Fantastic rod!!! Extremely good for the price good for just about anything I have 12 lb mono spooled on it and I catch anything and everything on it saltwater and freshwater it's an amazing all rounder definitely do buy basically a expensive combo that's affordable

Disappointed from Penn . Rod top section broke while fishing for salmon with fish on. Not an overly big fish either. Screws on reel not stainless and rust already appearing on them even though rinsing and cleaning . Not obviously their top line by any means but a let down for such a reputable company

Received the combo via online purchase however it was missing the handle. The team at Chatswood replaced the reel and it was good to go. Pulled in a couple big breams with ease. There is a slight squeak when reeling and not sure if this is normal considering it is 3+1 bearing? Bit disappointing but happy with this combo.

Very happy with this combo, I purchased 2 for my kids 8 & 9 and the rods and reels have handled a bit of rough stuff being dropped in salt water and bashed into trees, cars etc. They also handle bigger fish, they have caught a decent Trevally and Bream. The combos are also good for feeling the smallest of bites. Overall would recommend to anyone, just starting or experianced.
Finally got to test it out. Great for the price. Had to lock tight a screw on the bail arm but noticed that before going near the water. No issues on the water
Very happy with the rod and reel. nice balance and 300m of 17lb brade fills the reel perfectly.The drag is silky smooth and has a nice sound when its being tested by a good fish!It looks the go and backs it up with solid performance.Happy as.
I am a beginner at surf fishing and this is my first rod. It is easy and light enough for me to use without necessarily being bulky. Having said that, it is pretty durable and strong for tackling. I would definitely recommend to anyone who would like to have a go at surf fishing

Got this rod on a whim as I wanted something large for beach and rock fishing, this thing is super sturdy, handles big fish with absolute ease, handled a large 7 Gill and 2 port Jackson's with ease. Great rod for the price
Bought this combo so I wouldn't be too concerned about the grandkids using it. It's a tough rod and has taken some knocks. Would recommend it for those with a little less experience.
