This is my second Penny skateboard. After my Midnight Glow 32, I didn't think I'd be back for another but the quality of these are exceptional. So how did I get here? I used to think that it was going to be an issue balancing my US size 8.5 feet on a 22" board barely 6" across (think of that image of an elephant on a ball) but I've realised now that it's all in the mind! There's plenty of space! A great portable cruiser that I can now take everywhere with me. Now to get a 27" one to complete the set. Penny will then cover all my skating needs.

Awesome product!

Delivery by Auspost - standard, nothing to write home about. Packaging was secure but big, so don’t try to use Parcel Locker. The board itself came in a pristine condition. Authentic penny style board. This is my first time learning how to skate ever, and even though people say pennies are bad for beginners, I actually love learning on this one. Colour paint of the deck is well done and doesn’t look fake or tacky. The wheels roll good - not too fast or too slow. Been practising my balance everyday since i got it and i love it. Already got scratches on my tail and tip (but this was because i wasn’t being so careful with my board - the material is surprisingly very sturdy). Will get parts from kickpush if i ever want to modify my board!

Best Cruiser! Hands down.

Loyal fan of Penny boards, started out with the Penny Nickel to get to high school back in 2014. Board lasted me till now and decided to purchase the 32. Same great quality but turning isn’t as flexibility and comfortable as the nickel. The tail of the 32 is a little flimsy but still gives you enough pop. Overall, it’s a great board to get to point a to point b and still do tricks here and there. Eventually I did upgrade the wheels to 58mm bones and upgraded the bearings too. Nothing with the original wheels and bearings. Just wanted an upgrade to help slide my tricks. Enjoy the video attached of a backside flip on a pyramid.

Board so nice, someone stole it.
20 July 2021

This board was sooooo hawt looking that some foo stole it while my back was turned. Never turn your back on this board. Some punk will rob you blind. I almost gave this board a bad review just because I wonder if it’s too good looking. Maybe someday I’ll recycle enough cans to replace the board that was taken from me. Until that day though, my butt is walking to the recycling center. Life is cruel.

EDC Transportation?

This thing is great. I’m a transportation skater (ie, prefer wheels over walking) and big believer in the saying ā€˜the only good ____, is the one you happen to have with you’, and the tiny/light Penny is the mostly likely set of wheels I’ll have with me. Pushes nearly as well as other top mounts, and is surprisingly decent at pumping too.The 22ā€ length is just right for quick/easy horizontal carry in the small of my back, either resting on backpack straps, or under the lid of my messenger bag. Nose and tail ride just behind my elbows so no need turn sideways in crowds or through doorways, and fits in a airline carry-on.Lack of griptape is a huge benefit as it won’t abrade my bags or clothing while carried, and the Blackout treatment is much appreciated for the ...Ā MoreThis thing is great. Excellent board for learning, cruising, and experimenting
23 August 2019

I purchased this board from a local Zumiez a few years ago, back when Penny boards had gained a LOT of popularity, and thought it would be a good board for learning to skate. I ended up struggling with my footing at first, but once you get the hang of it it makes an excellent dense city (namely Boston) cruiser once you've found the sweet spot with the trucks. I ended up absolutely falling in love with Penny and their Fibreglass boards rather than traditional wood. The only downside is you frequently need to sand the edges of the board down, as debris will frequently cause jagged edges and whatnot on the edges of the board. Easy to maintain, incredible easy to learn on - regardless of your "size" as that seems to be the main turn off for people and 22" boards. Great cruising board

First board ever that rides smoothly on a lot of surfaces. Unless the road or pavement has massive holes, gravel or cobblestones it handles the road very well.I chose the 22 because I need a small board for commuting and to take it on the bus or train in Hong Kong. The weight is ok, I expected it slightly lighter and it’s easy to clip on my backpack or small slingbag. It’s kinda slippery when it rains because there is no real grip. So I expected grip tape to come with the board like in other videos that I have seen for unboxing the Pennyboards. Additionally I think an option to add a key to loosen the trucks would be great too as not everyone would have the right tools at home.Harder to learn or do any tricks with it, but still possible to do the easier ...Ā MoreFirst board ever that rides smoothly on a lot of surfaces. But it would have been easier to learn with a bigger surface board.

Means to an End

I needed a cost effective solution to a mobility restriction: Much of my commute to work involved walking over smooth ground. Realizing that walking time could be reduced significantly using a wheeled vehicle, I decided to pursue either a skateboard or a bicycle. Not wanting to yield to the variable liabilities and high risks associated with utilizing a bicycle, I decided to pursue the economical and portable Penny board (22inch model). Without having prior experience with skateboard mobility whatsoever, there was a period of training in a safe and sane area without interference of motor vehicles or pedestrians in order to acclimate myself to basic skills. Before long, I was able to functionally move, advance, stop, and apply simple course-adjustments. Since the initial investment, I have reaped considerable returns that have reached far beyond the time saving objective. I intend on making the Penny board a new part of my general mobility experience, taking it beyond the work commute. On a related note, I will begin protesting the continued maintenance of the sidewalks, roads, and paths to be free of debris, pot holes, and general depreciation.

Simply the best one

You don't need to know anything but that this is the best 22' Cruiser out there, the original. Perfect for riding around town or with your dog as i do skate with my border collie and no speed wobbles nor rocks interfere with the ride. 100% recommended.

One of the reasons why I love the penny board is the built quality. It’s so good! When you touch it and you will agree. And other features like robustness and design. I love everything about my penny board ā¤ļø This is coming from who started riding skateboard board from 33 years old 😁
