I picked this product simply just to want to try something new. And it turned out to be surprisingly great. Makes me feel like sometimes skincare is all about luck cos sometimes I spend hours studying a product and it is bad, and sometimes I spend one second to pick something and it turns out to be great.

1 star for the packaging, 5 stars for the product.One of the best sunscreens I've used due to the light satin-matte finish and SPF rating. This makes it nicer to use on a daily basis rather than most other greasy sunscreens.The packaging however is very poor and substandard for Paula's Choice or any manufacturer. After only a few months of use, the entire nozzle is breaking off. I've always kept it in the bathroom as well, so it's not like the bottle has been constantly knocked around in my bag which might've caused the breakage. Poor quality like this makes me think twice about buying again from Paula's Choice...

I also react to quite a lot of products and have to both of the CALM redness relief sunscreens (I must be allergic to a particular ingredient in them) but not this one!A little goes a long way with this. It's incredibly light weight and absorbs very quickly. Depending on the weather, I will sometimes need to wear a moisturiser underneath this SPF moisturiser because of my dry areas but in moderate weather, I feel fine with this all day. I also don't experience any tightness (by the end of the day) or flaking with it at all!

I am sensitive to sunscreens with combination, rosacea skin and find this product good. I have been patch tested at the hospital and some chemical screens make my eyes red and swollen and cause blisters, and conversely others that i can use are often greasy, stinky and superwhite.This PC lotion is light, didnt have a white residue and was in no way itchy. I wouldnt find it strong enough for Aussie direct sun protection at SPF15, but for daily general wear its good. My powder makeup stayed pretty good on top, except for my oily tzone where the powder bobbled a little 👍
While I love the super light wrinkle defense, I wanted to try this spf as it claims to be great for oily skin with a water-lignt texture. This is is awful for oily skin. It does not absorb, it does not have a satin-matte finish as claimed, it is not oil controlling or shine free, feels greasy and sits heavy on the skin. As time goes by it gets even more oiler on the face. This is probably good for dry skin.
I was looking for a fragrance-free alternative to my current Mecca SPF 50. However, this was not really what I expected. It is very runny and lightweight, which I love, but I think this is also the reason it made my skin feel very tight after application. It also has quite a strong sunscreen smell which lingers on the face (may be due to it building up in my beard?). It is also not matte as the description suggests. I would say it gives you a very glowy appearance and oiliness worsens during the day. The texture also seemed to exaggerate my imperfections/pores.FYI - this product is technically SPF 50. Australian regulations won't allow PC to call it SPF 50 due to it being a 'moisturiser'. However, it is listed as SPF 50 in the USA. It is the same product with new ... I have Combination skin with large pores, and always struggle to find a moisturiser or sunblock that doesn't irritate my skin, make me a shiny mess or block my pores. Just like cheaper brands, all it does is make my face oily, which causes my make-up to slide off my face within a couple hours. It is not matte, as claimed. Sadly, I don't even use it any more because I suspect it causes breakouts, and it just sits on the shelf as a waste of money. However, I tried the RESIST Super-Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 and feel it is the better product.

This has always been one of my favorite of Paula's products, and I have used it religiously for years with great results. But now that the SPF has gone from 50 to 15, I'm wary. I loved that that it had a high SPF. SPF 15 is better than nothing, but not much! Would Super light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 be a better option for me? I am 66 years old, with oily skin.
So I have been switching between the Skin Balancing and Extra Care Non-Greasy SPF's for the past 3 years and I decided to give this one a try due to the ingredient list and fluid texture. I have to say that the applicator was a pleasent surprise and there is basically zero wastage and no dried up product in the cap. This probably as close to shine free as you will get for an SPF and I have only notice positive changes to my skin since commencing use. I would consider switching back to the Skin Balancing SPF if they changed the packaging to match this product. I will also continue to purchase the Extra Care Non-Greasy SPF as this is water resistant and great for beach days and holidays. I would also like to know when the SPF rating labelling will be updated to ...
