Textbook cabernet sauvignon, rewarding multiregional, multi-vineyard blending, supported by sensitive use of French and American oak. 'Matured for 12 months in French (25% new) and American (10% new) hogsheads. Bright colour; a testament to the formidable skills and experience of the Penfolds winemaking team: five very different regions (Wrattonbully, Coonawarra, Padthaway, McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley) and a Magimix assembly of oak treatments. The bouquet is utterly convincing, as is the genetic expression of cabernet sauvignon on the long, powerful, medium-bodied palate - which brings with it a silver platter of cabernet tannins.' - 96 Points James Halliday.

My Go To Cabernet Sauvignon, I never let the price of it get in the way! From the tannins to the finish, this stuff is the best!

I enjoy a full bodied Cab and this one was not. It was almost watered down. I was very disappointed.

I’ve been to the Barrossa valley in Australia on a wine tour but we did not get to stop at Penfolds. However, I have heard a lot about how good Penfolds wines are including this cab. This was a good wine but I’m not sure it’s worth the $70 price tag. I am sure I will not buy it again but if someone offers it to me at a dinner I will not turn it down. :)It’s a good wine but too light of a taste for me. I like bold, dry wines.

Great Cab Sauv. Default wine for Christmas Day as a treat. Highly recommended.
