Pac-Man Nano Tamagotchi - Black

I missed the tamogotchi craze of the 90s/00s. So when my daughter asked for one of the newer ones for xmas, I had no idea what I was in for. She's 6, and can do most actions on it on her own, with minimal help. Of course this prompted brother to also want one. So when I saw there were new themed ones offered, I thought, great! Pacman! He loves the arcade game! I was surprised to see how small it is. And like the original ones, this throwback is in simple black pixel. It doesn't offer as many activities as the new color ones, but being a throwback, this was expected. We've had...many eggs thus far, it isn't keeping his attention as well as the newer shiny, full color one big sis has. But, the novelty is cute and I can see some devoted fans buying this version for ... MoreI missed the tamogotchi craze of the 90s/00s. 8 and 10 year old love it

I’m an 80’s kid who had and loved my tamagotchi pet back in the 90’s. I was curious if my kids who are used to the high tech screens would even enjoy this. Well the answer is yes, they are getting a real kick out of having their own digital pet! My 8yo daughter and 10yo son are loving this and they take turns carrying it around and caring for it. The Pac-Man edition adds another fun element to having the pet, it can play with Pac-Man, eat some of the foods Pac-Man does and Pac-Man can defend the tamagotchi from ghosts. I will say that I feel like the size of the tamagotchi is smaller than it used to be and has been lost (and found) a couple of times already because it’s so tiny. My kids started attaching its chain to necklaces and other things to keep up with it. ... MoreI’m an 80’s kid who had and loved my tamagotchi pet back in the 90’s. Awesome for kids or collectors of nostalgia

This yellow Pac-man tomagotchi is such an adorable comeback of a nineties toy. It comes ready to play with battery included. It is made for ages eight and up, but ages five through seven would definitely enjoy and have fun playing with it also in my opinion. It is on a chain so you can carry it with you strapped to a backpack or purse or belt loop etc. In the game you take care of your tomagotchi and feed it rice or cherries and how well you take care of it will decide which of the seven adult characters you will get. The pac man ghosts will go after your character and pac man can come to the rescue. Two mini games in one. Perfect little gift for a child or for someone who had one of these in the nineties to reminisce. Would be great to add into an Easter basket! It is very small and the buttons are tiny but these kids have no trouble playing with it. The instructions seem a bit difficult to understand but playing with it and figuring it out as you go works if you didn’t have one of these from the past and had already had the gist of how to play with it. Cute toy for collectors of nostalgia, not only for the tomagotchi, popular toy in the nineties, but also for the infamous Pac-man, the most popular game of the eighties.

Loads of fun

I used to love playing with my Tamagotchi when I was a kid and I love that they brought them back into my kids’ lives. There are so many to choose from and my daughter decided on the Pac-Man one. The screen display is just as I remember it. Simple black and white design with the large pixels. The screen has great contrast and even has a clock so it can be used as a watch too. It is a simple design with the three buttons and easy for anyone to learn to use quickly. It comes with a great instruction guide to set it up and getting to taking care of your Tamagotchi. We feed it and play with it often. It keeps her interested in watching it. It is kind of like having a pet without spending extra money on supplies. It teaches her responsibility. It has cute games and even has ghosts and bugs appear on the screen. The device is a bright yellow color just like Pac-Man and is even covered in a few ghosts and pellets for added details. So much fun to play with and check up on a few times a day at least.

Nano Pacman

I received my Pacman Tamagotchi Nano - Yellow last week. The first issue are the directions for the Pacman Tamagotchi Nano - Yellow as the yare printed in so many languages that they are printed very small. Once I read the directions for the Pacman Tamagotchi Nano - Yellow several times I was able to set the time and start playing my Pacman Tamagotchi Nano - Yellow. The battery can be replaced in the Pacman Tamagotchi Nano - Yellow. The 3 red buttons that you use to play with are not labeled and are small. The Pacman Tamagotchi Nano - Yellow is rated for 8+ age group. I could see kids and some adults will like the Pacman Tamagotchi Nano - Yellow. I do recommend the Pacman Tamagotchi Nano - Yellow for those that like games like this.

Not a fan

I would not recommend this Tamagotchi based on two things. Number one the price is absolutely ridiculous and number two it doesn't even come with any kind of instructions directions or anything. It should at least tell you how to start, how to feed it and what the foods are. It should come with some kind of instructions that tell you if it's going to grow or what exactly is going on with this thing. I do like the fact that it has little bitty games that you can play other than feeding the Tamagotchi but the only reason I know anything about it is because I was once a kid years ago that had one of these things back then. Kids nowadays have no idea what's going on with these. Kids nowadays have no idea what's going on with these. I had to explain it to my son so that he knew what was going on and it's been long enough that I don't even remember everything. It is definitely not something I would have spent money on. I would have made my son earn the money himself by doing chores and then see how his tune changed when he had to spend his own hard-earned money to buy this toy. To be quite honest I don't think it's worth more than maybe $0.50 but definitely not $15 or more. Even if it's a classic. It should have at the very least come with some type of instructions. If I didn't tell my son that it was some type of electronic pet that had to be fed so it would grow he would have only thought it was to play games . I already had to take the battery out and reinstall it because it messed up and wouldn't act right. His had grown up a little bit but when I took the battery out it restarted the whole life process of the pet. Just my opinion but I would not recommend this product for the simple fact that it didn't come with any kind of directions or instructions.

Tamagotchi Tinsel

Tamagotchi brought back memories that made me nostalgic for my childhood and even more excited to try it out! The instructions were very easy to read and understand, and concise. I liked the simplicity of the three buttons, because they allowed me to get the hang of the game really fast. Caring for Tinsel, the name I gave my character, is fairly easy. You feed her, play games with her and keep the ghost from attacking her. Keep her happy and she ages up quickly. The time between aging is perfect because it gives you enough space to enjoy your character in the phase but also not too long where you’re getting impatient and bored with waiting for the next phase. Another thing I really enjoyed is how easy it is to reset the game. Another thing I really enjoyed is how easy it is to reset the game. I made a mistake with the time and had to reset the game and I did it in 5 seconds. The reset is also cool because you can replay until you get all the characters and experience all the ways you can grow your character. I played my character with the intent of keeping her happy and meeting all her needs perfectly. And with the reset, after she goes off to be on her own, I can start over and experience the gameplay with a different set of rules. This is a really great game for kids to help them learn responsibility in a fun way but also just to enjoy and pass time. Great functionality. The one negative I do have is that the screen is really dark and in even slightly dimmed rooms it’s hard to see the screen. I have to shine my phone light on it sometimes to see. Overall a fun and engaging experience!

Very small screen, kind of boring

My two older children are six and almost nine. they got this out of the package and we're really excited about it. However, the game is just not very fun. I think with all of the new technology that has been invented since the original tamagotchi pet came out as made kids these days not as excited for the old technology. they weren't very thrilled with the pixels of the screen and the size of the screen as well. The screen is extremely small. The screen itself is approximately one half of an inch and it's really hard to see. They did figure out all the buttons that they needed to push and win to push them so younger kids could easily figure this out, but it's pretty boring. It works just as described and as a fun color and a fun retro game, it may be better for an ... MoreMy two older children are six and almost nine. they got this out of the package and we're really excited about it. Overall I'm not sure I would recommend spending money on this product.

What a flashback to my childhood

I remember being a child in the 90's and having a whole collection of Tamagotchi/Gigapets. When I first saw the pac-man version, I knew I needed to get one for my ten year old daughter. She was SO excited to get the package in the mail and was immediately trying to evolve her new little blob. Just 24-hours later she had a giga-bunny and was completely obsessed with all things Tamagotchi.I couldn't help but laugh and wonder if this was my parents saw all those years ago when I was just a little girl. The battery life seems to be great. My daughter has played with her little pet every single day multiple times a day for the last two weeks and it seems to still be going strong.I will be checking online to see f I can find other themed pets for her Easter basket ... MoreI remember being a child in the 90's and having a whole collection of Tamagotchi/Gigapets.
