Grabbed one of these for my extreme to keep it safe from water. This case is extremely durable. I don't see how anything can hurt my phone while it's inside. Thanks to Apollo for recommending it. It is exactly what I needed!

Picked up one of these for when I'm storing and transporting my Extreme sat phone. The Extreme is very rugged but I was worried about water so just in case I keep my phone inside one of these just to be safe. These cases feel indestructible, I'm very happy with it. I don't see anything happening to my phone at all when my phone is inside one of these.

Really, really love these cases. They're so durable, even waterproof which is my favorite feature. When I take my phone out at the cabin or when I'm out on hunting trips, having it out for long periods of time doesn't worry me too much because I have an extreme which is engineered to take a beating. But when I have my phone stored just in case there is a flood or anything I like having a very good case to keep my phone in. Very high quality, extremely durable case!

For anyone wanting to use this case to secure firearms while traveling, don't hesitate! Check out the pictures, I have a Glock 17 with magazine inserted, box of defensive ammo, flashlight and a 21 round Magpul PMAG fit tightly inside. But wait, there's still room for another gun! The contents I have only take up about half of the depth of this box. You can fit another pistol or similar layout underneath what I have pictured and separate it with a thin layer of foam. You'll have to get creative and find some thin foam that isn't included in this box but it's certainly doable in a way that won't have the guns scratching against each other. Based on another review, I went for the ABUS 64TI/30 2-PACK locks to secure the outside. Based on another review, I went for the ABUS 64TI/30 2-PACK locks to secure the outside. While they're only 3/16", they're very well made and leave an incredibly small amount of wiggle room on the shackle. This will be what I use to fly with and I feel it's a very secure setup. Sure, someone can break the locks or cut around the plastic but this kind of setup is just a deterrent, not a $2,000 safe.
In the summer I enjoy getting out on the water. If I don't go swimming once or twice a week I become irritable and feel off. I have access to the Lake Champlain and love to get out there at sunset and sunrise to shoot or anytime really. I'm asked how I get the lake shots I get and there is no real secret or technical trick. I have a PWC (Personal Water Craft) with a big water proof compartment. I also place my gear in a Pelican 1200 water proof floatable case. It fits right in the PWC compartment. If the PWC flips and the compartment does open, the case will float. Also if the PWC sinks and the camera/case stays in the compartment it should be safe up to a certain depth. However there is no protection to my camera while I'm shooting. The other thing is you have to have a steady hand because you are always moving. I guess timing is everything out there, to get a straight shot you have focus on the horizon. The PWC is also easy to launch with one person. I can put it in an out of the water within a few minutes solo. Ease of putting a PWC in quickly helps you get the shot. The best part about getting out on a lake or ocean is it also feels like a quick vacation from reality. A vacation filled with beautiful locations and skies that are forever changing. I never see the same sky twice out there and it never gets old. Case: http://www.pelicancases.com/Pelican-1200-P77.aspx PWC: http://www.ericfitzgeraldphotography.com/p265249365/h7b47ea44#h7b47ea44
B&H Photo online ordering is amazing! The website is easy to use, great prices, and fast shipping! This awesome Pelican 1200 case was shipped in record time, excellent condition, and low cost! This order and product is rated an A+++ in my book! Thank you!
This is a great little Pelican case that we use in conjunction with a slightly larger one for canoeing and rafting or any other outdoor activity where we want to keep our cameras and electronics safe and dry. They recently spent 2 weeks canoeing in the Yukon with us and performed perfectly as expected. We have owned other Pelican cases in the past and we have never had one fail us. They are a little heavy and bulky but also take a beating while protecting their contents. Finding the right size case can be a little challenging. You need to have a pretty good idea of what you want to carry in each one so as to select a proper size. Being used for things like canoe trips, they can take up a lot of space, so you want to try and figure out what it will be used to carry ... MoreThis is a great little Pelican case that we use in conjunction with a slightly larger one for canoeing and rafting or any other outdoor activity where we want to keep our cameras and electronics safe and dry. I very rarely leave 5 stars for anything. Pelican cases earn this rating. Been using them for over 15 yrs. I have a dozen or so in various sizes/colors and 4 different sized coolers. Every single one is rock solid and has never caused a problem or disappointed me in any way. This 1200 model case is no different. Perfect for keeping our valuables (phones, keys, BT speaker, Go Pro) secure at the beach/lake when we want to wonder around or take a dip. Pair this with a short steel cable and some luggage locks and attach to your cooler or beach cart so no one can easily run off with it. I will always buy Pelican cases when the need arises. If you want the best case on the market then look no further.
I purchased this Pelican to protect my camera on a 7 day early October raft trip down the Middle Fork of the Salmon. On day 7 I flipped my raft in a Class IV rapid. My boat floated down the river upside down for about 15 to 20 minutes before we could flip it over. The Pelican was strapped to my raft but underwater this entire time. I said ‘well, let’s see whether the Pelican did its job.’ I opened it up and the inside of the Pelican and my camera were completely dry. Very pleased with this product.
This case is big, its bulky, and IT. IS. WATERPROOF. I bought this for a nice camera and all the accessories I usually take with it (3 lenses, 2 spare batteries, removable flash, removable viewfinder, spare sd cards in a case, and lens cleaning kit), and everything fits fine. I love the pull apart foam, as you can pull it out in small squares, at different depths if necessary, and even replace it if you messed up. My camera and equipment is safe and secure, and although I have never thrown it off a building, I feel like it would most likely survive the fall. I have had this is torrential storms, on rafting trips, and have even had it free floating in the river with me on several occasions, and the inside has never been dry. I have had this is torrential storms, on rafting trips, and have even had it free floating in the river with me on several occasions, and the inside has never been dry. One thing I will recommend however, is to get some of those silica packets, and keep them inside the case, because since it is so waterproof, if you put something in a little damp, the dampness will never leave. This is a recommendation from the 'instruction book' that comes with this case. I know the case is a little expensive, but this is definitely the best choice if you want something that will protect your equipment from dust, water, and even impact. There is also a small hole for a lock on it, and then handle is a nice feature. The handle folds down into the case for storage and so it takes up less room in a bag, but feels firm when you use it to carry the case.
