In Small World of Warcraft, players vie for conquest and control of a world that is simply too small to accommodate everybody. Small World of Warcraft is set on the fantasy world of Azeroth, where the races of the Alliance and the Horde — including Orcs, Dwarves, Trolls, and Worgen — clash in a world-consuming conflict. In the game, players choose combinations of special powers and races from the Warcraft universe, such as Portal Mage Pandarens or Herbalist Goblins, and vie for control of Azeroth. To help them achieve dominance, players will occupy legendary terrains and seek control of powerful artifacts. However, all empires must eventually fall, so players need to be ready to put an overextended race into a state of "decline" and lead a new one to rule Azeroth. In more detail, on each turn either you use the multiple tiles of your chosen fantasy race to (normally) occupy adjacent territories, possibly defeating weaker enemy races along the way, or you give up on your race and let it go into decline. A race in decline is designated by flipping the tiles over to their black-and-white side. At the start of the game or after you go into decline, you choose a new race/power combination at the start of your turn, with the 16 races and 20 powers being paired randomly each game. At the end of your turn, you score one coin for each territory your races occupy. You may have one active race and one race in decline on the board at the same time. Your occupation total can vary depending on the special abilities of your race and the territories they occupy. After the final round, the player with the most coins wins.

It was a twist on Pandemic which we love, and it played pretty well and the intense coming down to the wire of winning and losing. I had to drop a start because I didn't like it as much as the original, or most of the other expansions, and the rules were confusing in some areas and even BGG hasn't got all the answers to some of the confusion.

The Pandemic system works perfectly for this setting, honestly. It's easy to pick up as well. My wife and I played the first game, and she's new to the board game scene, but was able to pick it up and run with the rules immediately. We won our first game and plan to play many more with friends and family!

This is a fun game! And the minis are great. But might only be fun if the World of Warcraft lore is something you know and like. The game mechanics aren’t interesting enough to make it a 5, (such as the original Pandemic series). I still liked it, but I wouldn’t bring it out for friends that don’t know the WoW world.

The warcraft theme is slathered across this board game, lovingly. From the board itself to the cards to the fantastic little models. Fans of the ip and board games in general will find a lot to love.
Hero models are nice but pretty much the whole box is like 30 of the same lane ghoul sculpt. Gameplays fineCheap so I would get it just for the hero models if you like wow.
I played a lot of the actual Lich King on World of Warcraft, so I was very excited to play this Boardgame inspired by itMy girlfriend and I started to read the instructions for it last night, they were a bit challenging and left us with some guesswork, but mainly I think that's because of the way they're written, more than the actual rules themselves. As for the game, I love itTo me one of the key components of an awesome game, is randomness (Each game will be different), which this game delivers. Also, the sense of urgency is definitely there, which really lent to the game, and to feeling like the actual raids from the actual video game.Well done, keep up the good work
We play board games almost daily with our kids ages 10, 9, 7, and 5. The 10 and 9-year-olds really love this one... even more than Pandemic. It's just really well done. Fun for the kids and adults. Very challenging, but beatable. It's a little brutal to learn at first, but if you already know how to play Pandemic and you watch a youtube "how to" it's easy to pick up in an hour or so.
It has a cool implementation of the pandemic system. Pretty easy to get to the table. The game has several ways to adjust the difficulty up or down depending on preference and people you are playing with. If you are a fan of WoW you will have another level of appreciate for the game.
We we're sent an email at the same time as playing this game for the first time. As avid World of Warcraft players, I thought this would be the perfect gift for my other half for Christmas. Oh how right I was. This game combines the perfect amount of in game knowledge and applies it into a pandemic style game and the two just fit together perfectly. The game is complicated at first, but once you've played one game of it, you just can't stop. It's fantastic and will make our regular board game date nights every time.I'm super impressed with the layout of the game, how intricate it is and it's just far enough from Pandemic to feel like a completely different game at the same time as having an advantage if you played the originals. An amazing and fun-filled game. The attention to detail is amazing and mind blowing and the miniatures are extremely detailed. Highly recommend this board game
