Pelikan M800 Fountain Pen Green Demonstrator Special Edition

Great service and shipping. I had been given a local quote for the Pelikan M800 that was astronomical and thought that owning this pen was out of reach. Upon coming across Zafpens and doing a little reasearch, I ordered my Pen with confidence. From ordering to receiving everything was great, with some nice personal touches included that you never see anymore. I'm very happy with my pen and will be ordering from them again.

Great pen, fabulous smooth Schmit nib.\nSimilar to a Pelikan style, but at an affordable price. Chinese pens are really good these days, I'm really impressed! I don't impress easily, I design watches for a living, so very fussy.\n\nConsidering it came direct from China it arrived very quickly! Seller added a free gift to, nice touch!\nIf one is into fountain pens, the Admok M800 is worth considering.

I highly recommend this seller, he is most helpful and communicative. Packaging was perfect and the item was well protected. The seller kindly joined a greatly appreciated gift. One of the best sellers on Etsy for FP’s and nibs.

I am very satisfied with this pen. It is large enough such that I doubt I would ever get an M1000. If I had it to do over again I would have ordered a fine nib. The medium is to broad for my style of writing. Is it a good value for the money? That is up to the individual, since everyone's situation is different.

This is a fountain pen classic but a few things that you have to be aware of. Pelikan does not have to best QC when it comes to nibs, and whether you have any issues with either tine alignment, or nib size, is your luck of the draw.I have bought Pelikan pens from brick and mortar stores, and you often have to try a few to get the right nib size (notwithstanding that they are all marked the same). You also need to size up on their nibs. I write with a Western M nib and for Pelikan I usually end up with either EF or F for the same thickness. Needless to say, B nibs are real ink gushers.Thankfully for me, my Drop worked great out of the box.

My Just Reward

I bought this pen to replace my old M400 which I purchased fifteen years ago. The 400 has been, and is a magnificent instrument but I always felt that it was not ideally suited for my hand. So, I finally obtained the pen that I should have had all these years. The M800 is everything I knew I needed and then some. With the broad nib it writes with a silky smoothness and it fits my hand perfectly. I absolutely love it.The good news is that I am going to gift my old M400 to my 30-year-old daughter who I know will absolutely love it as well. So it stays in the family; a classic win-win situation. This M800 is the perfect companion to the 60-year-old Montblanc Meisterstück that I received from my dad when he passed fifteen years ago. Pelikan M800 Burnt Orange

Like all Pelikan 800s this is a great pen. I got the extra fine nib and am quite happy with it. I chose the EF as Pelikan nibs can fall on the wide side. The nib is smooth and wet. Not crazy wet, but certainly on the wet side. I was surprised to find the Burnt Orange as it was an LE seven or eight years ago (missed it that go round). The pen will work well for beginners, but price will probably move it toward the advanced user.

Purchased with a XF nib.

I would say the nib lays down a Euro Fine. The build quality was better than I thought it would be, (Based on Feel Only.) it "feels" like the same weight and texture of a Leonardo Momento Zero I have the Prugna but the grip section is better on the M800, the gold plating on the trim is also better on the M800. I like contrasting colors of black/red, black/orange in general. And this pen with the gold appointments with the red stripes on the body and the black on the cap and piston knob is what made me want this pen based on looks alone, as I prefer to write with Japanese xf / f sized nibs. The M800 is one of my favorite pens to write with. Value: I am putting a Medium value as wile yes, I like everything about this pen, I could have gotten the M800 cheaper buying ... MoreI would say the nib lays down a Euro Fine. Review of Pelikan Souverän M800 Black Fountain Pen

Silky smooth nib. Great instrument. Dependable even after several months of not using. Open the cap and it writes as if it was last used yesterday
