I have had the bag versions for about four years. Ordered them when Packit only offered bags. I have had two my boys take to school and one I use for day outings. Just Get it. I can send milk!! I can send our Alaska caught and jarred salmon... Basically made up like tuna fish with Mayo. It is their most favorite lunch item with crackers and I don't have to worry about it spoiling. I can put a warm drink it in and it will get cold after an hour or more. I'm excited to see more from Packit. My youngest started taking his to daycare and is now in 1st. Which leads me to my own negative. He wants the traditional lunch box, which I can't blame him because I want one too. But I wish that Packit would have color options that don't include Camo. Also, the patterns are cute but what if we just want block colors. Like, red is his favorite color, green is my other sons favorite. Purple is a favorite. I wish we had options that were more gender neutral. Pink doesn't mean girl. Purple doesn't mean girl. Dark colors don't need to be in camo. I hope to see more gender neutral options especially since I don't even know my daughter's favorite yet as she just turned 1 and will be using one when the time comes.

My kids have been carrying a PackIt for years, because I know it will keep food cold. I love the lunch box but the plastic clip always breaks within the first month, and then the strap just hangs there all school year. Either remove this feature or make it more sturdy. If it did not break, I would give the lunch box five stars. I have emailed the company about this before but never hear back.

I like having a rectangular and deep area to fill with lunch containers. The side zipper also keeps a napkin clean! Downside: we purchased this for our kiddo's Rover PlanetBox and although the measurements online seem like it would have fit, it *does not* so it's now my own lunchbox for work. There's no return policy through the PackIt website, unfortunately. Next time we'll buy in person versus directly.

This is our second packit freezable lunch bag, I got this for next year while on sale. The one we have now has been amazing during the summer time as my sons lunch stays in his bag outside, and even after school his yumbox tapas is cool to touch. After every school day I give a quick wipe out and pop back into the freezer for the next day. The one we are currently using is well worn and the lining is starting to split, but it gets used every school day. And it will become a spare one for park/car trips on weekends once he gets the new one for next year. They are great and I do recommend these.
I bought packit in the past and decided to get another. They stay nice and cold which is my number one priority with my kiddo’s lunch. However I do wish they were slightly wider to fit bento boxes a little bit better. I feel like I can only pack one thing in it at a time and I’d prefer more room for notes, extra snacks, silverware. I use the zipper pocket to put an extra cool pack in so leaves a little bit to be desired in terms of space. That being said- still my favorite lunch box on the market.
This lunch box is very heavy. Also, because it can be collapsed to fit in the freezer, my daughter had trouble getting her bento box into it. I measured the bento box we use (the stainless steel bentgo) and while it does technically fit, it only just barely fits. We decided to send it back because although we were excited by the prospect of having a truly chilled lunch, it just did not work for our bento box. Maybe it would have worked if I ordered a larger lunch bag, but my kids are in elementary school and don’t want to carry a giant heavy tote.
We've had two of these for a few years now. Used for elementary school and adult lunches. Is great at cooking. Two things we would change is add the mesh drink holder and make the inside a dark color. The white inside stains over time, especially with tomato sauce. We are replacing our boxes not because they no longer function, but because they look gross on the inside. A darker inside could help hide the stains.
We have many lunch box options at our house but this is quickly becoming our favorite. My child likes to take yogurt and dairy based products to school but I am always concerned about the holding temperature after a few hours in a school locker. We traditionally use ice packs but this new lunch box is the perfect new alternative. My child really likes the style and said it is much lighter in her backpack than the ice pack options we usually use. I will definitely be buying another one of these for my wife. Highly recommended!
Packit is revolutionizing the school lunch experience. Gone are the days when I use ice packs to regulate lunchbox temperatures with questionable results. This brilliant innovation has the ice built into the walls of the lunchbox resulting in a more even, effective and long lasting cooling process. Personally that means one less step in my lunch preparation and fewer items to keep track of. You just flatten to freeze and expand to fill. The former is ideal as it reduces the amount of freezer space required while the latter is aided by a large opening for easy access when filling. The interior is sizable and can likely accommodate the vast majority of lunch boxes. My favorite features are the astronaut print, ease of cleaning, front pocket to keep napkins on hand ... MorePackit is revolutionizing the school lunch experience. Most importantly, it provides peace of mind knowing that the food inside will maintain its freshness.
This box is awesome and so seriously adorabe! Its got a perfect size insde and it stays cold for 8+ hours! The asteonaut pattern is adorable! The handle is perfect and the ziper pouch on the front is handy for siverware and napkins.this may be out of the box but I breed snakes and I only get out of my home once day every two weeks and this box is perfect for bringing snake and gecko food home.
