The Paula Choice Clinical Niacinamide 20% Treatment uses vitamin B3 to help promote a more even, refined complexion while minimising the look of pores. Improve the look of pores and bumpy complexions with the Paula Choice Clinical Niacinamide 20% Treatment, a serum that works to create a more refined appearance. This serum uses a safe and effective concentration of niacinamide (vitamin B3), specifically chosen to help normalise pore function, working to improve the look of sagging skin and defending against damage from harmful UV light. Rich in vitamins, this serum is a step towards a smoother-looking complexion. For best results, apply just a few drops of the Paula Choice Clinical Niacinamide 20% Treatment once or twice daily after an everyday cleansing, toning and exfoliating regime. For night-time usage, layer the formula with other skincare treatment products as needed, followed by moisturiser. For daytime application, follow up with SPF 30 or greater.

The associate suggested Paula’s Choice Niacinamide 20% Treatment. This product, in conjunction with another product, has helped my make-up last longer throughout the day. However, the most noticeable change has been my pores. I am 49 and started to notice that the pores on either side of my nose were much more noticeable. I had never had this issue! After using Paula’s Choice, I don’t notice my pores and my skin feels smoother. It is so easy to use the dropper to apply 2-3 drops to my face neck. The product glides onto the skin and dries quickly. It leaves the skin with a soft, matte feel and works well with other skin care products layered on top. At a price of ~$39/.67 oz you may think it’s a bit pricey. However, you need so little of the product at each use (2-3 drops) that the product lasts. After 1 month I have not noticed a change in my fine lines and wrinkles. Nor have I noticed my post blemish mark fading. I do have medium olive skin tone and have yet to find a product that fades post blemish marks or dark spots on my skin. However, I will be adding in Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant to my regimen. Hopefully I will see additional benefits to my skin following that addition. I definitely recommend this product if you are concerned about the appearance of pores. #paulaschoice

I'm pretty new to the world of skincare, but one thing I do love are serums. I've been having a great time lately experimenting with all kinds of different kinds. One that I've really been loving is the Paula's Choice Niacinamide 20% Treatment. It's a brownish/clear unscented serum that has dramatically shrunk the appearance of my pores. It also helps with skin's elasticity, smooths bumps, and gets rid of excess oil. The first time that I used this serum I got amazing results! I have a serious problem with the size of the pores on my nose, and honestly after just using a few drops of this stuff the size of the pores there shrunk by a great deal! It was amazing! It also made my skin softer than any other product that I have ever used. Period. I'm being completely and totally honest too. I don't claim to be any kind of skincare guru or expert, these are just my experiences and opinions. It absorbed quickly and evenly into my skin, no problem. This product didn't feel sticky or tacky after application, and it also didn't leave my skin looking or feeling greasy or oily. What it is, is a highly concentrated, effective niacinamide serum that visibly minimizes stretched pores, smooths tenacious bumps, and addresses excess oil. For skincare concerns such as: dark spots, pores, and uneven texture. Lightweight gel formulation. Important Ingredients- Niacinamide (Vitamin B³ 20%): A first-ever strength that improves the look of tenacious pores and hard, clogged bumps. Vitamin C: Works with niacinamide to visibly brighten skin tone and refine rough texture. Meadowsweet Extract: Visibly combats loss of firmness that can cause pores to look lax or caved in. Free of parabens, formaldehydes, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, sulfates SLS SLES, and triclocarban. Gluten-free, and cruelty-free, which is very important to me. This product also comes in recyclable packaging, which is really nice. This expert-level serum utilizes a breakthrough concentration of 20% niacinamide to effectively penetrate the skin's surface and dramatically improve the look of sagging, stretched pores and stubborn bumps. It also targets blemish-causing congestion and damage for a smooth, soft appearance. In a consumer self-assessment when used twice daily for 4 weeks: 81% agreed it visibly improved skin's texture. This treatment really works like magic. I definitely recommend trying it and am excited to see my results as I continue using it!

Excellent smoothing serum, potent and effective

This is probably the strongest niacinamide treatment I have ever used, but it did not irritate me as I have been using niacinamide in higher concentrations for a while now, 10% and higher. If you are a total beginner to niacinamide, I would definitely start with a lower concentration and sort of work your way up, or mix this one into your moisturizer or with another serum Until you get used to it, because niacinamide can cause some people to flush. It’s not harmful but it can feel strange. Now on to the review. This is an instantly smoothing, potent treatment. I love that it contains Soothing Panthenol and licorice extract, and vitamin C for extra brightening power. I have not used this long enough to see dark spots fading, because that takes months. But in the short term, it definitely smooth texture and minimizes the appearance of pores. In fact, I put this directly on my tea zone before I do my make up, under my primer, and my makeup has never looked so good.

Good results on pores and brightening...

Although it can be used during the day, I much prefer night time use and what I did was to gradually build up usage, after starting with twice weekly. I think a lot of it will come down to how your skin reacts to such a high percentage of Niacinamide, but personally there was no irritation after that initial induction week so by week 2, I stepped up to using it nightly. It's now been 3 weeks in total and maybe I've just been lucky but I haven't experienced any kind of drying or irritation of any sort using this. Instead my skin seems to be loving it. My pores look refined - not in the way I'd necessarily hoped they would (in other words - vanish!) but in a subtle way when I look in the mirror and something looks different and I realize it's my pores not looking as ... MoreAlthough it can be used during the day, I much prefer night time use and what I did was to gradually build up usage, after starting with twice weekly. It definitely has a good brightening effect too and I must mention my skin has been much clearer - less acne and breakouts whilst using this. Unlike The Ordinary's Niacinamide 10%, I do like the texture of this one. It's not tacky at all, and it sinks in well. Pricey yes it is but as you use so very little (especially if you use only a few times a week, as many do), then this will last you a decent amount of time. For the most part the ingredients in here are fantastic and the kind of thing I would WANT to be putting on my skin!~ My Sephora Top 7 must-have list ~(My top 7 must-have beauty products of all time, focusing mainly on my purchases at Sephora)1. Nothing I've tried in the past has worked on my hyperpigmentation. I'd given up. I didn't even expect this serum to do anything about it; I bought it to tighten pores. It's done that, but it's also faded the discoloration to the point that it's not even noticeable anymore. Can confirm that this serum works to shrink stubborn little bumps, too. It's earned a permanent spot in my morning routine. Most people are fine with niacinamide, to the point that many (including my derm) will insist that if you're having a bad reaction, it must be to an ingredient other than the niacinamide. Eventually, I was able to reintroduce it very gradually and carefully. My advice would be to add niacinamide to your routine slowly - maybe start with something that contains a lot less than this serum does - and pay attention to how your skin feels when you combine it with other actives. As long as your skin will tolerate it, this product can deliver real results.

Holy Grail for orange peel skin - my skin is smooth now!

I bought Paula's books way back in the day before this website, and have read her reviews of other products, and have used Paula's Choice products for years. I like many of her products, but this is the first review I have felt compelled to write. Reason:This product had such a clear, dramatic, positive effect on my skin - it looks like I have whole new skin!I had large pores and those pores developed into orange peel skin and nothing else I used seemed to make a difference on the texture of my skin. I've even regularly tried Niacinamide 20% Treatment in the past however, I would just use a little bit every now and then, rotating with other skin care products.I noticed a very small difference and thought it might be the Niacinimide, so I decided to try using it more regularly. I started using it morning and night and VERY quickly (in a few weeks) my orange peel skin - which I thought was never going to go away, cleared up! It was completely gone! I could see my skin getting smoother every day. Now my skin looks smooth! I really never thought that would happen. It was SO nice to be able to see my skin clearly and even see my facial features clearly again - the orange peel texture had kind of obscured or made it hard for me to really see my face clearly.I'm on this website again because I ran out a few days ago and want to order some more. This morning I can see that there is just the start of that orange peel look on the cheek area right next to my nose - the area where it was the worst on my face. Luckily, I have confidence that when my new Niacinamide 20% Treatment comes in - it will go away again.Holy grail product!!!!!!THANK YOU!!!

Not Worth It and Don't Mix It
31 January 2022

I waited to give this product an honest chance before reviewing it. I have been using this serum for over a month now, and the cons definitely outweigh the pros. At first, my skin purged when using this serum. It's not surprising, but I didn't love getting four massive, deep pimples on the same day. It took almost two weeks to get rid of them. Some of the hyperpigmentation is still there too. Over time, I also learned you have to be very, very careful about what you mix this product with. I use other exfoliating products (AHA masks, vitamin C, Benzyol Peroxide, salicylic acid, etc.) Obvs, I'm not piling them on at the same time, but it's become difficult to use anything with this serum. The mild fragrance in my moisturizer stings now because of using this product. ... MoreI waited to give this product an honest chance before reviewing it. The mild fragrance in my moisturizer stings now because of using this product. To put it lightly: this Niacinimide 20% doesn't play well with others. On top of everything, the cost of this serum is extreme for such an underwhelming experience. It's true what derms say. "consistency over intensity". Naturium's 12% serum is available for less than half the price, and it can mingle with my other ingredients to support my skin. - To make a long story short, this serum isn't worth the money. It made things harder to support my skin with other useful ingredients/products, and the results I see after 5-6 weeks were not worth the trouble. My pores are pretty much the same, and it's made me more prone to breakouts due to irritation.

Product is beyond amazing
26 March 2023

When I ordered this product I honestly was skeptical but as reviews were so good, I went ahead with purchase. I have combination skin with some larger pores, cpl of red sun damage spots (on nose so very visible)-and add in being over 50/menopause ugh.Wow and wow is best I can sum this product up. In the morning I use a toner and then apply this prior to my other products. Within the first 2 days I was already noticing improvements. I've been using it for approx 3 weeks now (regret not taking before and after pics). My skin has a refreshed glow it hasn't had in years. The red spots on my nose have faded considerably (yippee!), and pore size has reduced to look normal in trouble areas (nose/cheeks). This product is truly amazing - I swear it's dropped 10 years off of ... MoreWhen I ordered this product I honestly was skeptical but as reviews were so good, I went ahead with purchase. This product does seem to work really well
23 April 2023

I have been using PC products for several years now and I really love the products and feel like they work well for my skin. I decided to use this product to supplement my use of the BHA 2% serum to try and tighten up my pores. I do think this product works. I used it about once or twice a week and did notice an improvement in the size of my pores; especially around my chin and mouth area which I where I need the most tightening. The biggest negative is the high price and the amount of product. There's just not much in the bottle and I only got but 10 applications out of it. Would I buy it again though? Yes, but I might try to use it only once a week.
