Overall, I liked that this perfume broke up the pace between some of the other perfumes I use. The aroma seems to be citrus-y to me, which I found to be a nice change from the florals I normally use. The aroma is very, very strong on application. I've used perfumes in the past that I would describe as soft or delicate but this is much more dominant. The scent lasted a good chunk of the day - I would say its staying power is somewhere around eight hours.

The Racquets scent is very unique. It's very bright due to the Lemon scent. That takes precedent when you initially apply it. As it begins to mellow the hint of wood and leather appears. I noticed the leather quickly. As the scent warms on the skin the scents blend into a bright yet warm combination. I've been wearing the scent for about 3 or 4 hours and it's still noticeable. I definitely see this as a summer or early fall scent. A few sprays go a long way so there is no need to go overboard. This is truly less is more fragrance. I think this would make a great gift for a loved one or a friend.

I recently tried Penhaligon's scent Raquets. I absolutely love the fragrance. Fresh and clean smelling with subtle hints of nature. I received several compliments while wearing this scent. I'm eager to try other scents from this collection.

The scent of this perfume is hard to describe. Kind of like a woodsy lemon I guess. I wasn't sure I liked it at first but I meadowed out after a little while and was a nice scent. It's stronger than what I typically wear but I can really smell the lemon which I enjoy. I just have a sample and I'm not sure I love it enough that I would purchase a whole bottle. I would recommend it though because it does smell good, and lasts all day... it's just not for me.
This perfume has a strong long lasting scent. One spritz is all you need to last all day. It does become more subtle throughout the day. It has a hint of citrus with a masculine, musky overtone. This would be good for a special evening out. For me I think it's too strong to wear everyday. This definitely would last cause alittle goes a long way.
I have never used a Penhaligon’s fragrance before, but was curious and decided to give it a try. My first impression is that it had a really strong, crisp lemon scent to it followed by a woodsy scent. I found that you don’t need to spray very much of it on you, and it does last all day long without fading quickly. The bottle and package design are very unique and eye-catching. It would make a nice gift for someone whether it be man or woman as I feel that this fragrance could be unisex. I really wanted to like this fragrance, but it really has a more masculine feel to it and is just not right for me personally.
I received a free sample of Penhaligon’s Racquets Eau de Parfum from TryIt Sampling for a review. First I would like to say it has several different scents from when you first put it on till you have worn it for several hours. I love it! It smells citrusy at first then after it dries it has a nice cooler and refreshing scent that lingers for hours. After wearing it for a while it doesn't have a loud scent but nice and light. Very enjoyable scent. I had people say "you smell nice" and ask me what I was wearing because they liked the scent. It is high quality and I would recommend it.
This was not love at first sniff. Racquets is definitely a unique combination of lemon and leather and I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about it. Initially, the lemon is very bright and citrusy and then the leather is very earthy and it makes for kind of a funky mix. The longer it was on my skin the more it mellowed and the lemon lost some of the edge and I smelled amber and some warm notes. I really enjoy it once it has settled a bit. Not something I see becoming my signature scent, but a fun departure from the norm.
So upon first two sprays it was definitely very LEMON. This scent weakened a bit and another scent arose, somewhat like cologne, you definitely get citrus though. Three sprays lasted about five hours so it is a decent length wear, without having to reapply. It’s marked as unisex but I feel this scent leans more towards masculine. Overall good fragrance! It’s a unique fragrance that will definitely have someone asking you what you’re wearing!
This perfume has a great aroma.The smell of lemon is not too overpowering but it's very bright and makes the perfume smell very crisp and fresh..The other flavors of the perfume are big enough to not overpower the lemon smell but give it a great accompaniment..You only need a spray or two and the smell lasts all day long..This perfume is perfect for work and even on date night. I have had several compliments about this perfume and it's been a while since I had a perfume that everyone else tends to think smells great as well..
