For a video journalist, the Pelican 1615 Air is a great piece of equipment. The case makes it easy to store my equipment, while keeping me mobile enough to accept last-minute, on-the-run assignments. Each case is a self-contained unit of equipment that makes it easier for me to do my job.

As with any pelican case, it's awesome. I mean, there isn't much more you can say about them.The updated air version is great, less weight and I don't see any sacrifice in protection unless you run over it with a tank.My only gripe is that I am using this for 3 Profoto B1X style flash heads and it doesn't come with enough of the long velcro padded strips to separate them from front to back. If you have more small items its perfect, but I really don't want to buy another whole divider set in order to get one strip of the padding. So I had to use some left over I had in another camera bag, which is pretty annoying after paying so much for this case.All in all, its a great product as always. Would definitely recommend it!

I recently purchased both this 1615 and the pelican 1535 Air. I love them both. I have to say the 1535 although I loved it and I measured the best I could, it feels like it’s the size I wanted or smaller then expected “although I love it, and that’s on me”. I only mention that because I measured and planned for this case, and it feels bigger then expected and you really see the benefits of going with the Air pelicans on the big cases like this. I ordered this with the yellow padding, I haven’t put it through it’s paces but after opening and setting up, I immediately felt glad I spent a little more on the Air and yellow padding it’s amazing. If you have a few extra bucks spend it here. Make your life easy and get the pelican.

Instead of lugging 5 separate cases for the flash heads, I wanted to consolidate them into one case.I love the yellow padding since it's easier to find black electronic gear. If you have at least 5 strobes of similar size, this can fit all the strobes and the included accessories with room to spare. I can carry the case, but the wheels really help. If you make money on your gigs, this is worth the investment.
I'm doing all kinds of things to accommodate my aging back, and this puppy has just earned its home.This so much lighter than a regular Pelican case. Yeah, I know you can read the specs and figure that out, but really, this case is light. The dividers are standard pelican quality, and I like the yellow. They also include 3 retainer straps, which is nice. The latching mechanism appears to be the same. I wish all Pelican wheels were bigger. The texture of the case shell feels smoother and thinner than a 'regular' Pelican.Pelican gives a lifetime guarantee on the case, so I guess it's tough. I'm so happy to have this case. I am an amateur photographer with probably intermediate skills.

The 1615 currently sits 22 lenses (including our current 600mm zoom), a Joby Gorillapod Focus with their Ballhead X (another highly recommended product), and a fair amount of extras. It tends to pack two banner type table cloths for the shows, as well... It's practically a gear closet. The Air cases are as advertised: built solid with a significantly lighter weight. And I do mean significant. The difference in weight has obviously made not just shipping easier but also checking the gear in at the airport. This product exceeded my expectations. Very happy with purchase. I had to make a last minute decision whether or not I wanted the foam interior or the padded dividers. After consulting the sales representative, he recommended I go with the padded dividers. I was very glad that I went with his advice. I was very impressed with overall quality of my new case.
This is deep and holds all three of my dslrs and lenses. I also purchased a lid organizer that completes the project. Not nearly as heavy as the original pelican cases.
This is a big case with a lot of room for my video lighting equipment. I bought this with the yellow divider set and have been really impressed with the design. I have some older Pelican cases, but they have improved the divider set since I purchased the other ones. The dividers are very sturdy, the sizes are well thought through, and I'm able to configure things to be just right for my lighting gear. The wheels makes it easy to transport and since it's a Pelican Air case, the weight is very reasonable as well. I'm very happy with this purchase and am glad I invested in the padded divider set too!
