All Pelican, Errday. Seriously though, Pelican makes the very best products out there and this is no different. I use this case as a bomb-proof humidor that just doesn't need much maintenance. I like cigars, but I'm simply not interested in working for the perfect smoke. Rather than the typical cedar box that doesn't work so well, my rig is as follows: 1x Pelican 1500 2x Spanish Cedar Cigar Tray, Compatible with Display 5 or the Display 7 Cigar Humidor Models, by Quality Importers 4x Boveda 62% 60g pouches (with 4 extra to cycle in as first 4 are being recharged) 1x Analog Hygrometer by Western Humidor Lots of cigars Stays proper for a good 2 months between recharges with perfectly humid cigars every time.

There are enough videos on youtube showing the durability of these cases. They shoot them with bird shot, burn them, throw them off roofs and cliffs, and sink them underwater. Spending $ on this case to protect almost $2K worth of gear was a no-brainer. I recently started self-filming my duck and deer hunts. This case is perfect for transporting my gear up the river. I do not have to worry about adverse weather conditions affecting my equipment. I am looking forward to buying a case for my rifle in the future. I understand they must fit tight in order to retain its waterproof integrity. I have no trouble operating them but if you have real small hands and/or weak wrists you may find it difficult. If so I would recommend checking the latches on one in person before ordering. All in all I would defiantly recommend this case and I will be buying more in the future. Attached are pictures of my case loaded and the gear that goes in it. Even have enough room left over for a shotgun mic. Hope this review helps.... God Bless!!

Case it's great. It's one added to my already large collection of pelican cases. Thus USA the first I bought with foam, and I'll never do so again. The foam is woefully too soft for a laptop case, I used it to travel to the artic ocean in Alaska. Upon arrival the foam had already collapsed enough to no longer have encapsulation of the electronics inside. Pin the return trip the electronics jostled around inside the case due to the collapsed foam and I resorted to using socks to make up the difference. The weight of a mid sized laptop shouldn't be too much for foam that needs to be preserved. Instead I'll resort to another more dense foam, or a rigid foam cut to shape

Easy to cut the foam. Feels ajustable, nothing feel like is going to move when you close the case. The lockers are truly secure and have enough space on the borders to protect the equipment against the shocks/falls or even water pressure.

I bought this case to house my Nikon camera gear for whitewater rafting trips. There is virtually no other way to protect your gear on a whitewater raft than with this case and its the only way I would ever trust that much gear in any box. Here is what I was able to fit in this case with adequate padding: (See my customer uploaded image) - Nikon D7100 w/35mm 1.8 lens with hood - Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 lens with hood - Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 lens with hood - Nikon SB-910 Speedlight flash - Remote flash transmitter/receiver - Flash diffusers - Battery charger This case has housed all of that gear on different rafts for over 21 days getting splashed constantly on Class III-IV rivers without any leakage. The only incident I had was when the case was strapped low in the boat and got completely submerged under about two feet of water for about 10 seconds as we went through a very large rapid. Since the case was strapped down it was submerged entirely the whole time until the boat drained out. When I opened the case there was just a hint of water that had entered the case through the seal on one side but it didn't get anywhere near my gear and everything else remained dry. Since then I no longer strap the case to the floor, but I would trust it to keep my gear dry still even if I did. I use this case on or off the boat since it keeps my gear very secure and I don't have to worry about being super careful with it. Definitely recommended if you are a serious photographer or need a serious case for serious conditions.

It's a well made substantial case for sure. You can read all the positive reviews elsewhwere. This is my review of what is, for me, a significant issue. The latches work WAYYYY too hard. I have arthritis in my hands and shoulders, and elsewhere if you want to know the whole truth. These latches are ridiculously hard to open and close. The case is exactly the size I need so I plan to keep it, but be aware that the latches are NOT for everybody.

What can I say that’s not been said before.......I don’t know of any stronger container for my gear. The dividers are great because you can change the setup at will. Presently have a 5div with plate, 24-70L, two speed lights, two extra camera batteries, 12 AA’s in cases, AA charger, camera charger, diffusers for flash, CF wallet, and a ballhead (Markins Q) in this case. It fits easily. The case nicely fits under the airplane seat on 3 different flights so far. And (although I don’t recommend this), it fell from a chair at a table but the gear within came out unscathed. So what’s the downside? It is heavy, but that’s what this type of protection entails. FWIW, a friend has a knock-off of this product. While it initially seemed like a great idea, his case “airlocked” after the first flight requiring him to pry it open because the knockoff equilization valve failed. Conclusion: Pelican (and a few other very reputable brands) is costly but worth it for me.

Pelican is still #1. Rugged mil-spec quality!

We have been buying these incredible Pelican cases for almost a decade now. We use them for tool cases, and small parts cases. The only thing on these cases that eventually wears out are the O-rings, which takes several years at a minimum to fail. And, the lid latches which become brittle and break in the same time frame as the O-rings. Please make sure that you always push down on the lid when opening the latches! Good news is that Pelican customer service will replace and ship the replacement latches for free. Call Pelican direct for replacement latches. B&H Photo is one of the finest vendors in the business today with very competitive pricing, and free shipping seals the deal!

Really happy with this purchase. Recommend laying out the foam with a marker (lots of YouTube videos that show best way to do this) and then CAREFULLY cut using a long knife - I used a 12" serrated bread knife. Needed to put foam back into the holes to take up space so I wouldn't gate any up/down movement so I sliced the newly removed foam in half using the knife and it was a challenge with all the small pieces that wanted to disconnect - take your time and be careful. Videos recommend spraying the foam with Plasti-Dip so the foam keeps it 'edge' and doesn't wear away - I have not done that yet but will if it starts to wear the sponge. Rugged Case for Shipping and Field Use
8 February 2019

I purchased the Pelican 1504 case specifically for a Sky Watcher 102 mm Maksutov telescope and accessories. I was able to use the included partitions effectively. Of course, the partitions can be configured for other uses as well, and are much more space-efficient than plucked or cut foam sections. The 1504 is easily within airline carry-on dimensions, but is durable enough for checked baggage as well, even with fragile contents like a telescope or camera gear. If space is a premium, Pelican has other divider kits which are more easily customized.
