Panasonic Stainless Steel Microwave Trim Kit (NN-TK81KCSCP)

I bought the microwave because it scored so well in Which? review and especially because there was a trim kit available. On receipt of the trim kit and reading the instructions, I realised that it requires a cabinet with an internal width of 600, whereas UK oven housings are 600mm wide externally so only 563 internally. This means that you cannot install the side heat deflector, nor the undertray. Absolutely infuriating

I sought assurance from Panasonic that this would fit a standard 600mm cabinet - seeing reviews of concern - reviews were right . This kit does not work . Yes the front panel fits within a carcass but the framework and it's clips do not at all . We are trying to find solutions to fit this now kitchen is fitted but not easy. You should be able to pop the fascia of this into the frame clips so they can be removed to access the microwave. Now will have to silicone in permanently or we are looking at magnets perhaps . A very , very expensive bit of metal surround !

This trim kit was difficult to obtain and when it did come didnt fit the standard 600mm housing unit. When I eventually got through to panasonic the call took 36 mins and the peeson left me on hold twice. He also said I should not presume that 600mm was not a standard housing size!! Sending the kit back is a nightmare. Will never buy panasobic again.
