Bought this to trim a big tree in back yard. At first it hacked thou the branches so called Ozito. My thinking was it needs a finer chain, they said see Bunnings so I did. The people at Bunnings were great very helpful, tried a different chain. Same result a hacker but noticed if pushed hard down on to the branch it cut great. The head of the saw can adjust to different angles but the tolerance is to much and so the head has movement in it so it jumps /chaters or hacks on the smaller branches. I hope they read this and try the saw to see what I mean and fix it?? Over all not a real bad saw it does the job but could be great if fixed

Worked great with my 5.2mah battery. In my experience with power intensive tools the 5.2 is necessary as it has a faster discharge rate. I had the pole fully extended and it was awkward but manageable. I used it to cut down a spikey yukka about 7 m high and 450mm wide in parts, wedges between sensitive infrastructure. I wanted some clearance from the spikey leaves when cutting. No issues with the chain coming loose. The chain is small but I didn't have much issue cutting through large branches.

My story is similar to Nick's (previous review) where I got a quote to cut my tree for $750, unbelievable mate, I thought the gardener was having me on. His reasoning was the tree was 5m from power lines. Hold onto my steak & cheese, a quick trip to Bunnings (where I actually got a combo - Ozito pole pruner, hedge trimmer, 3a battery & a charger for $229NZD) & the job is done. Very easy to assemble. Make sure the chain is around the right way (it'll kick off if it's not) and there is enough oil in the chain saw & you're good to go. The pole is adjustable, so you can set it to any length & what I really enjoyed, was the head was pivotal (if that is even a word?) Great buy & great value & with it being on battery, it is very mobile. Happy cutting team...

I bought one of these because I cut a lot of branches and was tired of climbing ladders. This saw is far better than I thought it would be. I have the pruner and chainsaw end and they both work great. I rarely flatten the battery. A great product.
Bought this 2 days ago.Pros:- Easy to put together. And it works.Cons:- Extremely heavy (aren't they all), so need a strong bloke to operate this.- the cutting head has a bit of play on it. Not firmly solid locked in - a bit of wobble. Is this normal?At the rip off rates quote nowadays, the thing pays for itself on 1st small job.
I need to cut some branches off a a few tall trees close to my roof and considered getting tree fellers in but then came across this item when searching on the Bunnings website and thought I had nothing to lose by buying it at this price, even if it didn't do all of what I needed it to do.This is well worth it. Easy to assemble, extends to around 2.7m, built and designed very well (to last). I was able to cut all the branches off that I wanted to and more. I'm sure I saved a lot of money doing it myself with this tool
Pruner is great makes trimming large hedges easy with the long reach pole. Battery life is good using ozito 3.0Ah battery. My only gripe is the package does not include chain oil and was out of stock. So I couldn’t use it out of the box. Drive and collect is slow took a couple of days for the order to be ready. Bunnings delivery is so expensive it should be free in COVID lockdown.
I have used this pole saw on my lifestyle block that has an assortment of tree sizes. The handle and saw angle is adjustable on this model, and it seems to be the only pole saw that has adjustment. I found it very handy to adjust the angle when cutting in awkward areas. Being only 18v, it is underpowered for big branches but one of the easiest to use trimmers for small branches. If you use a one of the larger batteries, it will do a considerable amount of trimming before needing a charge. Very practical tool with superior design compared to higher priced alternatives.
I’m a horticulturist, I do a lot of pruning and hedging. This does the job, has made my job much easier for the branches I struggle to get too. This is heavier then I anticipated it to be, it’s a bit of a balancing act at times especially when working on slope & inclines, just takes a bit of practice and being a shorter person doesn’t help. So many reviews have mentioned that it leaks, in my experience it does a little bit so I detach the chainsaw part of the pruner after using it, wrap it in an old t-shirt around it and it sits up right in my tool create- never leaks that way. Will be buying the hedging attachment next.
