Panasonic DP-UB150 4K Ultra HD HDR Blu-ray Player

I’m Disappointed-I expected better. If you pause it to go get a drink it turns itself off. It refuses to play some DVDs and keeps switching off, so you have to put in a DVD or blue ray that it’s happier to play for a couple of minutes, then remove that, insert the DVD you want to play and it will work but don’t tempt fate by pausing it. I didn’t want to buy a Panasonic but there were no Sony’s to be bought so I’m just having to put up with this. Also the remote is so small with tiny buttons all close together so it’s easy to press the wrong button. Also the eject button doesn’t want to work on both the blu ray and the remote. Having to press 6 times to get it to respond.

A good lower-priced 4K Blu-ray player, reg 4 ONLY

I bought this player rather hurriedly, after purchasing a 4K TV on special and a few 4K Blu-ray dics to check it out. It looks great, Panasonic, can’t go wrong… Except I did. After giving my all-regions blu-ray player to a mate I soon discovered my error… I didn’t even check before purchase to see if the player will play ALL regions of DVDs and Blu-rays. It WON’T. And I have several discs luckily I SKSI had an all-regions player in the bedroom, so it’s the Oanasonic for the 4K (I will only by region 4 of these) and the other player for the international discs!

Awesome upscaller

This is a awesome budget player. The upscale works like a charm. Even old standard DVD disks play in 4k. Great player for someone who still have an old collection of DVDs and would like to watch in watchable quality.not only watch able. But better. It felt like watching an old classic movie at the cinema in premium quality. And it only was a DVD but played on the Panasonic 4k player. Amazing. And standard blue ray works in 4k. I check with my tv stat's info. To se if it's playing in 4k why playing videos and movies on Panasonic 4k player. It's definitely working.

Basic but Adequate

Does the job adequately for an entry level price 4K player but honestly, the player looks cheap as it comes in a basic no frills matt plastic box with no detailing to make it more attractive when sitting on full view in your TV unit.

Good solid performer.

Really easy to set up and use. Great quality picture. A little noisier drawer action than higher spec machines so 4 stars. Solid performer.

Great product at very reasonable price

Compact but high quality DVD player. Produces 4K output either directly through TV or for better sound then through a goo surround sound system.

Panasonic dp-150

I purchased this machine last week and so far so good. Although it looks very basic and not that fancy but it seems to be very good. Ultra high definition player , and very user friendly. I am not sure if it's a 3d player however due to 3d blu ray players and movies had only been a big deal when it was all 1st released but it's always a bonus I guess , if it has it. However, no big deal if it doesn't. I think it supports Dolby atmos and Dts x . Not 100% sure , as I havn't had the opportunity to try a movie just yet with that. But it's a nice compact little unit.

Play all discs

Wanted a player that could play all discs. DVD Blu Ray 4k Blu Ray. Previously had Panasonic players, so this fit in right away. Value for money.

Sufficient features, entry level price

I bought one last week. I found it produced snow on screen and couldn't recognize my 4K projector. HN kindly replaced it for me. Finally I found it's my mistake. I've got an old HDMI cable and that's the problem. It needs HDMI 2.0 and above cable to transfer 4K signals. When selecting a HDMI cable, check the version, or named premium high speed.

When is a 4K player not a 4K player

Despite it being designed for this purpose, the player did not play 4k UHD. Returning the unit to Harvey Norman, the problem extended to other examples of this device. Harvey Norman promptly organized a replacement. Great service from Harvey Norman.
