Pelikan P200 Cartridge System Fountain Pen Black Extra-Fine

One of the best Pelikan fountain pens I own. I am talking about 40+ pens during 30+ years. Light, but perfectly balanced. The nib (I prefer EF) writes a narrow line, close to japanese F nibs.

A great fountain pen that writes really well. I chose this one for its better portability rather than the piston filler version as it is easier to carry a tin of cartridges than a bottle of ink.

I am very disappointed by this purchase. Owning two other Pelikan fountain pens I was expecting a similar quality but this is not the case. I bought this pen as an alternative, for travel, to the piston equipped pens I own. The ink flow is really bad, a struggle, and the international standard cartridges are very difficult to insert, close to impossible to fit contrary to the specifications of this pen. It is also very lightly built, a cheap version of other Pelikan products?

For my average-size hand, the pen has good heft and balance. It writes smoothly, never skips. I'm happy with the medium nib, but the customer-changeable nib is a good feature. The cap screws on and off, helping to ensure that the cap won't pop off and let ink ruin a shirt. I like the width of the pen; it is slightly wider than my Montblanc Meisterstuck, which is now retired. The ink cartridges seem to be the same size and shape as Waterman cartridges, which are available at more office supply shops than Pelikan cartridges.JetPens packed the pen and ink very securely and shipped my order fairly quickly.

Fountain pen

Very good pen. Writes well.

This is a fine writing instrument.

Smooth point, quick response, great gliding write.
