Sensitive equipment needs protection, and since 1976 the answer has been the Pelican Protector Case. These cases are designed rugged, and travel the harshest environments on earth. Against the extreme cold of the artic or the heat of battle, Pelican cases have survived. Basically bulletproof, inexpensive, and a Zippo warranty, what's not to love? I got this case to keep my Olympus EPL6, spare batteries, and a few extra lenses. This it does perfectly. The handle works and folds down unobtrusively, the latches engage in a positive and reassuring manner, and the build quality is what you would expect from a Pelican product, that is to say, remarkable. That brings me to the only thing I don't like about this product; the pick and pluck foam. Most video and photo professionals I know don't use the foam for long. It tends to break up and be a lot more irritating than it's worth to deal with. You're better off having someone make a hot-wire cut foam insert if you intend too put anything too expensive or delicate in this case, but that is ... MoreBasically bulletproof, inexpensive, and a Zippo warranty, what's not to love? You're better off having someone make a hot-wire cut foam insert if you intend too put anything too expensive or delicate in this case, but that is a lot of work for a $20 case. For most applications, the foam works fine. Just be careful setting it up, and don't rush. But don't expect to be able to take things in and out of the case frequently and not see it shed small squares of foam. Overall, this product is exactly what anybody would ever want from a small portable, waterproof, buoyant, and generally indescribable case. The bright orange helps it stand out in a sea of black cases on set, and helps you keep track of it a lot better, I've found.

Solid little tote. I use one everyday at work for a Nikon camera, it gets dropped and tossed constantly and shows no damage.Purchased this one for my Garmin Rino 755T, spare rechargeable battery, extra AA batteries, and charging cord. All those items fit well. Highly recommend this thing.

First off Pelican is top of the line quality in my opinion. My use for the case I bought is unusual. It's for carrying a handgun on both my boat and jet ski. I sometimes go to dangerous places. But I have another Pelican for my camera worth thousands. That case has been in the water, in extreme heat and beyond banged around. The camera is just fine. The air relief valve for altitude and temperature changes (I guess) really works. The instructions give you tips and ideas you won't find with many others products.

I have two of these cases - one in black and one in gray - which I use for my smaller mirrorless bodies and lenses. In one case, I fit my Fujifilm X-E4 along with three small lenses and the camera's charging cable and USB-C headphone adapter, all with foam dividing each item. In the other case I've got my Sony a6300, an EF to E mount adapter, charger, two spare batteries, and room for the USB cable or some SD cards depending how I pack it, all with foam dividing the sections. I already had the foam for the second case, so the option to buy one without the foam helps my wallet and the planet just a bit. If your gear will fit inside allowing room for padding where needed, these small Pelican cases are a great option to go with.
Awesome case! Pluckable foam makes molding the foam to the shape of your item a breeze. The latches are very sturdy and it feels like it’s well built… which Pelicans are. Great price from Sportsman’s, one of the lowest for an 1150, and free shipping too! Thanks SW!
I have owned and still own many many Pelican cases. I mainly use them for my photography gear. However most of them are large heavy and cumbersome. Which is fine for carrying a large amount of gear. However, what I really wanted now was a new case that was as small as possible but still able to fit my camera with a lens attached and maybe a coupe small accessories. Luckily for me this one turned out to be a perfect fit for a Canon EOS RP. Now to be fair, I did end up removing the bottom layer of foam. It did actually fit with in in there, but it was a very tight. Overall I am thrilled with this case and cant wait to go on some adventures with my camera in tow.
I have two sets of power tool batteries but only had one case. I bought this one to be able to keep them separate between charging and not keep swapping with a single case. I do worry about dropping, getting them wet, or having other issues with Lithium-Ion batteries. The quality and protection of a case like this gives me exactly what I need to move them around without worrying about the contents. Just in time for when I start using my outdoor tools the most.
I bought this as a transport case for a single 3.5 hard drive. The case is nice and would be well suited to that use, but the foam that came with it is not.The foam is in 3 layers. Bottom to top you have a 1/2 thick piece of solid foam, a 2 1/2 thick piece of foam with the central part divided into 1/2 squares that can be pulled out to make cavities, and a 1/2 thick piece in the lid to top it all off.The problem is that in that center piece of foam, the squares are partially cut through the entire thickness of the foam. So you can make cavities of any size of shape, but only cavities 2 1/2 deep. This is not at all suited for a hard drive that is 1 thick. Rather than being cushioned, the drive in a 2 1/2 deep cavity would have lots of room to rattle around. If ... MoreI bought this as a transport case for a single 3.5 hard drive. But it isn't layered.
Picture Notes: pictures with three cases are the 1150, iM2050, 1400 from smallest to largest. Review: I bought this case ever hopeful that although the dimensions didn't look quite like they'd get the job done, maybe, just maybe, my A9 with tiny 35/2.8 lens would fit in it so I could safely place it in a backpack while skiing. Unfortunately no way no how. The top of the A9 is at a height even squishing won't overcome. It's also just slightly too tight to take the lens off and place them side by side while still having adequate padding. The case is strong as heck though, so if you're comfortable with just relying on the case's own impact resistance without adding in the foam, you can successfully get an A9 and 35/2.8 side by side, and they'd still be protected in the ... MorePicture Notes: pictures with three cases are the 1150, iM2050, 1400 from smallest to largest. I ended up going with the iM2050 for this project instead. It's larger than I wanted, but unfortunately Pelican has no case in between the 1150 and iM2050 that is simply a taller version of the 1150, which is what would have been ideal. Pelican, if you're reading this, please make me an 1155 that adds about an inch to the height and does not change width/depth. :-)
The case is slightly smaller internally than the measurements suggest. I bought this case because it was listed as being within the limits of my camera's specs to be able to fit both camera and lens connected, this turned out to not be the case (no pun intended). I was forced to separate the camera and lens, and it made for a slightly time consuming way to take photos while on my recent river trip. Because of this, I didn't take nearly as many photos as I would have liked, and it made me question why I even brought the camera along in the first place. The case did exactly what it was supposed to do though, so for that reason I cannot complain, and the only reason for the 4 star instead of the 5 was because of the internal measurements being slightly off.
