I’m so glad I bought this. I don’t want the hassle of a corded vac but got sick of waiting for the Dyson to charge in between increasingly short bursts of battery life. I already have a heap of batteries for my garden tools so the price is great - you’d have to do the math if you didn’t already have the batteries. Suction is great with the 4.0 and 5.2 batteries, probably not as good with the smaller batteries. Its brilliant for cleaning the car - my 2 year old kid got in the other day and said “wow daddy has new car!” Haha Per other reviews the standard head is total garbage. I straight away jumped on ebay and bought a Wessel Werk RD285 (with a 35mm adaptor) for about $30 as suggested in Nick’s review and it is significantly better, though I miss the power head on ... I didn't expect a battery-powered vacuum to be an essential gardening tool 😳. One bean stock was totally vandalised by little grey moths, another was under attack, and they even started on my lemon tree! But they are hard to catch - as soon as you get close they start like a Harrier jump jet! But when I come close with the vacuum (just use the normal tube, the thin tube is too strong and rips off leaves) then they hold on to the leave or twig they are on - and I can simply vacuum them off! In about 15 min I caught about 60-70 yesterday 🥳. Have recharged the battery - let battle commence!

I decided to try out this vacuum and was really amazed by the power involved in conjunction with the PowerFit 35mm Wet / Dry Floor Brush as the original head leaks air. I utilised the 5.2Ah battery and waited 120 minutes for a full charge with the fast charger battery dock. Just under 20 minutes of continual use, the battery was drained which meant I needed an additional 5.2Ah battery to continue. The main purpose is to detail my car and I was halfway complete to ensure it was cleansed. Another fault would be the ergonomics of the swivel point; it may required grease or silicone spray to help it swivel more efficiently. Be prepared to spend more money on a 5.2Ah battery if you’re after a proper job done instead of quick finish. As for household use, it’ll be great ... I purchased it originally for the sole purpose of vacuuming the cars and the boat however that quickly changed when i read the review from nick saying to get the Wessel RD285 head for it. Just note that the Wessel head is a 32mm and you need an adapter for it to fit the 35mm tube on the Ozito. What an absolute game changer that is the original head is rubbish! and now i no longer have to fight the power cord for quick cleanups and when the whole house needs a vacuum. The 5.2AH battery can vacuum all 4 of my cars with 1 bar of battery left or it can vacuum the whole house on one fully charged 5.2AH battery. The suction is more than adequate on tiles, carpet and even around the garage. I'm very pleased with the performance and glad i picked one up.
Not enough power. My 2 battery Ozito tools are great, this 1 battery vacuum is too weak to be of use for anything really. The tube bottlenecks where it meets the unit and clogs easily. Outside it only took a leaf or two, inside it was hair. I’ve used a few vacuums in my time, this is one of the worst. Shame, the battery does give you freedom from cords. But I’m going to need to buy something else. I think having the extra power of 2 batteries would overcome the cheap tube and clogging issues.
Sadly the price has increased by 30% from $69 which is a disgrace. That aside, I bought it last year and generally it's a good vacuum cleaner, especially being cordless, it makes a huge difference. Besides that I found that I kept pulling it over on uneven surfaces, so I cut off the bottom part of an old swivel chair and glued the whole unit on it. Now it never tips and I can drag it anywhere. It's not going to replace a carpet vacuum cleaner, though, this is good for dust and small debris no bigger than 2 cm, otherwise it will get stuck.
If you're planning on buying a small and convenient cordless vacuum for quick jobs, you probably won't consider this, because it's full sized and you think you need a small one, but I'm telling you, this is just as convenient. I wanted to buy a cordless vacuum for my garage and almost bought one of those Dustbuster styled ones, until I saw this. Most people would probably think the convenience of a Dustbuster is how small it is, but after buying this one, I disagree, I think it all comes down to not having to plug in a power cord and having to pull it around. This vacuum is also significantly more powerful, has a huge capacity, will suck up anything.
I read the reviews on the bunnings site of this little 18v Ozito, hesitated because some reviews mentioned some head piece you need to buy to make it Vacuum better. Delayed Purchased this with the biggest battery and I couldn't believe I waited! I have carpet only in my rooms and this 18v Ozito vac does the job pretty great! there is a static build up at the standard head where dog hair attracted to but I saw that as a plus lol. There is a wet vac bag and a standard paper vac bag, it does the job well. I own a portable Dyson, battery is lame compared to this, im sick of charging it! Totally prefer this because if any wet issues in the house i can use it too. Also i don't need to go to the car wash to vac my car in a "race to beat the timer" when I drop a dollar ... Take my sweet time and do it right. the battery is great with time vs use, I did 3 carpeted rooms without running out of battery, still battery for use the next time.
Purchased this little cordless wet and dry vacuum cleaner specifically to suck up wood pellets from the bottom of the hopper of a pellet smoker. Suction is certainly adequate for the task. It's reasonably well made, clearly for the domestic, about the house, rather than for heavier duty, trade type use. However its light weight, small size has some significant advantages. At the very reasonable cost I plan to buy another one for carrying up a ladder to clean the muck off the top of our gutter foam, and generally for other 'up ladder' jobs. How long a battery charge lasts I haven't yet been able to test. If you already own Ozito compatible batteries it could be a very worthwhile buy.
surprising for a Battery Powered Vac. I did not say great, but it is good and close to some smaller powered vacs. only a few slight problems they never mention. 1 it uses Vacuum attachments slightly smaller only by over a millimeter, that normal vac attachments, so attachments for larger powered vac won't fit, so if you have a few, there can be an interchangeability issues, (just fall off. ( buy a White 'write on all surface pen' and label all attachments) 2. get about 15 -20 sucking minutes time, seriously, before the battery shuts down to overheating, and even they say Battery recharging can be up to 50 Mins. (a gross underestimate in my opinion) i found more like hour and a half... (actually upgraded my iMac M1 system while it was charging).. so buy a second ... Moresurprising for a Battery Powered Vac. (little circular moon notches on its top. are a joke. (get some PVC tubing of the right diameter, aprox 30-31mm) cut short lengths, 6 to 8 inches, and stick them in these spots, with hot melt glue. 4 wheels are useless.. save all the old wheels of office chairs or pinch them of old chairs put out on tip day, you wont regret replacing them, as this top-heavy turtle has a death wish, and when it turns turtle the ball inside blocks the motor suction and can cause serious problems. 5. could do with a Tap on the side. to let out water if using it as an aqua vac, as carrying this is not an option, nor is letting it turn turtle when full. see the wheel problem. great for clearing crumbs under the office desk, not for cleaning the house... but great for taking where it is had to tote a lot of power cords.
