Adding RAM is not a universal nostrum for improving performance. It certainly can help and is better than being ram deprived. The main thing that helped inject some life into this old computer was upgrading from the HDD to an SSD with a new operating system install. I stuck in an r9-380 which was an upgrade from the video card that was doing service already. In order of importance for improving the computer I would say the most noticeable effect was from the SSD, the second most noticeable was from the new graphics card, and the third marginally noticeable effect was from the increased quantity and speed of the RAM.

This stuff is great I always get these to breath some life into ddr3 based machines. Last build I did with them was on a z77 Arock Extreme4. Had the ram overclocked to 2133 mhz and runs totally smooth no BSOD. As long as newegg is selling these kits for $50 or less ill keep coming back.

At the time of original purchase it was a very nice mid range gamer. And still to this day with a few upgrades (ram HDD GPU) it's still going strong. I bought this to repopulate the slots in my new Motherboard which was running 8 gb in four slots. Running 16 gb in two slots improved the performance of Windows 10 64 bit immediately. Apps that were causing crashes started behaving. Task Manager shows highest memory usage at 25 per cent. Before it was twice that.
Does what it should. Doubled my memory and runs flawless. Sent debit rebate card with instructions to activate. Card not found in their system. Cannot activate. Guess they got me .

I was thankful to find this RAM still available for my old desktop PC I've been trying to fix. It was just what I needed and functions great right out of the box. My only complaint is that the price is comparable to some modern DDR4 and even some DDR5 RAM.
Good and fast increase in functionality. Although we have the really slow Hughes net, it downloads at 7 kbps to around 45 kbps the computer can cache information that lets me do email from home. This product works great while Hughes net sucks. Don't get slow internet from them.
