Peak Design Cuff Camera Strap, Coyote

I love this Peak Design Cuff! It is so easy to put on and take out of the anchor. The strap also feels really comfortable around my wrist. I have brought it out for a photo session and I love how safe it feels.One thing to note though. If your wrist is small, you might not be able to wear the strap like a bracelet. I moved the magnet and it still doesn't sit right on my small wrist. It's okay for me since I am not going to wear it as a bracelet anyway.Colour looks like black here but it's navy blue in real life. Tough to capture it on my camera.

Better than expected

Their latest version connects much easier than their first product. If I am doing more shooting than walking, I prefer a wrist strap. If I am only talking a few photos, I use the neck strap. In both cases easy interchangeability is important.

Easy to Use Strap

The strap is easy to use, folds up small enough to fit in a small compact camera bag or pocket and slim enough on the wrist to be very comfortable. I feel it is strong enough to hold a reasonably heavy DSLR camera body and lens if dropped. I have tested this sussefully with me vlog set up of a GoPro, Zoom Audio recorder and GoPro mic adapter on a gimbal. Best of all it looks good! Yes looking good matters when you are a tourist or a professional photographer because a wrist strap that looks like it is an old backpack strap is so yesterday and this strap looks great.

Great wristband

The Cuff is a fantastic wristband. With the Peak Design Anchors, it's very easy to quickly remove the Cuff if you don't need it or if you want to attach a Peak Design strap. The Cuff also protects your camera if you happen to drop it. The loop tightens on the wrist when the camera is dropped, protecting it from a nasty fall on the ground. The downside of this system is that getting your hand out of the wrist sometimes means a little bit of pulling, which tightens it. Still, just a minor flaw in an otherwise great product. Did I say it's super compact as well? I'm using it a lot more than a neck strap.

Nice Strap But Has a Flaw

I'll start off by saying this is a nice camera strap. However, like most Peak Design products, it looks cool, but falls short on promise in terms of useful features. One of the reasons I purchased this was the ability to wear it as a wrist band when I'm not shooting. I thought that was an innovative feature that differentiated this strap from others I was looking at. It also helped justify the higher cost for a nylon strap.Well, sadly, it doesn't work. The strap tends to loosen while on the wrist and unfortunately Peak Design used a magnet that isn't strong enough to hold the band in place when that happens (even though I positioned it per the instructions). But, so can a lot of other straps. If you're just looking for an attractive camera strap, you're not planning on using the wrist band feature, and willing to pay the premium that Peak Design demands for their products then I recommend this strap. Otherwise, I'd say some money and look elsewhere.

Simply perfect

Wearing the Peak Design Cuff is an experience too comfortable to ignore. The item guarantees safety and comfort without losing style. I would definitely recommend it to my colleagues.

I bought this to secure my phone (really for its camera) to my wrist on backcountry trail runs, which I've done for well, a long time ; ) After many hundreds of miles of use, this wrist strap remains like new despite all the sweat and grime it receives. I soap it up every so often.The strap is a tough and durable weave and the mating part that loops around the phone case is seems indestructible and attaches in place very securely. The design overall is flawless. That is a magnet embedded into the strap that helps secure it around your wrist when not in use.
