We have been using three of these in our house for over three years now, but needed another one for the shed bathroom that we are building. Standard fans are loud to the point that the family kept turning them off all the time. These Panasonic ones are 1) silent and 2) come with a motion sensor and a delayed auto shut off. We just leave them all all the time and they do their thing.

The fan works okay but requires a talented electrician to install unless you have good access from above. It’s not possible to connect the duct into the unit until AFTER it’s been installed in the ceiling, so really not suitable for apartments. Annoyingly doesn’t come with an electric connection either

This is an early review so I can only provide my first impressions.I bought the sensor model of this ventilating fan (FV-24JR3) online in early May and had it fitted in our ensuite bathroom three weeks later. I needed a ventilating fan because of the confined space of both the walk-in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom, which are right next to each other.It’s quite an impressive fan. Although it is not that powerful, the beauty of it is that it stays on 24/7. So that would be great for helping to mitigate the spread of mould.With the sensor, there is no need to use the light switch. When you enter the bathroom, the sensor activates the variable speed fan to a faster speed of 120m3/h or 160m3/h air volume. They are extremely common in America where continuous ventilation is required in many states. They're quiet enough and energy-efficient enough that they can run 24/7 and you won't even notice it. So far so good however the LED sensor light is bright green each time it switches on so a little bit jarring when you want the exhaust to be discreet. Delivery was a little slow but the price was the best I could find.
Having gone through specs for numerous fans to find one that was quiet and that I could run 24hrs a day, I finally chose the Panasonic. A great choice - quieter than I imagined (you keep checking to see if it is actually working) on the slow setting and offers the ability (with sensor model) to automatically increase and decrease fan speed. Installation was relatively simple and it looks good.
This product is great as it uses DC power & you can manually adjust how long the run off timer goes for & the fan speed it's supposed to run at on the background.The lighting outlet is also very efficient with the delivery.
This exhaust fan is fantastic, so very quiet the sensor is great. Strong suction, no steam on the mirror after showering. We have just renovated our second bathroom and trialled this in our first bathroom so it was a easy decision to go with this exhaust fan in our second bathroom.Great product
