Penn Slammer 760LL Classic Reel
The Slammer Live Liner Same great features as the Penn Slammer, butwith the added benefit of a Live Liner drag, ideal for swimming livebaits. The Penn Live Liner is the perfect reel for anglers who preferthe ease of a spinning reel, but the practicality of a conventionalreel. The Live Liner drag can be adjusted to control the drag tension, allowing anglers to fish various sized baits and maintain control overthe bait, an essential factor when live baiting.

Great Reel that I matched upto a 7'7" 8.5kg Ugly Stick, both rod and reel are well balanced and the ProBraid really complimented the Penn 560. Very smooth action, bait feeder works really well, but I found that on the smaller live baits you need to really wind down the tension so that it allows the spool to run freely. When you get a bite, it effortlessly winds in both flathead and pinkies with medium action from the rod.The order, delivery and timing was immaculate, and great automated email communication from start to finish, I've already recommended this web site to few of my friends... For those in Melbourne, it's snapper season, so grab a bargain from these guys and hit "the warmies" if fishing from Land or port Phillip bay on a boat.

I have loved using my penn slammer reel on the beaches of perth, mainly targeting tailor and small mulloway. It offers a far smoother and longer cast than i would ever have expected for quite an oversized looking reel, also beeing able to handle heavy lines while doing so. This reel does however feel abit sluggish for targeting fish such as bream in the swan river, and is not as versatile as i would have hoped, I clearly need to drain my pockets again on another reel! I have seen this reel advertised for twice the price at my local tackleshop so im stoked to have found one here :) It came in only 3 days too!

Used both the Penn Bait Runner 560 and 760 and found the latter to have more grunt but a bit bulkier. The 560 is lighter and better all rounder but the 760 superior when fishing for bigger beach fish. I caught a 8kg Mulloway no sweat. This is the first time I use bait runners and will stay with these reels. Can highly recommend them.

I got this Penn Slammer 360 to replace one I lost overboard. I was surprised I found a new one as I thought it was discontinued many years ago. My original lasted 20 years and was still performing perfectly. I had 20 pound test Power Pro braid on it, and it was mainly used inshore for Striped Bass and Bluefish. But it's been on 7 trips to Florida and the Caribbean. The final week I had it in my possession I caught five small 4-5 pound Snook, Barracudas to 30 pounds, a couple of 30 pound Mahi and 2 Tarpon. The first Tarpon was 65- 70 pounds, it was the largest fish I ever caught with this reel. I got it along side a kayak in 6 minutes, it then took another six minutes to grab it and get a picture. The other Tarpon was just 25-30 pounds but managed to swim away with my rod and reel while attempting to remove the hook. Love this reel, hoping this replacement lasts just as long. It was used 20-40 days a year, on windy days it was splashed and sprayed with saltwater constantly. I only ever completely cleaned it out once after a submersion, was always hosed off.
Great reel, amazing price, unbelievable service. Ordered from Canada, got here quicker than if I purchased from the U.S. Total bill came out to 83$ Can. Definitely got me as a new customer. Much appreciated, will definitely pass the word.
Recently purchased the Penn Live liner before venturing up to the Northern Territory to fish some of the streams feeding into the gulf. The reel worked brilliantly both tralling for barra, blue nose salmon in the bay, spinning for barra, queen fish, mangrove jack using lures and plastics in the estuary and small creeks or Jew fish, bream and snapper in the deeper hole using live bait. I consider it an excellent purchase for all purposes.
Absolutely love the Penn Slammer 360 (one of three I own). For bait fishing from the surf, the ratio is absolutely perfect. What is wrong with the Penn company? It's no longer being made. I guess none of their sales people are fishermen anymore.
This is the best reel I have ever owned. I have had my first 360 Slammer since 9/20/10 and it still performs great. I have caught a lot of amazing salt and fresh water fish with this reel. I bought this second 360 for my son so he can enjoy it one day. I own the old 4400ss and the new Spinfisher V 4500 and they don't compare to this reel. I think the new Spinfisher V is an over engineered piece of junk. Bottom line is I love this reel and highly recommend it.
I got 300m of 24kg fireline with the reel and happily wound on about 150 m of 30lb backing braid before tying the supplied braid on and beginning to wind it on. 470 yards of 50lb braid is listed in the specs as the reel capacity but I was pretty miffed when the reel capacity turned out to be way less than this. I had to wind off all the line on the Reel and start again. It just fit the 24kg fireline and that was all! Despite being down about 40%on advertised spool capacity, it worked ok, handling a 36 kg guitarfish off Woodgate Beach on the first outing.
Well every one knows Penn makes there slammers tough. A simple no nonsense reel that should last me a life time.. I put 300m of 20lb mono on and that was well below the top of the spool .I have it on a 12ft beach rod and christened it with some night fishing off Fremantle's north mole. It performed faultlessly and helped me land two 40cm+ tailor. Within an hour, so now its also my lucky reel
