It also takes an additional DMW-BLK22 rechargeable lithium-ion battery for longer shooting times. The DMW-BGS5 grip incorporates a secondary shutter release button as well as an Fn function button, joystick, and AF-ON button reproducing the S5's layout for the best, intuitive handling. The grip is solid and is great for photographers when a seamless use of the camera is required in vertical format. This is my second Panasonic Lumix grip, my first was for the S1R & S1. They are just the job.
