Pandemic - Hot Zone North America

I've been a fan of Pandemic for many years. I leant the game out some time ago and have no idea who now has it so it was time to replace it. I hadn't been aware of the new iterations of the game until it appeared on Gamekings daily deals. Those deals are hard to pass up so I picked up Hot Zone North America, rather than get another copy of the base game. So how does it compare for me? Firstly, I really like the compact size of the game, it quick and easy to set up which makes it an accessible game in that it takes little effort to get it to the table. It still retains the feel of the original, just in the smaller package. ( Next up will be full crisis mode). Depending on your experience with the original the easier time we had in defeating the game could be a plus or minus for you. Other than that the game is really a simplified version of the original. I like it, I'm glad I purchased it and I will probably pick up some other versions.

Plays just like the full version, only faster. Good for younger players who might not have the attention span for the full game.

A Great Starter for Kids

My kids have seen the grown-ups playing Pandemic and while they try, it can be a bit much for them. This has been a really great way to get them started.

Great game, great price

Pandemic Hot Zone North America is the perfect introduction to cooperative gaming. Rules are easy to understand and the game plays very quick. I think it's best for 2-3 players. At this price, it's a great value.

I have many Pandemic games and this one is another winner! My husband and I love playing this version. So much fun!

No-Frills Pandemic

I enjoy the Pandemic games, but with all the expansions for the original, it can be daunting to bring out at times This is the answer to that problem. This is a quick, toned-down (but still fun to play) version of the original game. Great edition to get out for a friend who isn't sure about the cooperative board game scene.

Pandemic Streamlined

Keeps the challenge and excitement of the original Pandemic game but shaves off some extra time. Also, while this is a great homage to the original it has enough of its own elements to stand on it's own. The gameplay is simplified for sure but crisis events do a lot of the heavy lifting in this version keeping people on their toes. Highly recommended.

Small but fun!

This is a cute little version of the classic Pandemic board game. It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be, but I look forward to playing it!

Well worth it

Good shorter and smaller version of Pandemic. Like this version because the 2 player set up works great and we can play in a shorter amount of time when the other versions would not be possible. Mechanics and terms are nearly identical with a few alterations.

nice variation on original that is quicker

we enjoy the original pandemic and find this version even quicker to set up and very enjoyable to play together. typically done in 30mins and the crisis cards add a fun dynamic with randomness
