The waterproof 1637AirNF Wheeled Hard Case in silver from Pelican is a crushproof hard case made from lightweight HPX2 polymer that will protect and store sensitive gear. The case secures with an updated push-button latching system that uses compressive force to tightly clamp the case shut on three sides. This edition of the 1637Air comes lined but without foam or other inserts, allowing you the freedom to completely customize the large 23.4 x 17.6 x 13.3" interior to your specific needs and to your specific gear. Carry your case using one or more of the three overmolded handles or if it's too heavy, extend the pull handle and tow it behind you on its two low-profile, quiet-running wheels. Your case is made of a super-light proprietary HPX2 polymer with honeycomb structural elements, which is up to 40% lighter than most other Pelican polymers. Case design features include an O-ring that seals it to an IP67-rating to make it dust and waterproof, dual 5/16" (8mm) diameter stainless steel reinforced padlock holes, and a pressure relief valve. This valve regulates the internal pressure, keeping your gear and the case from getting crushed and allowing you to open the case without having to break a tough pressurized seal that may develop. For easy identification, there's a polycarbonate card holder on the front of the case.

I fly every week, and this case is great. I can fit all of my stuff in it and TAS can't hurt it. In fact I think that they take it as a challenge. It has made seven trips so far and is just showing some scratches.

Great case that holds a lot. Recommend for any variety of things. Can be used with foam inserts to protect big lights or get dividers to carry an departments worth of gear.

I've gone from a re-usable shopping bag to this!I haven't seen any photos that showed a professional and safe way to transport expensive PTZ Canon CR-N500 cameras to each live stream gig.Based on the measurements for two cameras, I settled on this since my other cases are Pelican Air. In the photos you'll see me testing the different orientations. I decided logo up and lens rotated to the side since I didn't want to immediately expose the glass.I watched a few tutorials and tips on how to pluck on YouTube and I will also try spraying this with Plastidip to make the foam last longer.I can't consider this a review, but based on my years of use of my other Pelican cases, I feel this will last quite awhile. I just wanted to share pics of this setup in case ... MoreI've gone from a re-usable shopping bag to this!I haven't seen any photos that showed a professional and safe way to transport expensive PTZ Canon CR-N500 cameras to each live stream gig.Based on the measurements for two cameras, I settled on this since my other cases are Pelican Air. I considered an inexpensive light stand / light roller, but I wanted a hard case.

I own many pelican cases, the Air cases are much lighter and the size works well for my equipment.
This is the third case that we got. We have been using this model and brand for several years, no issues found yet. Just minor scratchings inflicted during flights. It will be great to have more accessories to it, such tools compartments. Or individual boxes to place spare parts.
These new Pelican Air cases are a big improvement over their old ones. Sometimes they are the difference between having to pay overweight charges with the same amount of equipment as before.
Very well made and strong box. The box itself is rather surprisingly light despite looking extremely strong.
This is my 4th Pelican Case purchase and I am beyond pleased with them all. I feel confident that my camera and audio gear is protected no matter where I am. They are comfortable to carry and feel like they can take a beating! If I just HAD to complain about anything it would be the inability to easily reconfigure the foam if you wanted to try something different or if you misjudged the first time. But with some careful planning and some patience, this system works just fine.
I've been a cinematographer for 38 years. I travel a lot. Cases are very important to me. This case, which I bought to house my Sony PXW-FX9 was perfect for my needs. It houses my camera, lens, viewfinder, and zoom handle with the extension perfectly. I'm extremely pleased with this product. I've never had a Pelican case that didn't meet my expectations, and this one is no different.
I own already three Pelican cases, smaller then these ones, and heavy duty style, before Pelican releases these Air cases.I was impressed when these two cases were delivered here: size, sturdiness, design and certainly durability (time will tell but I would be surprised).I warmly recommend these cases; however, even lightweight with this Air series, once filled with optics and professional gear, they may end up being quite heavy as storage volume is HUGE!Cases were delivered here in Qatar in perfect shape (thank you B&H for picking DHL Express); in the box, the foam accessories to fill the lid and the bottom of the case (to make it perfectly flat for the divided sets I purchases separately).
