Paiste Signature Dark Energy Ride MK II 20"

The initial set of cymbals to populate the New Signature Series are designated Dark Energy.? A fusion of the characteristics of Signature and Traditionals, Dark Energy cymbals combine depth, darkness, total musicality and complex harmonics with brilliance, richness and projection. With the Mark I and Mark II variations, Paiste is able to define subtle sonic differences, giving themselves another release from commonality and thus freedom to explore cymbal sounds wherever it may lead them. A fusion of darkness, energy, projection and brilliance. Very wide range, complex, musical mix. Responsive feel, extremely controllable. Woody, silvery, spanky ping over crunchy, thriving wash. Extremely versatile, flexible ride for wide ranging application in modern blended music styles. Tends to be a bit livelier and brighter. This manifests itself in the overall sound character and in particular in the bell and ping sound. Mark II also has a bit more volume potential due to its more open character. Stick sound is pronounced and crisp.
