Ordered this jacket as a layering piece for hiking. The size chart recommended XXL which I ordered. It was massively oversized by more than 20cm! Following discussion with Patagonia ordered the XL, again massively oversized by 20 cm. Am returning this one as well. When my other Patagonia clothing fits me “ true to size” I can not understand how this item is cut so large. The colour is great, the design is good but the fabric appears not of the usual quality.I really wanted to love this jacket as part of my hiking attire but was disappointed.

Perfect oversized jacket. Love the length of the sleeves. Perfect length that covers my bum. If you're looking for a comfy jacket that covers your bum and loose then order your true to size. If you're looking for more fitted, I'll size down. The quality of the jacket is great. Soft and comfy. I work in the healthcare field and I had to wash my jacket a few times and my jacket still looks new. After maybe 6 wash, the jacket did not shrink and fabric is still good.Patagonia, please add more colors (true navy). ! I want to purchase more!

I used to LOVE the old Micro D full zip jacket and have probably purchased 5 of them for myself and as gifts. I was ready for a new one, and was super bummed to find that the Microdini fabric of this jacket is heavier and not as soft as the old Micro D jacket. (Feels more like the Better sweater material, which I don’t love). It’s also enormous! Very different sizing than the old model. Sorry, this one is going back…

the perfect fleece. I love how the hem is not boring and flat, but the curved lines are really flattering! This does run on the bigger side, I am finding a lot of Patagonia stuff is running larger than in many years past. I have actually gained weight and am cording XXS now when I used to order XS and they would be tight on me.
I listened to the reviews and sized down to x-small from my usual small. I like the fit on me. It is not too big on me, yet I have room for a sweatshirt or sweater underneath if I want. I appreciate the extra coverage in the back and this is the only c.y.a. fleece option for women they have. I have it in the White Birch color and it’s a nice neutral for late winter and through spring. I hope Patagonia continues to make this jacket and add some autumnal colors in the fall.
I wanted to love this, it’s got a great hemline but the sizing is just way off. I’m usually an XL in the more fitted styles but even a L was huge. The sleeves are also too big and the hem on the sleeves is very childish … the band is tight and then the material puffs out around my wrist. Like an 80s anorak. Oh well. Sending back.
I sized down 2 sizes and still slightly roomy. But also bear in mind the cut is very straight, not a “woman’s” cut so no waist in this. Agree with others that the curved hem is not my preference. Would be better cut straight across like other jackets.I ordered this because I found the earlier version on sale but that one wasn’t the right size or color, so I thought this would be the same. It’s shaped and cut the same, but the fabric is so much worse. Nice to be more sustainable, but a major tradeoff IMO.Very disappointed with the rough irritating feel of this fleece, almost like old-school wool sweaters. Not soft at all.Love the full-zip though. Please keep making the full-zip fleece. Added a star for that.
I normally wear an XL in most Patagonia tops, but in jackets like the Nano Puff which cuts too high in the armpits and has skinny tight arms, I size up to an XXL in order for the jacket to fit and be able to wear it as a true jacket with a midlayer top under it. So since I wasn't sure what size I would be in this jacket, I bought both a XL and an XXL. Both were way to baggy in the body, the sleeves and the length were too long. While I was able to zip up the XL jacket and the neck fit perfectly around my neck, not too tight nor too loose, the body of the jacket was too baggy, the sleeves were three inches too long and the length completely covered my bottom (for reference, I'm 5'8" and a size 12 in most women's tops). It was not a flattering fit at all and even though the Coho Coral was a beautiful Dreamsicle ice creams color, sadly, both the XL and XXL were returned. I wish Patagonia would fix their weird sizing issues. There is relaxed fit and then there is big and unflattering. This jacket needs to be hourglassed-shaped for a women's body and three inches shorter in the sleeves and the body length.
My current Patagonia size is a medium. After reading the reviews , I purchased the Microdini Fleece Jacket in small. When it arrived, I found it comfortably large on me. Because I travel with layers, however, I needed this jacket to fit not only over a medium thermal capilene crew, but also under both the Nano Puff Insulated and Torrentshell 3L size medium jackets. Consequently, I reordered the Microdini in extra small. It fit perfectly! The fabric is soft and cozy, and I’m delighted to have a fleece jacket with a full length zipper. The only thing I would change if I could is the rounded hem. I would much prefer that it had a straight hem as my other jackets do. I am returning the size small. It has been worth the hassle of ordering a second jacket and returning the first in order to get a full zip fleece I can layer with my medium Patagonia jackets. It is unfortunate this jacket runs so large, at least two sizes on me, but I’m glad I now have one which fits.
First - the colour. The web photo accurately shows the colour of the thermal blue. It's pastel -- a grey-ish blue.Second, the features that have been added are zippered pockets (thank you Patagonia!) and a bit of elastic in the cuff meaning I don't have to fold the long sleeves up. I also like the shirt-tail cut - like a man's shirt. And third, the weight of the fleece is heavier than usual, I think.I like the Micro-d, now called microdini fleece for warmer weather then with winter I shift to a heavier weight Patagonia fleece. I buy their fleece and wear them out. You can say I'm a fan.One thing though - colours. Some bolder colours would be nice.
