Patagonia P-6 Label Trad Cap , Black

Nothing wrong to say about it. Support whatever brand is dear to you by buying the cap. I feel like it’s the entry action to do when it comes to Cap.As for the cap itself, the color it cute. The quality of sewing seems top notch. The adjustment clip is made of metal. The only thing I would say is that it arrived flater (less curve infront) than the picture, which is not a big deal, but to consider if you like the style.

I bought this hat because I needed a new trail cap. On the plus side: hat is very lightweight, and comfortable. Only the front 2 panels are "formed", the others are not, so they collapse into it for easy packing. The headband is great for wicking sweat and keeping it off your forehead, and the velcro band adjusts for a perfect fit. I have a pretty big head and this hat works for me, although I wish it was slightly bigger.on the downside: the material from this picks up sweat and oil from fingers and head like a magnet. it cleans fairly easily, but if you want it pristine you'll be cleaning it often. the front panels, if folded, will never be perfectly formed again, kind of like how when you fold paper you'll always see a line in it even once it's flattened. these ... MoreI bought this hat because I needed a new trail cap. Not sure if MEC or Patagonia did this, but to pay a premium to buy a hat made of recycled plastic, which comes wrapped in plastic, seems a little contradictory.overall though it's a decent hat and it' comfort makes it a keeper as a "beater" trail cap.

I chose this hat because it has less plastic and more cotton than other hats offered by Patagonia, and I picked the black color because I wear it for running, and the black colorway hides nasty sweat stains better / discolors less with use. I find the fit comfortable, and the crown has gotten more flexible with repeated wears, but I initially had concerns about it being too tall overall. The bill is long enough to give good shade over my whole face, although if there was a short-billed trail running version of this hat, I would definitely get one. Keep making cotton hats, Patagonia! I will come back for more!
