I work as a copy editor in an often noisy office, and I have a hard time editing when people are talking. Since sound-cancelling headphones are so expensive, I opted for this lower-cost solution and have not been disappointed. They are comfortable and muffle noise well. When I can still hear what people are saying, I just slip some earbuds on under the ear muffs and listen to some white noise, like rainfall, on YouTube at a low volume.Sometimes these press on my jaw or that soft spot right under the ear, which gets pretty uncomfortable after a while -- especially with the addition of earbuds. I think some pressure is unavoidable, though, and I'm usually able to reposition them to be more comfortable.

I've been using this hearing protection daily in my cabinet shop for probably five years. Not only do they reduce the noise levels of all the various machines I use during the day (some of them are very loud) but they've also held up to the rigor of being knocked around the shop much better than other sets I've used. Hearing damage is irreversible, folks: don't compromise on your hearing protection.

These Earmuffs are what really got me hooked on 3M Peltor. I love the size and how they just totally encapsulate my ears. Gives that sense of security and protection. Plenty room for your ears and the headband fits many head sizes. I use it on other hearing protection as well

My cubicle is abutted by the 3 loudest individuals in my office. With my auditory issues, this makes concentration and productivity impossible. These surprisingly comfortable earmuffs eliminate almost all of the din. Better yet, I can comfortably wear Bluetooth earbuds underneath, allowing me to play white noise at low volumes; this allows me to focus completely without any hearing damage. These earmuffs saved my job, and my sanity.
Very decent soundproofing and really nice looks. One minor drawback though - there is a strange feeling like something causing pressure on one's eardrums while wearing this headgear. Maybe I'll get used to it or maybe the earmuff will adjust, I don't know yet. It's not a big deal but an issue was quite unexpected. It cuts off the most annoying frequencies of the human voices and although you can still hear that people ARE talking it doesn't bother you that much anymore (something that moldex foam plugs - while giving you better soundproofing against the household noises - failed to achieve). It fares well in the industrial environment too.
They seem to muffle sounds, but I can still hear my TV with them on. I'm not sure if they would work very well at the indoor range. I ordered the large size and they fit my big head well, but they really stick out like a sore thumb!
I love these earmuffs. They are light and comfortable, with an excellent noise reduction rating. This is my 3rd pair so far. I have tried other brands, but they are not as easy to wear for a long time.
Very disappointed, both ear pads fell off within 1 hour of use and they will not clip back into place. I have an earlier model that works great and they have lasted for a couple of years and are still working great. 3M used to make good quality products but as with many companies they have tried to cut coast by moving some of there production to other countries and the quality of the product has declined.
I bought these for church. Our band plays at over 109 decimals of sound at a constant for over a half hours time and the pain got to be too much for me. I tried talking with the sound techs but got no where. So I chose to pick my battle and got these beauties instead. They work awesome! They cut the noise down perfectly. The sound isn't eliminated because it's just too loud, but it is cut down to a perfect "normal" level. I LOVE IT. (They don't do anything to cut out my neighbors bass though, but that's not why I bought them.)
I bought it to replace my original one. My husband had worn it at work around very loud machinery. When his was replaced, he gave it to me to use when I mow the lawn. We used it so much the covering over the ears was cracking. The new one is exactly what I was expecting.
