Pros: large illuminated key pads .Cons: complicated menue functions too many procedures to change settings.Should be able to hear the pre-recorded greeting message while screening calls, there is silence until the caller speaks, although the callers number and name is showing and announced. we could hear the greeting with our previous cordless phone which is handy to judge when the caller is going to speak, some greetings can be different length and we found being able to hear it a good function. Also when messages are deleted from base unit they still need deleting from handsets which is time consuming repeating the procedures. why do the phones have dial pads on both base and handsets -seems unnecessary .

Good optons, easy to use.

I have been using this phone for 3 weeks.Using Bluetooth to transfer contacts from mobile is easy. Using handset for home line and mobile alows mobile to stay on charge while at home. Nonspeaker loudnes is a little low for me. Speaker loudness is good enough. I wish it had 24 hours clock. 12 hours and am, pm is not professional and error prone.Good to have the option of using just the base to make speaker calls.AAA ordinary batteres work in handsets in case of urgent need.More different ring tones would be approciated.Loud notificarions of incoming calls number is very handy.Handsets give notice of sms arrivig but it can only be read from mobile.Still very solid performance phone.

Great phone - only one possible con.

Panasonic KXTG7892AZS Twin Pack Cordless Phone - great little buy. Easy to set up and use. The only down side would be volume. I wish I could make it a little louder. I'm not sure my review is a reflection of the phone's capability or a deterioration of my hearing. I don't regret the buy.

Great product and value for money
28 April 2020

I am very happy with this phone and would definitely recommend. The only area that I wish the phone performed better was the 'link to cell' function. I have found that the sound is a little distorted when using the handset to answer a mobile phone call. But I love that my mobile can be down the other end of the house and when it rings my kitchen cordless Panasonic handset rings and lets me know who is calling; love this feature!

It does what it is supposed to

Great product. Well made and feels solid and the buttons feel "good".It does exactly what its supposed and has a lot of nice little extra features if you choose to use them. Just about everything is fully configurable eg the number of times the phone rings before the answerphone kicks in, the screen brightness and contrast on the handsets and the volume, ringtones. You will definitely need to read the manual to do the more complex configuration.I bought this for my elderly parents who needed to move away from the landline completely so I can only comment on the Link-to-Cell features (which uses a mobile SIM minutes) not the landline stuff but it is easy to set up the basic functions and it works first time. Because the base station is actually a fully functioning unit it is almost like there are 3 "handsets" to use. Little things like the calling number being displayed (and spoken out loud too by default) and the way the lights are dark until you pick up the handset from the base unit then they light up and ALL 3 units ( 2 x handsets and the base unit) all ring for an incoming call make it nice to use. There are loads of secondary features like answerphone and intercom and a comprehensive address book with groups etc but you can just ignore all of that and/or turn them off as required. The most important feature for my parents was that it was loud when talking on a call. Answering a call "normally" is fine for regular people but for those with a hearing problems you need to answer in "speakerphone" mode which is really loud especially if you turn the volume right up. The good thing is that "speakerphone mode" is turned on by a yellow button and so is really easy to see. Also to make a call in speakerphone mode you press the numbers as normal and then press the yellow button to actually place the call so its easy for my parents - they just push the yellow button for everything they need which is simple. The bluetooth connection is strong and works well. I was really pleased we were able to ditch the landline entirely and they even use the wireless hotspot on their mobile handset (nothing to do with this product) for their internet.

NOT for Home Usage!!
3 June 2018

I brought this for my parents as their old phone needed a upgrade and the phone was no longer holding charge for any calls over 15 minutes.I looked about and decided this was the best one for them, the USB charging and bluetooth would be perfect for my dad and his two mobile phones (one private, one work) and a phone that didn't lose charge over an hour, was all my mum wanted.Sadly this phone has turned into a nightmare for them.My parents house isn't overly big and they spend more time outside then in, even at night. So when THIS phone rings it only rings about 5 times before the answering machine kicks in, while the old one was double that, which was perfect for when Mum was out the back hanging the wash out or Dad down the back in the shed. The ringer is ... MoreI brought this for my parents as their old phone needed a upgrade and the phone was no longer holding charge for any calls over 15 minutes.I looked about and decided this was the best one for them, the USB charging and bluetooth would be perfect for my dad and his two mobile phones (one private, one work) and a phone that didn't lose charge over an hour, was all my mum wanted.Sadly this phone has turned into a nightmare for them.My parents house isn't overly big and they spend more time outside then in, even at night. So when THIS phone rings it only rings about 5 times before the answering machine kicks in, while the old one was double that, which was perfect for when Mum was out the back hanging the wash out or Dad down the back in the shed. The ringer is too quiet, even when on full volume. My parents miss calls all the time now because they that cannot hear the phone before the answering machine kicks in.The phone sits in the corner by the backdoor, even with the backdoor open its hard to hear it...Same goes for the ear piece as well. You have to listen very closely to hear the person on the other end. Both my parents are in their mid 50's and while my mum does have a small hearing issue, they both normally have to move to another room or tell everyone to be quiet when they pick up the phone just to hear the person on the other end.My Mum hates the answering machine most of all. Her old phone would beep when there was an unheard message until it was played, this one just flashes (which isn't even bright!). My Mum doesn't notice the faint flash until she has to walk pass the phone a little while later to get her reading glasses.Everything else is great on it and would be PERFECT for a small and quiet office, but as far as home usage goes, it's a major thumbs down and a waste of money!!

Poor quality ear speaker and very quiet ringtone even on loud setting
7 May 2020

Panasonic phone expected a lot from this phone given many rate them the best in the market. This phones weakness for me is the sound and volume out of the ear speaker is tinny and low even when you put the volume on full. The hand free speaker is better. The other weakness is the ring tone is not loud even in the highest setting and there are limited ringtones you cant add more. The Bluetooth feature works well so you can use your mobile to make calls once again the ear speaker on the handset lets it down much clearer using you mobile directly

STEPHEN's review of Cordless Phone Twin Pack

Pros: The bluetooth connection to a mobile phone is great. We live in a poor reception area for mobiles, we have a small spot with good reception so the mobile gets parked there and the bluetooth connection allows us to use the mobile phone anywhere in the home, via the Panasonic home phone.Cons: The bluetooth reception can be rather scratchy at times. (the mobile is right next to the base station, it is not a distance issue.)My previous home phone was a very similar Panasonic, it had a much bigger screen which I miss. (But no bluetooth, hence the upgrade.)

The best phone system ever purchased
30 August 2019

Panasonic KXTG7892AZS I recently bought 2 sets of these so i have 4 handsets. all compatable easily added to 1 system. speaker phone hands free is great! the sound is clear. The other function's like when a call comes through if you have numbers stored with names you can program the phone to announce the name of caller stored in phone. the battery life is VG it has a great Alarm clock that i use.and so many advanced ring tones'' it will take up to 6 handsets Soon i will be buying a 3rd set so i can add 2 more handsets so i have the maximum of 6 handsets in use'' The best thing it has a power back up function so i am not cut off during a blackout. This is the best phone set ever. i always stick with Panasonic a name i trust! i love it!!

Pros: Our previous Panasonic two phone combo died after many years of good service so we went for another Panasonic 2 phone combo. This one has the feature where you can link your mobile to the phone system. Have not bothered. The complex instructions did not help.A nice feature is the "voice" announcing who is calling. You don't have to get up to decide not to answer. Would I but another one? In a very limited market, yes.Cons: There could be more volume available. There is a very comprehensive manual included ( good point) but some of the instructions are complex and complicated ( bad point). My guess is that the instructions were not road tested by someone other than the developers.
