Pacsafe Vibe 100 Anti-theft Hip Pack - Jet Black
The Vibe 100 anti-theft hip pack from Pac safe has six anti-theft features built in, providing peace of mind and helping you move securely. The bag's fabric is embedded with a lightweight flexible, stainless steel wire mesh that protects your gear from a quick cut-and-run theft. Flexible, lightweight Stainless steel wire also runs through the adjustable waist strap to help prevent thieves from slicing through and running off with your gear. The bag Includes a lockable security clip on the waist strap, as well as zippers that interlock and can be secured to the bag's locking system, which locks down the all zippers in one place, helping prevent pickpockets. The zippered main compartment includes an RFID blocking pocket that prevents your data (such as from e-passports, credit cards, and key cards) from falling into the wrong hands, and a separate front pocket for organization. With a wealth of organizational options, two zippered pockets, and a padded iPad mini/7-inch tablet compatible sleeve, The spacious and comfortable Vibe 100 is ideal for carrying everyday necessities on adventures abroad or around town. The Vibe 100 weighs 11.5 ounces, and has a volume of 4 liters. Pac safe is all about secure mobility. With a wide range of stylish adventure backpacks, everyday bags, women's bags, camera bags, luggage, and travel accessories, Pac safe lets you unpack the stress of protecting your gear, and instead, pack peace of mind.

I’ve been using this bag for a year now and it’s really great. Roobar easy to use and my items are safe while riding the subway. Can fit a kindle, reusable shopping bag, umbrella, 500ml water bottle, phone, transit pass and wallet. I would have given it 5 stars if it had another zippered pocket in the back. That would be one feature that would have made this bag perfect.

I gave this pack a five-month road test around Central America and Mexico. It's sturdy, well-made, versatile and secure, there are definite advantages, but it's just a bit too big and bulky for what it's purporting to be. Let me explain. At the time of purchase Pacsafe hadn't added photos of the pack on a human, so I didn't really. have a good idea of the size, until I got it. I bought the Vibe 150 to try both out and that was even bigger, of course, so I kept the 100. Anyway, I absolutely love camo print and wanted to try it out.As others have said it's big, in fact it's huge. In terms of how much you can get in it, it's more like a small shoulder bag, than a bum bag/sling bag which was what I thought it was. In terms of how much you can get in it, it's more like a small shoulder bag, than a bum bag/sling bag which was what I thought it was. The advantage is you can sneak a lot more stuff as part of your carry on items on a plane, but you also feel very obvious doing so and I was constantly amazed I got away with it. I also loved it for long bus journeys because I could literally put all my electronics bar my laptop in there and have it across my body or around my waist for the journey, and they were both secure and easy to access - a bonus if the transport you're in is full. Alternatively you can get a book, glasses, sunglasses, wallet, headphones... all sorts in there. I loved the front pocket for my phone - easy to access but also more secure than other packs. The zip click things are awesome.Another good thing about it is strap is really long and wide. This means it not only fits around the hip of a bigger person like me, but can also be worn as a sling bag in the front, on your back, across your body but hanging low at the hips, or over your shoulder like a shoulder bag. It's really sturdy with fairly rigid material and really nice padded back, so you can wear it on your hip too and it both stayed place and was comfortable while dancing. Given that you can fit a small water bottle in here too, this makes it a good option for hikes or less than crowded festivals or club nights. But the downside of its size was that during all these activities it felt just a bit too much. It sticks out too much on your hip, so that's not great in crowded events when you might want to dance - exactly when I want a secure pack for my valuables, on the front I felt at times like I was having an electronics baby, and again, in crowds it was a problem. It is so roomy that it is very hard to avoid filling it up, and then it gets too heavy, and anyway, because of the quality material, it will still stick out quite a bit when it's not full. The main inside section is too large, and things easily get lost in there. I found myself forever digging about in my pack, in marked contrast to my peers who had tiny bum bags, and easily found what they needed.Crucially, because it is so big, and looks expensive, and sticks out quite a lot from your body, I felt that it drew attention to itself, which you don't really want when you're travelling. Even if it were the same length and breath but half as deep that would make a huge difference, and you could still fit your kindle in there. On the plus side, with this you have a combination bum bag and day bag, it can be used for both, which for some will be invaluable, but I was unable to replace my fraying old cross-body bag I use when out and about in cities, because that, unlike this pack, doesn't scream "tourist".Personally I'd really love it if Pacsafe did a bag 2/3 or 1/2 the size of this with the same security features and a few more internal pockets. I've looked and I don't think they do one. Then it would be perfect, especially if it came in camo print. :-)

Purchased this pack in the fall of 2018. For the first 4 years I was pleased with the pack but since then zipper issues have developed. The pulls have broken off and the zipper is very difficult to open and close. I have tried WD40 to rectify but results are marginal. It is come to the point now that the pack is marginal and I will have to replace because of the poor quality of the zipper and pulls. I have notified PacSafe about the zipper but they have not responded.

Initially, I thought this waist pouch was going to be too big, but it turns out to be a great size for me. It can be pretty flat if I don't put much in it, but has enough capacity to carry a surprising amount. I fit an iPad mini, a big wallet, big phone, reading glasses in a hard case, a couple pens + a pad, keys, and a few other small items, all at the same time. (Although with that much stuff, it gets pretty big.)The new belt buckle design is awesome! It is a huge improvement over their previous, clunkier iterations. The new design is very polished and subtle. If you know how to undo it, it is quite simple to use. If I didn't know, I would not even think it was the buckle. I would not think to undo the belt there. There are two things I would change:1.) Make the the zipper pulls + anchor black. I like the waist pouch to be as invisible as possible - putting big flashy silver hardware on it is like the opposite of that.2.) Bring back the classic Pacsafe turtle logo. I really don't like carrying gear with giant PACSAFE writing. It seems to be issuing a challenge, or to imply I am carrying treasure.Overall, I still give this pouch five stars, and recommend it for anybody looking for a waist pouch.BTW - I'm not sure what "hidden pocket" the other reviewer was talking about. I never found any hidden pockets on this product.
My first Pacsafe was a Stash Safe 100GII. It was great, 5 star. Then I upgraded to Vibe 100 to get more room and that was just what i needed. I have now been using it for years. Pacsafe has changed the belt from the old to the new Vibe 100 and in my opinion not to the better. The problem I have, is that it won't stay in the position where it fit me...it keeps getting loose and then I have to tighten it. That is really anoing since I'm using it every day. I'm not a big person and the end of the belt is going all around my waist where it's in the way. I didn't have all these problem with my old one. Even though, i'm considering bying the brown Vibe 100 because I really like it.
My fanny told me it needed a PACK //For the junk that I carry a pack I did LACK //So I told all my TRIBE that I'd buy this fine VIBE //And all of them cut me some SLACK!OK, if you want great rhymes, you've come to the wrong place. But if you want a great review, sit back and enjoy. I had a much earlier PacSafe bag which was a tad smaller but much heavier. I needed something bigger because all my stuff didn't fit anymore. This bag is wonderful. I did not buy it for the security reasons, but because of size and weight. Perfect size for my needs - big, but not overly so. In fact you can squeeze in a 0.5L water bottle if you want, but it folds quite flat so it is not like you are walking around like a mama Kangaroo with a little Joey in your pouch.Very well ... MoreMy fanny told me it needed a PACK //For the junk that I carry a pack I did LACK //So I told all my TRIBE that I'd buy this fine VIBE //And all of them cut me some SLACK!OK, if you want great rhymes, you've come to the wrong place. Oh, the zippers! Smoother than a baby's butt sliding over a freshly Zamboni'd ice skating rink.It has a little RFID protection pouch inside, which sadly is just a tad smaller than a passport. What it could you are a few (1-2, not too many) additional inside pockets so that loose change or parking tickets don't slosh around.I am very, very happy with this bag!
As a professional photographer from Texas now living in Netherlands I needed something to carry my sightseeing walkaround gear along with passports, money, and this and thats. Ive bought traditional "fanny packs" that were limited in space so i would up either not carrying my gear or putting everything iun a messenger type bag and I was carrying more than i needed to . Then I found the Vibe 100. First of all the waist strap is jus tthe right width and thickness and feels very sturdy. Guys I am a 5'10 with a 34 waist and it fits comfortably. The back of the Vibe 100 is taller with a nice thick soft yet sturdy material that is not noticeable against your body. The main compartment is big but not too big. The back of the Vibe 100 is taller with a nice thick soft yet sturdy material that is not noticeable against your body. The main compartment is big but not too big. Theres a divider inside the main compartment and a pocket for business cards. Wish tht was a bit bigger but its just perfect for my business cards. I can fit my passport wallet thats about 1/2 inch thick with credit cards and ids, passport and still have room to put a pen and pocket light. the rest of the main pocket is whart sold me because for me I am now able to carry two walk around cameras and as a photographer that is very important for me. The front pocket is also a good size for my portable usb charger, cords, and field notes. With carrying all my walk around gear, theres still enough froom for small things like mints or tissues or hand wipes. the zippers are straight from fort knox. The main compartment zippers can lock to themselves if need be and you can add a lock to those if needed or you can lock them along with the front zipper that is also lockable. And the buckle, that s not going anywhere as you have to twist this small dial to unlock or lock and also you can add a lock to that if needed. Again Ive spent money on messenger bags, other fanny packs, and found everything I needed in this Vibe 100. What i love is how I can stuff it with everything I find important and needed and it sticks out about 4 inches. What i dont like, and its a personal preference, is how the inside small pocket is just a pocket. Enough for a few credit cards and thats it. I wouldve loved for it to be more of an admin type pocket. All in all im very happy with my purchase .
This is my first Pacsafe item and I'm very impressed. The bag seems sturdy with nice thick fabric and stitching. I love that it's made of recycled plastic too. The zippers pulls are metal and have a nice size. Great design with the way they lock together. It takes a little bit to get used to, but I really appreciate this security feature. The RF blocking, embedded mesh, and embedded strap wires and twist lock are also great touches and much appreciated. The size is perfect for me. Spacious enough to hold my ILC camera with a 3" long zoom lens, as well as my portable audio player, earbuds, phone, passports, and room to spare. Yet it is not obtrusive and easy to put on and take off. I'm looking forward to my upcoming travels with this new bag in tow!
For a small bag it packs a big punch. I’d booked to go away for a city break renowned for the odd pick pocket or two. So I was keen to choose a product that would keep my belongings safe but still give me the freedom of movement. The vibe 100 doesn’t disappoint. Not once during my trip did I feel at risk and with it closely strapped to me I’m sure any prospective thieves could see the impressive zip locks and thought better of it. The vibe itself is a great size and fits a lot in, which is a welcome surprise. At one point I had travel guides, sunglasses, suntan lotion, my passport, wet wipes, hand sanitiser and my wallet all safely tucked away. It’s light and easy to pack away should you need too. Well made, strong and durable. What more could you ask for!!! Well ... MoreFor a small bag it packs a big punch. I’d booked to go away for a city break renowned for the odd pick pocket or two. Bought for something to carry essentials around in, when nipping out - phone, house keys, license, bankcard. Can keep all those things on me - don't have to leave them in the car.I wear the pack, around the waist, loosely so I can spin it to front, back, or side - front when driving, at back for walking around town when I may have to squeeze past things, people, or through doors. The locking systems let me know, once engaged, they will take somebody some noticeable fidgeting to release the zippers and there is also the provision for putting a small padlock on the Roobar lock and the PopNLock buckle, for extra security. Will probably buy some padlocks for it, at some stage, to increase its security and versatility. Worth every penny.
