Parker Jotter Original Ballpoint Pen - Blue
The Parker Pen Company is an American manufacturer of luxury pens, founded in 1888. Parker Jotters were a favourite choice of President John F. Kennedy for signing legislation and to give as gifts. Indeed, successive presidents from Kennedy to Clinton used Parker pens for these purposes, and Parker retained a special representative to handle White House orders. In one of his early years in office, Lyndon B Johnson ordered no less than 60,000 Parker pens! From 1888 to present day, Parker’s craftsmen and designers have never stopped working, innovating, and reinventing the Parker pen. Modern Parker pens are complex mechanisms of up to 21 individual parts designed to work together to produce pens of discerning quality. Attention to detail is at the core of every Parker pen and it requires expert craftsmen and designers to create them.

I disagree with the reviewers who stated that this pen is nowhere near the quality of vintage Jotters.I own both a 1970s Jotter and this modern one, both in stainless steel. Comparing them side-by-side, the only noticeable difference is the brass vs. plastic female threads where the barrel screws together, and they slightly redesigned the arrow's fletching on the clip. The sound and feeling of the click are identical. One of those reviews noted that this pen weighs half of what it should. I own both the modern and a 70s Jotter. Without the refills, they weigh 11 and 15 grams, respectively. So sure, the modern one is lighter, but a 4 gram difference isn't noticeable to my hand.Given the cost of vintage stainless steel Jotters, this modern version is absolutely ... MoreI disagree with the reviewers who stated that this pen is nowhere near the quality of vintage Jotters.I own both a 1970s Jotter and this modern one, both in stainless steel. I have been using Jotters since college in the late 1970's. Now, as a lawyer, I write extensively with one every workday. A Jotter stays in my shirt pocket all the time. These well-designed, well-made (buy the French made ones) pens will last for decades and always provide reliable service. I periodically buy an extra one to have on hand in case I lose one and sometimes I give one away. The Parker refills write smoothly but the Schmidt refill is also nice. I prefer the stainless ones, as I think they look classier, and your ownership of it is more likely to be respected if someone walks by your desk and sees it laying there and has an urge to "borrow" it.

Honestly, I bought this for nostalgia reasons, and it's hard to live up to those kinds of expectations. The click is still super satisfying, the ballpoint that comes with it feels familiar and is fine (wider than I'd like, but smooth and I love the look of that triangular silver nib).Maybe I was smaller when I last used one of these (and admittedly, I likely used more of the plastic kind), but the pen feels smaller and lighter, and not in a good way. The size feels more like my small tactile turn pen, without the nice heft. And it's only 0.25-0.5 inches shorter (capped/cap on back for writing) than my dad's old (verrrry old) parker fountain pen and slightly narrower, so it's a less pleasant writing experience. But for the price, it's a solid pen to knock around ... MoreHonestly, I bought this for nostalgia reasons, and it's hard to live up to those kinds of expectations. And the click mechanism is worth the price of entry...

Coming back to amend a previous review I left about 2.5 weeks ago. I initially had some issues with the ink flow; however, I had a great interaction with customer service, and they sent me an ink refill that they tested and verified at no additional charge! They really came through and now it writes like a dream. I'm very thankful that they would go through such lengths for me. Thanks JetPens! God bless in Jesus' name!
Love the design of these pencils, very good quality, made out of brusshed metal , it gives it a more luxurious look and feel. It goes go very smoothly on paper and feels very easy to write with it. It does come with a rechargeable ink slot for the second ink pen, but you can also get additional if needed. Feels very good quality and honestly best pens ever. I got this set engraved for my partner as I am sure it will be a great gift and also memory.
Bought this pen in hopes it would be reliable. I have been hunting for a reliable pen that will write clearly and never have those lines in the letters when you write. I work in a building with tile flooring. After reading about this company, inovating pens to be the most reliable piece of writing equiptment you can have I bought one. It was great, smooth and wrote every letter perfectally. Two days later it slipped out of my hands, dropp on the floor and did not write the same. So i bought a refill In hopes it would not happen again. Then next day the pen slipped out of my hands again, hit the floor, and the same thing happened. In the years of accidents I have never had a pen write like crap after one fall.I had very high expectations for this. The money I have ... MoreBought this pen in hopes it would be reliable. The money I have spent on this pen I could have bought a package of cheaper pens that write just as well that would last me a year. The pen quality is great and feels nice in your hands and does write smoothly. I will give it a 8/10.As far as durability and reliability i will have to give it a 2/10.
(Not familiar with Feefo, so I wrote about this Pad - Original Crown, Laid, Blue) in the "Service" bit too.I enjoy hand-writing for anything more important than an email or SMS text, and good quality writing paper is becoming difficult to find easily. This pad (Original Crown, A5, Blue) fitted the bill perfectly. I did not write on both sides, but the fountain pen ink did not bleed through, and textured paper really lifts the standard of what would otherwise be "merely" a letter.
It’s a beautiful pen with a lovely weight to it. I bought it so I could write my a level exams (long answers) in a comfortable pen. I love the fact it’s engraved with my name. I also love how Parkers last for years and sometimes multiple generations (I’m still writing with my Grandpas Parker from the 60s) . Such lovely pens would recommend to anyone.
Thanks. Nice pen, nice price. Why buy one ?, unlike the cheap pens these are comfortable, last years and work consistently well until the refill needs changing. The only hassle is people swiping them :). Note. I was happy with the delivery time but eBay was hassling me to review before it arrived. Complain to eBay, not me.
In addition to the pens they also sent me green refills (green ink) without Charging me.I had asked if they can replace the Parker black ink with green. They sent the original black with green. They went above %26 beyond.I have seen a lot of good reviews for them too. They will my regular go to for my Pens %26 Pen Refills.Blessings,Sam(Luke 18:9-14)
