I have him using a gel or water based moisturizer after to replace some of the moisture it removes plus sunblock as this product can cause skin to be more sensitive to harsh UV rays. It has cleared his adult acne to almost zero in just a week, I can't stress that enough. He is much happier with the results than he ever has and I'm a much happier wife knowing he feels good about his skin (and I can stop hunting for more products)! This has helped amazing for my acne. I have pretty bad acne on my cheeks and chin/jaw (my guess is bacterical and/or hormonal acne). This has been drying up my breakouts so quickly. I've been using for 2 weeks and I can see lots of improvement. It's not completely clear and some breakouts are still coming out but they are smaller white heads and not much cystic acne anymore (unless i'm on my period). Upon research I've read and heard that it's normal to see results while also still getting some minor break outs in the same area where they usually come out. You're supposed to see your skin clear up and have very little break outs by week 8-10. So I will give it more time and see if this fully clears up my skin. I was trying salycilic acid before this and it was helping but I def saw the real improvement in my skin when I started incorporating this wash in my night routine. It felt immediate too like you can visually see change overnight! My skin is currently dry with acne which makes it very difficult because these acne treatments are all very drying. The wash is supposed to be the gentlest form of benzol peroxide (kills acne causeing bacteria) because you leave on for a couple of minutes and wash off instead of leaving on your face overnight or during the day. If you have sensitive dry skin i def advice introducing this slowly 1-3 times a week and not using a lot of product or irritation will occur. I also wouldn't mix it with a strong salycilic acid or other strong active (i've been using a more gentle SA toner that I can use daily instead of a strong active paired with this) and have seen great results. You don't need the SA you can start with just the benzol peroxide wash and will see better results than with any other active (if you have cystic or inflamed acne. This is my experience). I have not tried a retinoid because of how dry my skin is but honestly I'm so glad I went with this. ITS SOOO AFFORDABLE too and I've been using on my back acne and seeing good results too. If you have oily skin this will be fine with a light moisterizer and spf, if you have dry or sensitive/acne prone def start with the 4% and I reccomend a hydrating serum + moisterizer + spf (in the morning) . Personally, if I don't use a hydrating serum this will leave my skin too dry (even with thick moisterizer) and with a burning sensation. So start slow with little product, only a couple of times a week and make sure you nourish your skin after. I can't wait to see what my skin looks like in a couple of more weeks!

In fact, I think I’ve been getting a few more pimples.I see that it takes around 2-4 weeks for it to start working but I do not usually have to wait that long for products to start working. It is kind of frustrating. I’m debating whether or not I should continue using this over my salicylic acid cleanser just to see if my acne will eventually improve with the benzoyl peroxide. Cleared most of my acne within days

My old routine had been salicylic acid cleanser, sunscreen, light moisturizer, and niacinamide cream at night. I had a few large pimples on my forehead and around my nose that refused to disappear despite months of this routine. Following a YouTuber's recommendation (she said to add benzoyl peroxide to your routine if you have large, painful pimples), I picked up some Panoxyl. Wow! My acne cleared in literally two days. I'm still continuing the rest of my routine because I find the salicylic acid cleanser is a lot less drying than Panoxyl in the mornings. Plus salicylic acid can help reduce oxidative stress caused by sun damage during the day, and it increases cell turnover rate. I will cleanse every other day with Panoxyl and use a heavy moisturizing cream afterward to keep my skin hydrated. So far I'm loving the product though, and I like that it has no fragrances, which tend to irritate my skin.

My dermatologist has long recommended a 10% benzoyl peroxide wash. It used to be Rx only, but eventually became available OTC. I've used a 10% bp wash for many years.I'm in my 40s, have oily skin, and left untreated can develop acne ranging from small white heads to painful, cystic acne and folliculitis. It took me 20 years of adult life to eventually find a daily routine that generally keeps my skin clean, clear, and free of painful breakouts. The cornerstone of that routine was the Neutrogena 10% Benzoyl Peroxide wash that I found to be strong enough to serve it's purpose but still gentle enough to not cause annoying side effects such as irritation and over dryness. Unfortunately that face wash appears to have been discontinued.PanOxyl was a product I had tried before, years ago (before I discovered the other parts of my routine which I suspect played a bigger role in it actually being effective - more on that below), and I believe it was the actual brand recommended by my dermatologist once 10% bp became available over the counter. So I knew it was a good product, and similar to what I had been using- both in price and effectiveness. So it was an easy first choice for me in trying to replace the wash I've relied on for some time.I've been using it now for a few weeks and I haven't noticed a difference in my results, thankfully. It seems to be very similar to me and hasn't dried my skin out completely or irritated it in any way. So for now, I think this is the one that will become my go-to. I've also purchased it for my 18-year old who was similarly concerned about the Neutrogena being discontinued. Seems to be working for them as well.I mentioned above that for me, there were other factors that helped make this product work better. Those factors are:*Exfoliating/washing before I shave - without doing this, shaving dirty and oily skin seems to lead to more breakouts.*I use a little silicone face scrubber to apply and scrub with the PanOxyl - after shaving -which helps clean follicles and wash away little hairs- it seems to really help avoid ingrown hairs and folliculitis, which has been awful for me at times.

I really liked this face wash. As someone who tried LOTS OF different acne products, this one is definitely in the top 3. It doesn’t have strong smell, makes your skin matte reducing redness. I have also noticed that it makes red pimples much smaller in size. Might make it a little dry after several days, so keep using the moisturizer. The only problem is it is hard to wash it off. I made a mistake on the first use by applying it all over the face, not avoiding eye area. It hurts a lot even tho you try to wash it off several times. So just be careful while using by applying only on problematic areas and closing your eyes tight while washing it off. Packaging is great, price is not much for its quality and size of the tube. Would definitely recommend for anyone ... MoreI really liked this face wash. As someone who tried LOTS OF different acne products, this one is definitely in the top 3. Love this product!! Sometimes I get rlly lazy and only wash my face once a day so I get a bunch of oil build up on my nose and forehead and all I have to do is wet my face apply it and let it sit for like 5 minutes then massage it in and rinse and it’s amazing!! I do think that the improvement of my skin could also be hormonal balance finally but if you’re oily I say get it bcs it rlly helps combat that. This is the first review I’ve ever done sorry it’s it maybe all over the place. Just goes to show how much I love it I suppose.

Now I'm not going to over exaggerate about the acne wash, but how can I NOT say it's my hero. I had started using it, to remove makeup, and to wash my face in general, and over the week was surprisrd with my results from this random face wash I've never used before. I noticed after not being in routine of using it, my face broke out. My sister actually had this product, and I had been staying for a week, and didn't bring my own face wash by accident. Little did I know this facewash was my miracle🤷‍♀️. I had started using it, to remove makeup, and to wash my face in general, and over the week was surprisrd with my results from this random face wash I've never used before. I noticed after not being in routine of using it, my face broke out. Along with everytime I went there and used it, my face settled just a little even for a few days of washing. I want to say it was a lifesaver finding this product because although acne is oh so normal and common, I'm quite insecure when I see it on my own face. Plus the pimples and zits really hurt when my rings scratch them as I apply moisturizer (ouch!). So big thanks to this face wash it has saved my skin and raised my confidence. 🙏

Protect your eyes!!!!

The acne fighting power is there however the product is advertised as “foaming”. It does not foam at all. The liquid is runny like a lotion. For this reason the product is much more easier to get in your eyes because the liquid is so lose. I indeed did get it in my eye. Rinsed after and immediately my eye began to water. It’s been 3 days and my eye is still watering excessively, now itching, red and swollen. I am currently at an urgent care center having my eye checked out. USE CAUTION WITH THIS PRODUCT!!! Do everything in your power to not get it in your eye if you decide to use it even at all. I will not be using this product again. The risk is far too great. I brought this for myself and two teen daughters. And am nervous my teen daughters will experience this ... MoreThe acne fighting power is there however the product is advertised as “foaming”. An actual foaming product, something a lot more thick, would have been better as advertised. Ended up with a new prescription for my eye. Ointment to be applied every 4 hours for the next 5 days. This really sucks…

The best OTC cleanser!!

This is the ONLY product that has worked for me. I was about to go see a dermatologist for my hormonal acne but decided to give this a try first and I’m so glad I did. It’s not necessarily a “foaming” wash, as it doesn’t lather super well and it has a slight chemical smell. Also, because it is at maximum strength, use white/old towels or even paper towels if possible. This WILL bleach dark colors, especially if not rinsed off throughly. And lastly, I recommend trying it for at least a month before seeing results. It caused my skin to purge, which is just skin cells overturning at a quicker rate and results in more breakouts within the first week or two. This is normal and typically means the product is working properly. They should be gone soon after. Make sure to ... MoreThis is the ONLY product that has worked for me.
