Excellent drafting pencil. Light, thin grip, sturdy material and a nice lead feed and sleeve, this line of pencils has always been the minimum standard for drafting pencils, long used by many. Only bad point is that it is pricier due to its lead size. Other than that, a pencil worth to be in every person's stationary selection.

I go way back with the P200 pencils, like 35+ years, but this is my first ever P203. Love it. Brilliant for tiny details in drawings. I bought two because I figured I'd love it and wanted to have one with HB lead and another with 2H.

Excellent quality. A bit scratchier, but I guess that's to be expected due to how fine the lead is. I've come to understand that these are priced higher than other pencils in the line because these are not sold everywhere. I'm from the US, and am being led to believe these aren't sold here by Pentel, so that probably has something to do with the higher price.

I found the 0.7m style in the pen bin at my work office and have not used any mechanical pencil since. This 0.3 mm style is really well constructed and I am obsessed with the thin lead. I don't use the eraser though, as it's not very good.
I love the lightness and feel of this pencil, and the .3mm feed is great for detail work, especially in small sketchbooks. I've used the P-203 for about 20 years, and I've ordered this as a back up, because I don't want to ever be without one.
I've held a good share of mechanical pencils in my hand. All the Rotrings, and many others. I settled on this series. It's pretty much flawless. There's nothing distracting about how it looks or feels. It's light weight, so using this pencil wont make other pens or pencils feel alien. The clip is in a spot that doesn't touch your hand when you use it. Its got grip that isn't distracting. After years of obsessively trying out different pencils, I have settled on this one, and the obsessive thoughts have stopped. I have been drawing with this pencil for two years straight. I like using it with "Pentel Super-Hi-Polymer HB leads".
I like the light weight and slender feel of the this model, complete with a grippy ring right where the metal cone joins the plastic body. I think differences in shape and weight of the pencil can affect how you draw and write, etc.
Feels cheap, actuates cheaply. The led slides out completely sometimes if you hold the button too long. This may have been state of the art back in the 70's but there are far better choices out there now. The plastic it's made of feels too slippery, too light to provide good feedback for better control, younger people may handle it better but at 57 years of age I need something more substantial. If you can buy this for less than $5-7 then it's OK. More than that and you will not get your money's worth.
The pentel 0.9 pencil is ideal for crosswords and Sudoku puzzles as narrower leads catch the paper. I only wish that the leads were a wider range such as a 2B.
Pencil provides thin and light marks for drawings when watercolour painting . Very good
