I’m really happy I tried these pens, they work great and are just the right fit for my needs. I go through a lot of pens at my job and use them on a large variety of different types of papers and labels. I struggled to find the right pen until I tried these paper mate pens. They show up extremely well on paper as well as labels. With other brands I have tried in the past the pens were either to light and didn’t shown up well or they smeared when used on labels. The paper mate pens show up well and I have had no issues with the pen smearing. They write smoothly and I’ve had no issues with them Clogging or not working when needed. If your looking for a pen that works incredibly well and is adaptable I’d highly recommend these pens.

I was expecting the pen that showed on the product page. I was expecting long and skinny pens. The pens i received are completely different from the picture. They are perfectly fine and I have no problems with pens. However, it would be nice to know what I am getting is different pens NOT THE ONES YOU SHOW ON YOUR PRODUCT PAGE. HOW HARD IS IT TO CHAMGE THE PRODUCT PICTURE? I will not have any complaints if I know what I am buying. Ugh!!!!!!

Took a chance on these pens online. Pulled one out of the box and it's not smooth at all. It writes as if it's about to run out of ink. I scribbled a bunch and it didn't get any better.

Not the pens pictured that are quite durable, instead hard brittle plastic ones that snap very easily
I was so excited thinking I got some of the classic Paper Mate blue pens. The picture is misleading. My husband loves the classic/older style ones (like the one in the picture) and I thought I would be able to surprise him with them since he has been hunting for some for a couple of years. What I got was not the classic style. Instead they are a new type of ballpoint Paper Mate blue pen with a click-on cap. I might have to return them because I ordered 48 and now I don't know what to do with them. To be fair, MSC packaged well and delivered on the date they said they would. I'm just sad I don't have the pens I really wanted.
Of all the ink pen brands out on the market, the paper mate brand has always been my preferred go to for pens, even as a kid. I love the way a paper mate pen writes, especially these 1.0 mm medium point pens. The ink flows consistently and delivers nicely saturated and accurate lines. The 60ct box is the most sensible size for my family of five during school season, and it's pretty affordable. However, I am not sure how I feel about the thicker barrel design. It's new, stylish and has a long grip zone for comfortable writing. They also come in your typical blue, black and red. I personally prefer the black ink like these and they are some pretty great writing pens. I absolutely recommend Paper Mates write bros 60ct economy box.

This pen has been around since 1971. I used them in school and purchased these for the retro style. They used to he a quality product. However, being the curious soul that I am, I pulled the ink tube from the barrel to look at the ink supply. The ink tube is now white. I took a flashlight and backlit the tube to see the ink level. It only had 1/3 the amount of ink of the old pens. This seems kind of shady of Paper Mate. The old style ink tubes were clear and full of ink with a piece of cork at the top end. Yeah, these are inexpensive pens. But, if they want to compete with Bic or even China made Dollar General imports, they need to have full ink barrels. Just buy Bic.
These pens are great, I use them at work a lot, to the point that I decided to buy a box of blue and red as well. The pens have a very basic plastic body, no frills, they just work as they should. Depending on your writing preference these pens may be a little too "Spartan" especially for those that like cushioned pen grips. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a basic balled point "ink stick."
We have been purchasing the traditional (been around for years and years) blue We have purchased the Papermate Write Bros. pen for years and years. Recently the model of the pen was REPLACED with a different model (same cat. #) and it sucks. Out of a box of 12, only three wrote well enough to use, and we threw away the other nine. The word RELIABLE needs to be removed from the BOX.
