This nailer is one of the best tools I own. Despite the size and weight, it is very well built and feels very comfortable in the hand. It also drives nails completely to the head at all angles. I have used other framing nailers that will not drive nails completely on an angle. This one has no such issue. I have only used clipped head nails, but it will also take some round head nails as well. The tip is steel, and has teeth on the sides to make digging into wood framing easy. This makes moving from shot to shot quicker and much more accurate. It comes with a bump trigger that you can use in place of the single shot trigger that is installed. So, I have elected to leave it as is.

I typically don't spring for higher-end tools, but the store associate talked me into spending a little more on this tool. I have a project that will be ongoing and I need the tool to hold up. I'm tired of buying cheaper tools only to have to buy another in a few years. It is too soon to know the answer to the question of longevity (only purchased it a few weeks back) but wow does it perform. Boom, boom, boom. Walls went up so easy. This is clearly a well-built tool and I'm confident it will outperform other, less expensive tools I've purchased in the past.

As an avid DIYer, I own an assortment of pneumatic tools and use pneumatic framing nailers all the time, but this is my first experience with a Paslode brand nailer and I have to say that I’m impressed with it. Before you can use the nailer, you will need to install an air hose adapter and load the magazine with nails, neither of which is included however, a pair of safety glasses is provided. I placed a strip of 2-1/2-inch 30-degree paper tape hot dipped galvanized nails into the magazine, which I unloaded into various types and thickness of scrap wood, mostly pine and cedar, left over from an earlier DIY project, without any jams. I placed a strip of 2-1/2-inch 30-degree paper tape hot dipped galvanized nails into the magazine, which I unloaded into various types and thickness of scrap wood, mostly pine and cedar, left over from an earlier DIY project, without any jams. I had to fiddle with the air pressure and depth adjustment to drive the nails completely into the wood, but once adjusted, I was able to continually drive nails without having to go back and finish with a hammer, which saves time. The capacity of this nailer is excellent; holding up to 2 strips of nails in the magazine, from 2-inches to 3-1/2 inches. Although I ran whatever brand of nails I had on-hand through the nailer without issue, the manufacturer recommends using Paslode paper collated nails because they state using inferior nails or nails not specific to the nailer can cause jams and place additional wear and tear on the tool. The nailer is constructed of durable metal, except for a few plastic parts. A hex tool, which is conveniently stored in the end of the magazine, is included for making adjustments. Since I generally am not hard on my tools, I expect this nailer will provide years of reliable service if I do my part and take care to oil it. At 8.4lbs it’s lighter-weight than other framing nailers, with good balance and low recoil. The 30-degree angle is handy for toe-nailing and driving nails in tight spaces. The nailer features a soft, comfortable, rubber, non-slip grip and a built-in heavy-duty utility hook which could be used to suspend the tool from a belt, but is better suited for hanging on rafters. The aggressive tip allows you to drive nails at any angle without slipping. The nailer is capable of firing off up to 12 nails per second. An optional bump-fire trigger is included to prevent accidental bump-firing, but requires installation prior to use. For my test, I didn’t install the bump-fire trigger, but since I tend to slowly and deliberately land each shot with precision, when it counts, I plan to install the optional trigger. One thing to note is that the nailer won’t fire with less than 8 nails remaining in the magazine. While some users may dislike this feature, anyone who has ever driven nails and then realized the magazine was empty for the last dozen or so trigger pulls will appreciate this feature. Having been there and done that, I know I do. Overall, this is a great gun, and I have no complaints, but my biggest con would be the Operating and Maintenance Manual. Although the manual is illustrated and provides detailed step-by-step instructions, it's a generic manual covering all of Paslode’s nailers, so you really need to pay attention to what you are reading or you could find yourself following instruction intended for another nailer. Paper collated nails are costly. This Paslode nailer ensures that every shot counts.

I have used one time to bulid a fencedThan put in storageNow conected to do some framing and it happens that the compressor runs continuously because the gun LEAKS AIR out of the back coverI thought Pasload was a good brand. Wrong. I might have gone better withHarbor Freight o any unbranded oneI had a Ridgid 350 never gave me problems until someone stole it off my shed
Purchased my Paslode Framing Nailer approximately 2 years ago. Even though I’m not a Professional full-time user of the nailer, I’ve successfully completed numerous major projects using the Paslode framing nailer (deck, remodeling, restoration and refurbishing structural rooms, etc.), and it has operated flawlessly on every project! The 30 degree angle is great for getting into those hard to access tight corners when framing! To date, Home Depot has always had in stock the size and type of nails I’ve needed... I’ve used 2”, 3-1/4”, and 3-1/2”! I highly recommend the Pneumatic Paslode Framing Nailer to anyone looking for a great framing nailer!!!
I bought this about 4 years ago thinking I would be using it much more than I thought. I only have about 20 nails through it, and it stopped! This tool was not abused, was in a clean environment during storage as well. I thought Paslode was a brand I could trust...now I have to pay to have it fixed...
Several years ago, I was in the midst of rebuilding the entire interior of my son's house. I bought my first nailer, a 28-degree Hitachi for that. It sure beat using a hammer all day to drive nails, and I became sold on the value of using a air-nailer. I used that nailer a lot. For the most part, it worked perfectly, but would occasionally jam. I didn't care for the wired nails it required, nor the fact that the air hose came out directly behind it and seemed to always be getting in the way of my work. It also didn't have any hook on it, for safely suspending it, while you freed your hands to move a board. When I completed that job, I gave that nailer to my son-in-law for him to use on a planned addition to his house. Then, I got this Paslode PowerMaster Plus! ... MoreSeveral years ago, I was in the midst of rebuilding the entire interior of my son's house. It also didn't have any hook on it, for safely suspending it, while you freed your hands to move a board. When I completed that job, I gave that nailer to my son-in-law for him to use on a planned addition to his house. Then, I got this Paslode PowerMaster Plus! First off, Paslode is a American brand used by many full-time pros. My cousin has a Paslode framing nailer he bought 20 years ago, from a pawn shop, and it was already old then. He still uses it in his contracting business today. Paslode has been in business for 50 years, making tools for pros.Comparing this new Paslode PowerMaster Plus Model F350-S to my old Hitachi, quite a few things stand out as better. For starters, the weight is very close to the same, but the build quality seems to be tougher. The Paslode comes with a Allen wrench attached to the tool. It's air-hose fitting angles off to the right rear, so the hose will stay out of your way more. It has a nice nail depth adjustment feature, to allow you to control how deep you set your nails. That would come in really handy if you need to nail roofing plywood, versus framing 2x4's for a wall. The Paslode also comes with a fold-out metal hook, so you can hang the tool from a rafter, or even your belt, in order to free up your hands. My old Hitachi always needed to be set-down to free up your hands. The nose of the nailer is good and aggressive, so if you need to use it at an angle to toe-nail a board, you have a good solid pressure point. My old Hitachi was always slipping when you toe-nailed with it. The Paslode uses paper-collated nails, which I love much more than wire or plastic collated nails, which always seem to smack you with little bits of wire or plastic. It also does not seem to kick-back when firing, like others I have used. It also doesn't jam like my old one, and if it does, it is easy enough to clear a jam, which my old one was more cumbersome to do.The Paslode has a aluminum casing, and the air exhaust is directed out in front of the nailer, so you are not being blasted by oily air every time you fire it. Paslode includes a pair of safety glasses with the nailer, which is nice. They also include a orange trigger to convert the nailer from single-fire to rapid bump-fire for when you need that. The nail magazine is made of aluminum, versus plastic that you see on some nailers. All in all, this is a nailer designed for long-term and regular use, and it shows in every aspect of its design. I have heard full-time carpenters say that you can average a half-million nails before you'll need to service a Paslode. And, when that time comes, they include a parts diagram, and you could probably rebuild it yourself, although they do have service centers all across the US. The only thing they do not include, and I am not sure why, is a air-hose fitting for the nailer, so you'll have to buy your own separately.Yes, this nailer costs a little more than many others, but if you want something that is going to last a long time, and do the job right every time, then you can't go wrong with this great nailer! Thanks Paslode, and Home Depot!
This gun is great. Works perfectly with my pancake compressor. I had a couple of boxes of Paslode nails and when Paslode quit supporting the cordless gun I used I wanted a gun that did not require any cartridges or batteries that they could quit supporting again! Can’t say I think much of the company since I now have a worthless cordless Paslode, but this gun is great if you have the ability to nail near a compressor (electricity needed in my case).
I recently obtained the Paslode F350S Framing Nailer for use on deck repairs and home improvement projects. The first thing I noticed out of the box is how big the body is on this tool. However, it feels very comfortable in your hand and has great ergonomics. After using the F350S replacing deck spindles, I am very impressed with it’s performance. Further details are discussed below.Despite it’s daunting size, the F350S Framing Nailer is lightweight, weighing only 8.4 lbs. and balances right over the trigger. Once you get the depth honed in, the F350S drives nails very consistently and fast. It comes with two triggers, one for sequential fire and another for rapid (bump) mode. The exhaust port is also adjustable. The only negative thing I found is there is no quick connect coupler included for the air hose, and it requires a 3/8 inch coupler. If you are looking for a pneumatic framing nailer that is lightweight, reliable and powerful, look no further than the Paslode F350S.
Bought one of these @ 1 1/2 yeas ago to replace my 15 year old Porter Cable nail gun, which just wore out. Worked great until it started misfiring. Sometimes it works fine then out of nowhere it will misfire 5-10 times in a row and then fire a nail, then misfire some more, then work fine for a while. I don't use cheap no name brand nails, keep it lubed and the nose piece lubed up. Ordered a Paslode brand rebuild kit for it for $35.00 to see if that will help the problem go away.
