Pacifica Clean Shot Granactive Retinoid 5 Percent in Seawater For Unisex 0.8 oz Serum

Pacifica is one of my facortie brands; not only do they make clean, vegan and cruelty-free products but they create affordable products. I think they use top tier ingredients and science to make the most effective products. I cant even chose favorites with this brand because i love so many of their products. This is my pick for a gentle , effective and affordable retinol. This is a granactive retinol which is proven to be more effective and gentle than regular retinol. This doesn't make my skin dry or sensitive. I want to mention this does have the scent of jasmine but its subtle i mostly smell the retinol when i sniff it. I recommend this for all skin types even sensitive skin babes. I love this and use it nightly.

A fantastic Retinoid~ For sensitive skin

I bought this about two months ago, and thrilled with the results. I have sensitive skin along with Rosacea. It’s hard to find products that don’t make it worse. I was a little hesitant because of the Retinoid, worried it would burn and make the reddening worse, but decided to give it a try. OMG I’m so glad I did!! First thing I noticed…it actually helped with the redness of my Rosacea, taking it almost completely away. (A complete shocker) Second, I noticed how the fine lines were disappearing, and thirdly…my skin was so soft and smooth. Apply when your skin is still a little damp, it will become tacky until it’s completely dry. I then follow up with my moisturizer. Ordering my second bottle, and for me…one dropper (if that) is all I need for my entire face.

Gentle retinoid

I have normal to sensitive skin and my main skin concerns are fine lines and loss of elasticity. My product selections are typically higher end but within the last year or so my skin has become overly sensitive to anti-aging products and some of the Kate Somerville and Elemis serums and moisturizers I was using became too harsh for me. I had been using The Ordinary 5% Granactive retinoid in squalene, but recently the product was discontinued which was disappointing because the granactive formulation is wayyy more tolerable. I did a search for the component and was fortunate to find this product from Pacifica. After using it the past few days, I am pleased with the results. I let it sit on my skin for a few minutes and then use The Ordinary squalene on top and found this combination works great for me - my skin looks smooth and has a nice glow while feeling well moisturized without any sensitivity.

Great product

Bought this on a whim when I needed a new retinoid. I use it every other night before bed before moisturizing. It makes my skin sooooo soft it's insane. It was a little drying when I first started but was resolved over time. It does have a scent to it which I don't mind but some may be bothered by it. I do have very oily and acne prone skin and haven't had any breakouts. The only reason I give this 4 stars is because of the packaging. The consistency of this retinoid is like a creamy gel, making the dropper applicator messy and not efficient. I think it would be better if they changed it to a regular squirt bottle. Regardless, for this price I'd definitely recommend.

Just -- Yes.

This stuff is so powerful. It does what the heck it says. Lol. When I use it at night under the Dreamy Youth or Vegan Ceramide moisturizing creams, I wake up with baby skin. No joke. I'm plump, I'm clear, I'm radiant, I'm glowing. It's just... such an amazing product. I am a Pacifica hype woman and I tell everyone how incredible this brand is. Not only is it effective and affordable -- it's good for the planet and animals! Like...hello? What more do you want. <3

No noticeable change

Unfortunately these are too mild for me and I do not notice any difference in skin texture, brightness or anything really. I’ve used this and the 3% for two months. I did purchase the wake-up beautiful one and hopefully that one works better. I would say this is good for people with truly sensitive skin and beginners. Side note this was my first time purchasing a retinoid/retinol and I guess I need something stronger. My skin is oily combo.

That's the other thing, it's gentle, causes me no irritations and I love that. It doesn't smell very strong, just a small faint smell and I don't mind that at all. I love using the little dropper too lol. Sooo, I'm not sure if this is really doing much for me yet, I've had this for a while like a year now and just now decided to use it like 3 weeks ago.. I mean I used it here and there before but not even close to enough to see results. I will post a 5 star review in a month or two if I start to see something, 3 months tops. PLEASE NEVER STOP MAKING THIS

This serum is seriously amazing. Within the first few days of using it, my skin was already looking clearer and brighter. It's been several weeks now, and most of my breakouts and whiteheads are gone. My skin just looks like it has extra "oomph". I've never gotten this kind of results with other retinols/retinoids. AND with ZERO redness or irritation.That being said, I have two small complaints, and they're both with the packaging. First of all, the dropper - this serum is thick and almost a stringy texture, so the dropper really struggles with picking it up, and it's kind of gross to handle if you're not careful. This is a competitor for the Ordinary 5% Granactive Retinoid but it's so hard to get a hold of so I gave this one a shot (no pun intended.) The most noticeable thing about this product is that when I first open a new bottle and fill the dropper the glass does not fill completely, barely even halfway. I can't tell if this is because the bottle isn't filled completely or it's just the thicker viscosity of the liquid, because it is a creamy formula. It absorbs differently than the Ordinary which uses squalene. Personally I have found with the Ordinary if you press their product into the skin and seal with a fast absorbing moisturizer you can quickly absorb the product. I've been going through an especially difficult time with my skin and trying to give this product a fair try but last night I decided to take a bit from my reserve of the Ordinary Retinoid and add it to my routine and noticed an immediate difference overnight as opposed to the last month of using this product where I noticed extremely slow change. pure feelings of slow consistency

this item is fancy looking in its hlass bittle. Although it is gentle, the color and texture looks gross, but glides on and works its gentle magic. it feels sticky after application, and once it absorbs in the skin, it makes me slightly glow. day 2 makes me glow better. it doesnt smooth skin tho to a soft feeling. to me thats important. its to be used with a moisturizer for sure for best results. overall gentle for maintenance but not for strong enough to initiate targeted skin care. i would recommend still.
