Pros: Great device, hold camera (Panasonic G9) well when walking and stops that uncomfortably bouncing of your belly! Great that it’s compatible with manfrotto tripod.Cons: Expensive really, but we’ll made. Too a while to convince myself to get it but glad I did. Bite the bullet and go for it.

The build quality on this thing is second to none. It's sleep, secure, and intuitive.I hike often and otherwise carry a backpack along with my camera. I also have a toddler that I sometimes have to pickup and carry for distances. This makes exclusive use of a camera strap not ideal, and so the Capture Clip allows me to secure my camera and lens to my left-side backpack strap while I carry my toddler on my right side. I use the additional Pro Pad V2 which provides for a more stable base when using longer/heavier lenses (I found the Pro Pad V2 useful with just the camera itself).I can't recommend the Capture Clip enough.

I have been using my PD clip for my last two backpacking trips & its amazing. Came in looking brand new even though I believe I bought a refurbished one. (Couldnt tell the difference) However its made a huge difference while backpacking on trail. I normally just hang my camera on the camera strap around my neck while I hike. But it just bounced around & swings everywhere. With the PD clip Im able to just clip my cannon m50 right to my backpack strap & I cant hardly feel its there. It completely frees up your hands & eliminates the annoying swing! I was worried the clip on my backpack strap might rub me wrong or make my strap uncomfortable but you cant feel it at all! I have it right above my chest strap & it lies perfectly flat with no issues.

I have two of these clips, one on my backpack and the second on the PD propad. I highly recommend this item. It allows you quick and easy access to your camera for taking photos and provides secure capture of your camera body when you need to change lens. It is perfect for my Olympus OMD 10 system. The build quality is excellent. The QR plate works flawlessly with the PD camera straps.The only minor complaint I have is that the Capture Clip only works with a PD Quick Release plate. The PD QR plates are thinner than other standard ARCA QR plates. Still this is a must have accessory.
I don't like camera neck straps. This product allows you to securely attach it to a back pack shoulder strap or belt on pants and access your camera easily. It also has a safety lock if needed. I first came across this product about 10 years ago, but I forgot about buying it. I recently bought a new camera for the first time in 20 years and came across this again. It's definately worth it.
Great system for keeping your camera securely anchored while still accessible. I typically use these in combination with a neck strap while hiking to keep my camera locked to my side while moving.Also find that it gives me an extra level of security when shooting in crowded areas.
I have been a satisfied user of Capture v1 with Lens Changing Kit for 5 years. As an event photographer, it's put a lot of stress, I use it with two lenses at the same time (16-35mm & 50mm), yet it's never let me down. I switched to the v3 version due to normal wear and tear.Peak Design has made significant improvements to the product: became smaller, more compact. Replacing former plastic components with metal has made it even more durable. For me, it is the best alternative for a quick and safe replacement of three lenses!
Peak designs for my peak adventure! So stoked to get one of these for my outdoor work! Fit nice and tight on a thick backcountry ski backpack strap - held my 6D mark ii with the 24-105mm lens (a heavy camera/lens combo) and felt comfortable on a 4,000ft accent+decent of Mt Hood. I took the camera on and off the fixture like 50 times in that time and each time it went back on secure and kept me confident even as I skied down!
I got this item after a lot of dithering about whether I really needed it or if there were other items out there, but I finally got it and couldn't be more pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes to hike with their camera. In the past I've used a neck strap but that almost inevitably begins to get tiresome as you have to also hold the camera from swinging around with one hand.
I was on the fence about spending the money on such a small clip, not knowing how much I'd use it. However, it's quickly becoming one of my favorite accessories. When combined with the right plate, I can seamlessly move from this to my tripod. Big plus. I really like how easily I can clip/unclip my camera to this. It's very secure and keeps the camera incredibly accessible. This is my new go-to solution for hiking and to use with larger lenses that make my normal camera strap a little uncomfortable to wear for too long.
