This is the Pat McGrath mothership X: Moonlit seduction palette and it retails for $128.00. The mothership palettes are heavier palettes that feature 3 matte shades and 7 shimmer shades. The formula with this palette was a little different than the other releases. It was loosely pressed, making it prone to having a little fallout. I have all the PM palettes and found the formula with this one was a little drier, resulting in some shades sheering out a little when blended. The shiny shades are gorgeous, super sparkly. I personally like to use an eyeshadow primer with a little grip to keep the sparkles from migrating. Overall, all shades are pigmented or can be built up. Easy to blend and long wearing. Beautiful colors

it’s the piece of art. i’m a natural blonde, blueish grey eyes, my skin tone is neutral, and undertone is leaning toward cool/olive and it’s a bomb. I purchased it online and it took me a long time to browse to all available information and influencers’ blogs & vlogs. but when it came in i knew i made a right choice. also, can’t wait to purchase the Divine Rose and Bronze Seduction. my advise - is to think what eye shadow colors normally looks the best for your features and go from there. and don’t be afraid if there is a bright red blue or green in the palette of your choice. it’s design to perfectly match all other colors in the palette. worth every penny. it will be your most remarkable and mesmerizing eye look.

attached a look I did for my son’s graduation and a few other pics/videos. This palette is stunning! I did get it on sale. I wouldn’t pay full price bc as nice as it is….I can dupe the special shades with my indie collection and mattes with my huda and Patrick ta palettes but for $90 something dollars I love it! The mattes are easy to use blend well and have just the right pigment. I bought it for the special shades tho and they r really good! I did dupe sextasy with an indie single but I will say sextasy is my fav type of multichrome. Blue/brown/purple. The more glittery shades applied well with very little fallout with a glitter glue. I recommend buying it on a 30% off sale. If u do I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. When I want an elevated look for special events I use it over my indie shades. I use the mattes everyday. It not super unique in my collection but it performs well. The shifts are beautiful in sextasy. If u want any everyday multichrome this is it! The mattes can be used for a light look or u can deepen it up with the charcoal shade. I love it! I included one pic of just the mattes with my indie singles. Highly recommend just try to save some coins

I absolutely love this palette, it’s perfect for making neutral or cool, toned looks, which I’m really into right now. The special shades are exceptional, and can turn any look instantly into glam. Platinum Dusk is beautiful, and is nearly a special shade with all of its shimmery goodness. I’ve never been into Pats gold shades, but Blitz Astral Gold Lust is incredible and I use it all the time. It’s a neutral gold and is absolutely beautiful and shimmery. I think this is a beautiful palette, especially for the holidays, special occasions, and you can also easily wear it for every day looks. I agree with many people’s assessments that 2 of the mattes are fairly similar in the palette, with one being more cool and 1 being more warm/neutral, but I definitely use them ... MoreI absolutely love this palette, it’s perfect for making neutral or cool, toned looks, which I’m really into right now. I even pull this out to add glam on top of other eyeshadow palettes, they’re so beautiful. I highly recommend this palette if you love glam looks!
I have been playing with this Pat McGrath Mothership X Moonlit Seduction palette for about two weeks and as much as I have always wanted to own one of her palettes I truly feel this one lacks dimension and versatility for someone wanting a complete eye look. The packaging is as decadent as prior releases having the heavy, solid, black plastic palette sitting inside a guilded, colorful, cardboard trifold. The artwork and weight of the palette were exciting on their own and when opened the bright sparkle from nearly all of the shades was very beautiful. I have looked at her releases before (although I do not own them) it seems the pink / rose toned shadows has been a theme through at least 2 or 3 palettes and if I had bought the others, I don't think this would add ... MoreI have been playing with this Pat McGrath Mothership X Moonlit Seduction palette for about two weeks and as much as I have always wanted to own one of her palettes I truly feel this one lacks dimension and versatility for someone wanting a complete eye look. The packaging is as decadent as prior releases having the heavy, solid, black plastic palette sitting inside a guilded, colorful, cardboard trifold. I have looked at her releases before (although I do not own them) it seems the pink / rose toned shadows has been a theme through at least 2 or 3 palettes and if I had bought the others, I don't think this would add much to them upon visual inspection with the exceptions being VR Sextasy and Astral Lilac Aura (bottom right). The palette has ten shades total with only three matte shades, two of which are very similar warm, rose/ plum browns and the third looks similar but applies a darker, cooler brown shade. The two Astral shades I believe are supposed to be "special" and they look like they'd both deliver intense sparkle but I found Astral Lilac Aura to be slightly crumbly and dry; even when applying with my finger tip or using a wet brush and even mixing mediums. Platinum Dusk and Blitz Venus didn't apply evenly either.I do think these shades make good eyeshadow toppers and look better if applied using the fingertip on top of a darker shadow base. VR Sextasy really changes on top of the matte shadows and Bronze Devotion is a good base for the Astral Gold Lust or Skintense Glow if you want a look with a hint of colour and sparkle that lasts all day. I am adding some photos of a few looks using only this palette but as I said I had a hard time getting different outcomes without at least one shadow from another palette so I'm sure it'll be judged but I tried and am grateful to experience my first Pat palette.
My boyfriend gifted me this palette for Christmas when I mentioned off-hand how I always wanted to try out Pat McGrath's eyeshadow. The gold glitter shadow had popped out of the packaging when I first opened it, but it smooshed back in easily. I'm savoring every second of this GORGEOUS palette.Everything blends so smoothly! There some glitter fall out as to be expected with glitter, but it's light and not hard to fix. The matte shadows don't crease or separate with oily eyelids and I don't have to use an eye primer, but it does help to adhere glitter. It's versatile in how simple or glam the looks it can pull. The silver shimmer on its own can wash me out, but it works well with the other colors. I have 4 Pat McGrath Mothership palettes, but I feel like this has the best special shades. I really enjoy this new formula as well, they definitely feel different and more chunky, but the shine you get from these is totally comparable to the old, baked formula. I’m fair and enjoy cool tones a lot, so this palette is perfect for me to create smokey and sparkly cool toned looks. The special shades can be combined as well to achieve an ombré effect. A lighter brown transition shade would have been better than two rosy ones, but I use this palette together with Subliminal when I want to have a lighter transition shade on my crease.
Yes, I love the looks I did. No, this color story isn't my preferred aesthetic. I purchased it during a 40% sale and I do enjoy it because I love this brand's matte and shimmer formula. My personal complaints are:1. This palette seems one-note. Whatever looks I do, unless I layer one of the celestial shades over a dark base, look very similar. I don't have much variety with this palette regarding the looks I can create.2. The celestial shades in this palette are challenging to work with and there was learning curve for me. I don't use my fingers for makeup, but found using a sponge tip applicator works very well for me in picking up and applying the those shades to my lid. Even with that, I have to be in the mood to put in the extra effort needed to use them.I ... MoreYes, I love the looks I did. No, this color story isn't my preferred aesthetic. This is the very first Mothership Palette I have picked up. The only other Pat McGrath palette I have is her 2021 holiday palette (the one with the red and gold packaging...which is stunning!). I chose this one out of all 10 Motherships because I loved the colour story the most. I wanted something I could use regularly on a daily basis as well as do more dramatic looks with. I have heard many people complaining about this one saying it has her repetitive pink/purple/plum/burgundy shades she always does with a splash of gold, that the special shades aren't that special and aren't the baked Astral Blitz shades she usually has, and that it is her most boring colour story. However, I love this palette. It is actually my dream colour story. I like that it can be used for ... MoreThis is the very first Mothership Palette I have picked up. However, I love this palette. It is actually my dream colour story. I like that it can be used for daily office looks, yet still can be used for very shiny, dramatic looks. The special shades in this are shiny and sparkly enough for me and they still give you that wet look on your eyelid. I love the VR Sextasy shade; it is a grungy, industrial, oil spill type of multi-chrome shade that is very shiny and unique. Overall, a stunning colour story and formula. You can't go wrong with her Mothership Palettes if you choose the ones with colour stories you absolutely love.
As a natural redhead it is uber challenging to find eyeshadow shades that are flattering without being boring. This pallette definitely fits the bill. The colors are predominantly warm with some gorgeous metallics, and one warm-cool along with a cool-cool colorshift thrown in for some contrast. It is as pigmented as a pallette in this price point should be (which is heavily pigmented, just to be clear). I absolutely love the colors which allow for a range of applications from understated, to 90s grunge, to bold and dramatic af. *Warning: there is a "however" coming soon.* And while I know this has nothing to do with the actual product, as an artist I would be remiss not to mention the outstanding packaging (and for those who don't look at the bottom of boxes as ... MoreAs a natural redhead it is uber challenging to find eyeshadow shades that are flattering without being boring. Sadly it didn't stay put during the course of normal daily wear. To be clear, I don't use a primer (I usually don't find it necessary and the ones I've tried are too drying for my skin) and maybe that would have stopped the color from fading so noticeably...but it isn't an issue I encounter with most shadows. Others apply evenly and brightly and stay put without primer. In my opinion a shadow should work without a primer and primer should just be an option for those who want to enhance the product/its application/etc not require it to do what it's meant to do. (Man, I hope that makes sense...I have a migraine starting so apologies if the bit about primer gets a little *huh?*)Like any product it has its pros and cons.(Fellow natural gingers: the colors are excellent for our hair and fair skin...if Scully from the X-files went to raves this would have be her go-to pallette...90s with a modern flair. You can trust the colors)
