Peaceable Kingdom - Board Game - Mermaid Island

I love playing this with my 3 and 6 year old girls. It is Co-op, working together to beat the sea witch to the island which makes it a lot of fun for everyone. It’s also quite a quick game so you can play over and over or just a quick single game yet the outcomes are always different.

Cooperative is the winner….

We have The Fairy Game and Mermaid Island for our 5 year old granddaughter. She loves playing these games. I had never heard of a cooperative game before but I love the concept. The players work together to beat the villain in the game. There isn’t one winner. The group wins if you can beat in this case the Sea Witch.

Fun & learning all at once

Our granddaughters adored playing this game over Christmas break. Indeed, we adults enjoyed playing the game with them & watching & listening to their game playing decisions. It's fun & a learning experience.

Fun cooperative game.

A fun cooperative game. My five year old enjoyed it and really liked the mermaid illustrations. Quality is high, the parts are sturdy. If you lose a piece contact customer service and they will send you a replacement free of charge--I've done this a few times with a few different games from this brand.

Great fun while learning

Bought this to play with 2 granddaughters, ages 3 1/2 and 5. It is great. They both love mermaids so were excited to play it. The 5 year old got it almost immediately that the object of the game was to get all 3 mermaids safely to the island and has become quite strategic in the use of the wands. The 3 1/2 year old is starting to understand it is a cooperative game. She still thinks she "wins" if she gets "her" mermaid to the island, but she is starting to get it. Highly recommend.

Not able to use very long

This game was enjoyed by our 4 year old. The older 3 girls5,7,and 8 were bored after one game. Disappointed in spinner , it broke after 3 uses. Adults watched and the girls had not mis used it.

Love this game, not only does it teach collaborative play, it also loans itself to imaginative reinventing. My daughter loves to play it as is, and also loves to come up with different ways to use it.

Perfect for my 2yo!

We absolutely love this game! My 2yo loves the mermaids. I love that she's practicing her counting, learning to associate counting with spaces and objects, and that we are spending time together. Sometimes the Sea Witch wins, which is a great way to practice good sportsmanship, among other things. Everyone has a blast!

Simple Yet Strategic!!!

Our three (almost four) year old loved playing this game as soon as we took it out of the box. She understood the rules and easily played with her mom and I. Our little love is into Mermaids and "good" Pirates so, this game is perfect. We strategize together and its fun. Cooperative games are great along with also learning good sportmanship while playing individually competitive games.

Wonderful fun game for all ages.

This is a wonderful game for any age child. Even a two-year-old can play because everyone works together toward the same goal so older children want to help the younger children. Very easy to play but older children can enjoy strategizing.
