This leave-on exfoliant exceeded my expectations!!I am someone who has sensitive skin, which becomes easily irritated by a lot of beauty products, mainly exfoliants. After using this I was expecting my skin to become red and oily, especially because of its non-rinse application. But I was pleasantly surprised.The exfoliant spread easily and is super lightweight. It evened out the redness around my T-zone and left behind a bright, healthy complexion.The price definitely classifies this as an investment, but I can't go back to physical exfoliants after using this!!

I was lucky enough to be able to try this already and I 100% love it. I've used PC bhas on and off for a while but this one is definitely my new favourite. Its gentle enough to not make my skin react but still does the job. I also love that it's gentle enough that I can add other actives to my routine without disrupting my barrier - which I have done in the past too many times trying to mix bha with retinol.It has a milky consistency and it doesn't leave my face sticky at all.Def top of my list for exfoliants now.

I'm a longtime Paula's Choice customer, in my mid-fifties, am frequently outdoors and have sensitive skin. I was surprised just how different and effective this new formulation is from the Calm !% BHA. I use all PC BHA exfoliants at different times, not all at once or any one more than twice a day. This one reminds me of the 2% BHA Lotion but it's even better. No redness, no irritation and the results are like what I'd expect from an AHA...soft skin, smoother textured skin, but without the irritation most AHAs give me. Lovely product. Will definitely repurchase.

Have in the past suffered from eczema as well as perioral dermatitis. My skin does not tolerate 2% bha solutions well so I had stopped using them for my clogged pores, blackheads & texture. Found this on the PC website & tried the trial size on a whim. I still cannot believe that with 3 uses my skin was very noticeably smoother & bright (glowing). Will definitely be ordering the full size.
I have used the 2% BHA for years now but this is my new favourite exfoliant from PC. It has a lovely milky consistency that does not irritate my skin or flare up any redness. It is still very effective at brightening my skin and managing breakouts whilst also having a more soothing, moisturising effect.
My old holy grail was the Paula's Choice 2% gel exfoliant but ever since I started using retinoids, my skin has been too sensitive to use that regularly. This exfoliant is exactly what I was looking for - something that is gentle yet still does a good job at keeping my skin looking smooth. It's pretty hydrating as well, I put this on damp skin before my moisturizer and I wake up with dewy glowing skin.
I wanted to deal with this privately but having tried unsuccessfully to do so since last Sunday , I am now writing this review. I used this product last Sunday having put nothing else on my skin.The reaction was instantaneous as my neck started stinging with a burning red rash. I will post photos. Days later my neck is still a mess.I have had a medical consult about it and am most unhappy at the lack of a reaction from Paula's choice until yesterday and even then they had not read my first email as they asked for my order number which had already been provided to them as well as asking other questions which I had already provided the information to. The customer service has been quite frankly disgraceful.
I have acne-prone skin. I'm in my late 40s. I have combo skin (oily on nose, chin, beard area; dry/sensitized skin on my forehead; normal for the rest). I used the prior formula for years and often thought, 'Hey, this product is never in the spotlight and it should be!"So, I was less-than-thrilled when I saw the new product with new marketing, new branding, and new, ever-growing price increases.Well, I am glad I shelled out the $$ for this product. The texture is so much better - where the prior one was more f a lotion texture, this new one is a gel-cream.It absolutely exfoliates - but results may take longer to get noticeable than, say PC 2% BHA Liquid.It's effective, it's pretty unique, it wins!
I love this so much! My skin is dry but sensitive and it unclogs my pores and exfoliates my skin whilst still protecting it and does not cause irritation like most do for me. I love that it is a leave on product so it's so quick to use and you don't have to rinse. I have noticed that my makeup applies a lot smoother too which is so difficult usually when you have dry skin!
I really, really love this. Honestly, it's like the perfect pairing when using tretinoin. Right now I'm using tretinoin 3 times a week and working it up, and using this on the remaining days. I notice that when the purging happens with the tretinoin, when I put this product on, it totally calms down and is bringing the pimples down. My texture of my skin is so much better and I feel like now I'm getting a lot less pimples in general.For me this works better then the 2% as it's much less irritating on my skin without irritating my barrier. I feel like it's helping my skin heal better. A couple months ago I tried working up the tretinoin and had a totally bad experience which is why I stopped but this is definitely working for me now!!!!!!
