite powerful with a 4ah battery. Can tackle most things my petrol one could.Cons: I've only used it for 10 mins so durability is still in question. Made with cheap plastic but don't see it breaking unless I really thrash it around. The blade came off after first use but that could have been because I retracted the bumper guard halfway through.Overall: If you're hesitant by how cheap it looks and worried about the plastic blade mechanism, don't be! It's probably 80% as powerful ... I was skeptical at first but this thing is amazing! I don't have to mess about with mixing fuels, struggling to start and keep a petrol motor running, numerous stops and starts for re-threading the line, loud noise, heat and smoke. This little battery job is quiet, efficient, can stop and start anytime with zero effort and does the job! I haven't done the whole place yet as the grass is too wet so far and I have a lot of gnarly weeds, but I'm looking forward to giving it a real workout. So far it has performed perfectly. My only complaint is the safety switch is a pain to hold down. I have taped it on with duct tape. Very impressive so far!

I live on a smaller property and I'm able to get 30-45 minutes out of this whipper snipper on a full charge. It's been able to cut smoothly through thick grass.The plastic blades are sturdy, and even when they hit brick, pavement, etc, still hold up well. I'm still on the first blade! The trick to keep the blades in good nick, especially when dealing with thick grass is to start from the top and not hack at the thickest part of it straight away.The one negative I would have is that when you're using this trimmer you constantly have to squeeze the trigger, and although the trimmer isn't that heavy, your hand/arm may still get sore.For your average suburban ... Had this for about 6 months now and is an awesome little tool. I read the guide on how to use it and it took 2 or 3 goes before really understanding how to get the right angles for different edges but since then I rarely break or lose a blade.Tip: always use the steel blade protection bar at the front fully extended and along edging place the corner of the safety guard and the blade protection bar against the edging so they both touch. (I never break a blade this way). You'll have to work out the tilting for each job.Works great but read the instructions before first use.
