I was very surprised when my eleven year old asked for a comfy fluffy jacket ( he never asks for clothing) for his birthday. He is a tall, healthy 11 year old and I went with a XL based on sizing and it fits perfect. Great quality. I am blown away by the shipping. I ordered it yesterday expecting it to be here next week and it arrived within 26 hours. This may not seem like much but I have waited 2-3 weeks for other retailers to get orders during these times. First time ordering from Patagonia but will not be my last A+++++++ quality, style, sizing and shipping. Looks just like the photos.

My son is very picky about his fleece jacket. He had one from LLBean that he lived in for two or three years, but it was finally dissolving from use. We went on a hunt for over a year to find a fleece that ticked all his boxes and came up with this sherpa version from Patagonia. He loves it! I would have liked a fleece layer on top of the sherpa, but that doesn't seem to exist in the marketplace. This is going to work well through the fall and early winter, and he can layer it in truly cold weather. Thank you Patagonia for making the perfect fleece jacket for my picky son.

I love this fleece, it's now my go-to all the time, as it goes with everything. It's super cosy and warm. I'm 30 yo and 5'3 and I find the women's XS / S just don't fit me well, they're too long on the arms. But this fleece is ideal. I ordered the XXL and it's a little oversized which is perfect for me.

Why is there only one or sometimes two color options for girls?? On several coats there is just the dusty dark pink color. We won't be buying this year because of the lack of colors/options for girls. Bring back the patterned synchillas and the more fun kids colors.
I was searching for a pile jacket that was more light weight than the poofy ones you find in the women's department. However, I usually like jackets that don't have a hat attached to them so when I found this jacket in the men's/boy's section I was super happy! I wish the ladies section offered more neutral colors rather than girly ones. Luckily I can fit a boy's XXL size so I also scored on a cheaper price than the men's version. Only difference was inner lining was tan instead of navy and the red zipper is more of a coral color than a dark red like in the men's version. Also, the jacket does create lint so make sure not to wear with dark colors. Overall, I love my purchase and it's a great everyday wear item.
I love this!! I like that is a little more box of a fit and I'm excited to be wearing this in the winter. The sleeves is a little long but I think I will love it in the winter when it gets a little colder!
I wear this jacket casually (no adventure sports, outdoor activities, etc.) and the stitching on the cuff came undone within the first couple weeks of wearing it. The elbows also look worn. I own FAST FASHION jackets from many years ago that have held up better than this. Its not worth the price, and for being a Patagonia item this should have held much longer. The only good thing about this is that its warm and has good zippers.
Purchase and received the jacket in February for our son. He is approximately 45 inches 42 lbs and moving out of Size 4 and into Size 5 in other Patagonia clothes. Since we bought this at the tail end of the season we went with a size XS for next winter. He is able to wear the jacket right now at it his current size keeping it mind it is long and baggy but does not look laughably out of place. The quality of the jacket is where we were impressed and he was able to wear it with layers at -10c and as a layer under a jacket at -15c to -20c. Would recommend it more as a transitional season sweater or a layer for winter activities.
I am actually wearing this jacket as I write this review. I purchased it for myself as a petite adult (5’2”, 108# kids Large or 12 fits perfectly). I find Patagonia runs super long on the arms for women but the youth sizes do not, so it makes a great alternative if you are short. Jacket is warm, comfortable and the quality you expect from Patagonia. Altitude as always shipped quickly.
The jacket started to pile on the sleeves and around the seams on the body after just few wearings((Didn’t expect such thing. It was my very first time buying from Patagonia, I thought it will last for long time and will remain the same appearance for years ((Love the color and design, but the fabric has lack of quality, so overall I do not recommend this item!!
